I go here regularly, so not sure if this counts as a bias. I go because the food is consistently good, and simple (i wish other restaurants would take the example from here), with work colleagues I go for lunch, and the burger, the club and fish and chips are staples in our rotation, and are really really very good. Of course there are many other fine choices!. The staff are friendly, efficient and generally busy. At the weekends, I love nothing more than hitting this spot for brunch, where the choices are again all so good, and as you laze awhile reading the papers, you're transported to that nice place, and that's what this is. I kept this a secret from people for a while, but think you ought to know, this rocks. If I was to critcise anything, and I'd rather not, I do wish the trialled opening later in the evenings, as I for one would be there.

This is not an experience I'm gonna repeat. The surroundings are great and the buildings and the decor promise so much. But that's all it is a promise. We were ignored for 20 minutes, yet there quite a lot of staff available. When we ordered, the staff were functional but not especially friendly, and the food, god the food. Make no mistake, it's tasteless, it's bland, it's awful, it really is, I couldn't believe it, I was entertaining friends, and this was really not a good venue choice. I don't know how they do it, but if you want to be wholly and utterly disappointed as we were, no wait, don't do it! It's not worth it, and after paying for it, you feel pretty foolish parting with such hard earned monies for such poor poor quality. This is possibly the anti-restaurant of the year... Don't bother, I wish I hadn't!
