PichetPosted on 09 July 2012
We visited Pichet as a group of 5 for a graduation celebration. Both the food and staff were impecable. We ordered from the A La Carte menu, a mix of fish, meat and vegetarian. Everything was cooked to perfection. The cocktails, although over priced, were a great way tot start the meal. The only thing it severely lacked was atmosphere. The atmosphere and ambiance neither lived up to the quality of the food nor the price.

Siam Thai (Andrews Street)Posted on 28 May 2012
I dropped into Siam Thai for a payday lunch on Friday. I had been here before for an evening meal and had been suitably impressed.
I opted for the lunch special which is a bento box for €10 (approx). It was very tasty - including ribs, sweet and sour chicken, rice and salad.
The let down was not in the quality of the food but in the quantity.
My friend ordered the 2 course lunch for 14.95 which proved much better value for money. She ordered a starter which was a mix of spring roll, wonton and ribs along with a main course of garlic and pepper prawns. It was an excellent deal and the food went down a treat. The 2 course lunch also includes tea/coffee.
The service was very polite, although not pre-emptive. It was sometimes difficult to get the attention of the wait staff in order to ask for a top up of water, the bill etc.
Overall it's a great place but I think the lunchtime bento box is not the best way to experience the food.

Cinnamon RestaurantPosted on 28 May 2012
We went to Cinnamon for Saturday brunch. We had 2 breakfast salads along with Juice, coffee and a croissant.
The breakfast salads were absolutely delicious. It was a little expensive for breakfast but very much worth it as the food was delicious. The menu included a few "quirky" dishes which was nice and will attract us back.
The atmosphere was great - a rustic/funky feel to the place. You could go in for dinner or just coffee and feel very comfortable.
Great spot!

Lemon (Dawson St)Posted on 15 May 2012
Lemon is good for lunch or a quite bite. The staff are very efficient and they have a great variety of snacks on the menu from crepes (sweet & savoury) to paninis.
The only downfall is that they often don't provide enough filling (personally). This is especially the case with the dessert crepes.
However, the food is fast, good value for money and very tasty. I will continue to be a regular for lunch.

Kinara KitchenPosted on 15 May 2012
We booked in for the mid-week menu - 3 courses for €20. We were really impressed with the food, having never tried a Pakistani restuarant before.
The food was fabulous with a nice choice ( approximately 4 starters and main courses to choose from and one set dessert).
The food was quite spicy so if you like a milder dish it would be good to mention this to the server.
The servers were very friendly and very efficient and the restaurant is beautifully decorated.
It's a great place for a date night which won't break the bank.

l'Ecrivain RestaurantPosted on 09 May 2012
We booked in for the tasting menu with wine. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Each course was introduced to us with flair by the courteous waiting staff and the sommelier introduced all of the wines to us before each course. It was more than a meal – it was an education!
The service was faultless throughout the evening. The food was very well presented and seasonal fresh produce was used.
It is a wonderful restaurant and a wonderful treat – definitely worth a visit.
