Sligo Park Hotel 2.0 star review: Having waited to be noticed at the reception desk we decided to seat ourselves. We placed our orders, but did find the selection on offer overall was quite limited. We decided on Caesar salad and spring rolls for starters, however, the spring rolls were no longer available. In place of which we chose, when offered a chicken and mushroom vol u vent. The Caesar salad was disappointing, plenty of chicken and croutons but smothered in mayonnaise and very salty. The vol u vent presented was salmon and not chicken which was returned and replaced with a Caesar salad. For mains we ordered chicken and hake, the hake was gone we were told, so reluctantly salmon was ordered. The chicken was dry and overcooked and a very distasteful sauce was served with the salmon therefore a portion of the meal could not be eaten. Mashed potato unseasoned, dry and flavorless. Baileys profiteroles were enjoyable and coffee was good. Service slow, but helpful. Atmosphere dull, comfortable dining booths, but overall disappointing. Venue and food Not 4* standard!
