Matt The Thresher Seafood Bar and GrillPosted on 16 March 2012
As a party of four including an American, we thought Matt the Threshers would be ideal to experience Irish food. We ended up being very disappointed. Having been seated, we were informed there were no oysters or mussels. When we placed our order, we were informed that vegetables were not available, leaving one of our party to enjoy his steak with a side of chips and mash potatoes, for want of other options. The waitress than informed us there was no squid either.
For a place referred to as a Seafood Bar and Grill, there was little evidence there of, and with our choice so limited, we did not enjoy our meal as much as we had hoped. As we left the restaurant, we noticed a local supermarket was still open. Surely such an oversight as a lack of vegetables could have been prevented.
