Mandarin HousePosted on 09 November 2012
I was looking for a good restaurant close to the cinema, found this gem thanks to menupages, the reviews were spot on. The food is excellent, so tasty and big portions too. The service was also good and really good value for money. You have to try it. I have walked pass this restaurant millions of times and never dreamed of going in until I read these reviews and now this will become a regular favourite of mine when going to the cinema. Try their daily specials. Their shredded pork dishes are also divine. You won't be disappointed.

Thai SpicePosted on 21 May 2012
am a regular patron to this restaurant. I have been to all the Thai restaurants in Dublin city centre and the food in Thai Spice beats them all hands down. The other restaurants may be a bit plusher & posher & more expensive, but their food doesn’t match up to Thai Spice. The staff are very friendly and helpful too, they really make you feel welcome.
It can be a hard restaurant to find as it is down a back street off Store Street and Talbot St, but once you find it, it will be worth the effort and you will always remember where it is again. The portion sizes are also very generous compared to other Thai restaurants. They also have a very tastey Set Menu which is really good value.
I bought a menupages voucher recently for a friend of mine so she could try it out. She brought her 2 kids with her and the staff fussed over the kids and gave them a fantastic enjoyable evening. They are still talking about it. This is a gem of a restaurant and it will not disappoint.

China SichuanPosted on 22 July 2011
It had been a few years since I was at this fabulous restaurant. I had moved away from the area and they had moved too. I was so looking forward to dining here again and I was not disappointed. The food was as excellent as ever.
The Hot & Sour soup is the best I have ever tasted. The bon-bon chicken is a lovely dish. The Five Spiced Beef melts in your mouth, the beef is so tender and tasty, it is divine. I was so happy to see they still had their Dan Dan noodles, they are to die for. We had a really pork shreds and rib eye beef dishes for our mains, they were really really good.
The manager is excellent at recommending dishes that suit your tastes, he has been the manger there for many years and knows all his customers really well and makes them feel so welcome. I can not wait to return here again.

Plan BPosted on 08 February 2010
Went there last Friday night, arrived just after 9 and our timing was perfect as a table had just become free and it was the only available one left.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, gave us good advice for the wine, the house red was suprisingly good.
Given it was late, I just had a main, I ordered Lasagne. It was the BEST lasagne I have ever had. The portion was large too, I couldnt finish it. I got chatting to the chef afterwards to try and find out his lasagne secret. Lets just say, it takes 5-6 hours to make & worth every minute ....

Fallon and ByrnePosted on 09 December 2009
This is a very special restaurant, I went there for my birthday. Their aged fillet of steak is to die for, so tender & their bearnaise sauce is the best in Dublin!! I always go for their steak and it is always excellent. They have an excellent cheese board too. Book early as it can be hard to get a table.

Millstone, A Dublin RestaurantPosted on 09 December 2009
Yet another fabulous meal, food was superb, service was good and excellent value for money given the quality of the food. This restaurant is consistently great, meal after meal. Sadly its getting very popular now as the good word is spreading so it can be hard to get a table.

The Alamo RestaurantPosted on 06 March 2009
Had a great meal with some friends, we ordered the 2 & 3 course special offer meal. The selection of courses was very good, it was hard to decide what to choose. Excellent value for money & the free wine was quite good as well. Looking forward to my next visit.
