We were in Cahir for the weekend and stumbled across this restaurant. Needless to say the menu was somewhat over priced. Not surprising, considering there was no competition in the town. We had no reservation and were told we could come in and have a table for one hour, and one hour only as there were reservations for later. At this stage the restaurant was only half full, what the rush was I am unsure. In my opinion it was a somewhat abrupt greeting for a customer. Also we presumed that the premise sold alcohol, and there was no BYO sign anywhere, to advise otherwise. My other half had a nice chicken dish which was lovely, however there failed to be adequate potatoes served with it. I had spinach and ricotta pasta, which was decidely mediocre for the price, but nevertheless it was tasty. The side of garlic bread, contained way too much garlic and that was a problem later in the night, when it was repeating on me. All in all an average restaurant, some good points, some areas to improve...such as decor also.

I was down in Cahir for the weekend and we stumbled across this place. Best Italian food I have had in a long time. Pizza was yummy, good ingredients and my boyfriend got meatballs they were also delicious. The staff were super friendly and very accommodating, fitted us in without a booking despite being really busy. A must if you are in Cahir.

I love Gaileo and the food is always faultless, always hot and yum yum yum yum yum yum. Espcially love the Pizzas (Nicest I ever ate) and the Irlandese one is well worth the try, all the Pastas are fab espcially the Pescatori!! Try it all its all nice!!!

A great restaurant. A superb atmosphere. Feels like a real Italian restaurant. The place was buzzing when we got there and we were glad we booked. Every time someone left there were people waiting for seats! The food and service were top class.

I like this restaurant there is a good atmosphere and you can bring you own wine which really cuts down on the bill! Most of the food is very nice, however, I had the lasagna once and it was very watery and not very filling. The steak is very nice. I must try a pizza next time I am in.

This is a great restaurant with great food, a big menu, fab pizzas and great for veggies like me. First tip is to make sure to bring your own wine. The staff are friendly and helpful and are welcoming to children. The garlic mushrooms are divine. My husband always tries something different and has yet to be disappointed. This must be the best restaurant around for miles.

Popped in here on a busy Friday Evening on the off chance they had a table. Although it was busy and they had tables reserved for later we were seated provided they got the table back by 8. No problem there. Even though the table was needed back in 90 minutes the waitress took an age to come over to take our order, she was too busy standing around chatting to her collegue. Eventually the only 1 out of 3 waitress who seemed to be rushed off her feet came over. We both ordered the 'spicy' chicken wings to start and for mains was Penne Arrabiata for my partner and a classic Spaghetti Bolognese for myself. The chicken wings were an almighty let down. Although there was plenty of them they were smothered in a thick, slightly spicey tomato sauce which as it turned out was remarkably similar to the Arrabiata suace we got with the pasta later. They were difficult to eat with either cutlery or hands (no finger bowl was provided) and the sauce completely overpowered the wings. The mains were a bit more satisfying, not the best bolognese I've ever had but certainly not the worst. However, what this place seemed to be popular for were it's pizzas and they certainly looked very appealling so we said we'd maybe get a pizza if we were here again. By chance we tried out Galileos sister restaurant in Clonmel the following week for lunch and both had pizzas which were absolutely yummy. So I would visit the Cahir establishment again, for the Pizzas. A word of advice though, lay off the sauce on the wings.. try an alternative recipe.

We must say fair play to all staff of this cafe. The food was a1 as well as the atmosphere. It is a very busy restaurant we heard. You have to book in advance for week ends. Again we were about 8 of us, the food came at the same time. The pasta was delicious, my girlfriend said. It is very cosy restaurant, Inside you actually feel that you are in a foreign mediterranean country. Once again thank you. We will visit again.

One of the few BYOB places I have found in Ireland. I often stop here while travelling to Wexford and each time, the food is really good. The salads are a bit on the small side for the price in my opinion, but there is a great choice and the dressings are quite good (real ancovies in the caesar!). Pizza is good quality dough and the toppings are generous enough. Can be a busy little place and often have to wait for a table. Good overall, could do with dropping the prices a little, they are around what you would expect to pay in a city but not small town Ireland.

This was much better than the Gallileo in Clonmel. The food was nicer, the staff were nicer, the atmosphere was better & the prices were better. Would go back here again. As I meantioned in my review for the Galileo in Clonmel, two former chefs set up another restaurant in Fermoy called Bella Cafe which leaves the two Galileo places in the shade!

Excellen Italian. Fresh food, value for money. Really tasty. The only prob i'd have with it is that sometimes the staff look grumpy and make you feel that you are putting them out. Other than that i'd still eat there every day if i could. Also, i nearly forgot, they have excellent smoothies and juices and desserts. yum yum

I can't believe this place hasn't been reviewed yet. The food is delicious, would recommend everything on the menu. It all freshly prepared and cooked to perfection and any individual request is catered for. Great for lunch, coffee, dinner, quick bite to eat or a night out. No licence, so BYO, no problem you wouldn't even notice. Great staff,
