Dobbins @ The ParkPosted on 24 August 2007
Went here for dinner on Wednesday night with a big group. Brilliant atmosphere and the staff were extremely helpful and polite. Had spring roll starter, which was lovely as was the chocolate mousse dessert. The only thing that let the place down was the steaks ordered for main course. Pretty much all of them came out well done. Some of the party sent theirs back which resulted in a delay although the staff handled it without grumble. Will definitely give this place a second shot.

Hole In The Wall Phoenix ParkPosted on 11 June 2007
Had a fabulous meal here with friends on Friday night. Nice cosy atmosphere although it felt a little empty. Had lovely mussels to start and a gorgeous lamb main course - spiced lamb with rocket, hummus, salsa and flat bread. So unusual but I would highly recommend it. We all retired to the lovely soft seating up in the gallery to continue enjoying the fabulous house red. Very reasonable at €40 each which included about 4 bottles of wine. Will definitely be back

Fire RestaurantPosted on 05 June 2007
Could not fault this place at all. Friendliest staff I have encountered in a long time - even from the moment I called to make the booking!! Between us we had the prawn and crab starters which were gorgeous. I had the most amazing chicken whilst my other half enjoyed the specialty steak - at €45 he reckoned it was well worth the money. Only slightly bad thing was the fact that nothing on the dessert menu took our fancy so we opted for some ice-cream. Total including a lovely bottle of Rose came to €132 which I thought was great value. Will definitely be back!

Giovanni’s Pizzeria RestaurantPosted on 10 April 2007
Definitely a contender for worst restaurant ever. Waited almost 5 minutes to be shown a table. Inside it is very tacky and cheap - paper tablecloths! Services was exceptionally bad and we had to constantly re-request drinks, glasses, side orders etc.... Half an hour after we had finished our main course a waitress eventually appeared but instead of clearing our plates she simply took the black pepper from our table and walked off!!! We left promptly after that without our tea / coffee included in the early bird price. No tip and definitely no second chance!

Havana Tapas BarPosted on 26 March 2007
Was here on Saturday with a big group. Food was quite good and there was a nice atmosphere but the very rude waitress and slow service really let the place down. We had to continually repeat orders and trying to grab her was a difficult task. She even made us feel guilty for ordering more food or drink!!! Very good value though!

Acapulco RestaurantPosted on 08 March 2007
Good points being friendly service and value for money however the food was not of the quality I remembered. Started platter is very good and enough to feed an army. Went for the chicken enchiladas which lacked any good chicken - it seemed to be grated / broken up and not of good quality. Nice bustly atmosphere though.

The Twelfth LockPosted on 07 March 2007
Have frequently eaten here. Decided to dine here on Saturday evening whilst enjoying a few drinks. They seem to have recently changed the menu and so decided to go with the beef and Guinness stew. It was simply delicious. Lovely wholesome food with a gorgeous flavour from it. Will definitely return.

Went here on Friday with a big gang from work. Staff were unbelievably friendly and nice to us. Had chicken starter, which was lovely, and the sea bass for my main. It was absolutely delicious and light. Then headed downstairs for the singing. Brilliant night out and great value. Would recommend it for a different night out.

ShimlaPosted on 08 January 2007
Not being a connoisseur of Indian food, the hype alone got me to go here. The food was absolutely delicious and staff were lovely - although a little slow in taking our order. Will definitely be back with someone who knows more about Indian food so as to fully appreciate this place.

Wongs of CastleknockPosted on 08 January 2007
Having being to the main restaurant before, I was exciting about their Tepinyake room, which also comes with free Karaoke!!! It was for my dad's 60th so oldish crowd but still had fabulous night. Chef was entertaining and cooked beautiful food. Staff completely encouraged drunken karaoke singing. Everyone had a brilliant night. Only downside might be that it's quite expensive - food is €45+ per head. Then again you get a whole night of entertainment for that!
