Cafe Topolis

Cafe Topolis

Awww. I love Topolis. Friendly staff, great pizzas, and a good selection of pasta dishes, and all of it very cheap too. The wines are palatable (even the cheapy ones). My only complaint is the terrible music. Mostly Celine Dion, Michael Bolton and their ilk, but at least they have the decency to keep it at 'background' level.

Mediocre. Had a working lunch here a while ago and didn't think much of the food or the wine. Edible, but disappointing.

Taste Of India (Parliament Street)

The food was good (you can't really go very wrong with Indian food, can you?), but it didn't blow me away. The service was great, but I thought the price was a little high compared to some other Indian restaurants of similar quality. Two meals, a few beers and a glass of wine put a large dent in the old wallet.

This is just about the cheapest food I've had in a sit-down establishment for a long long time. However, since I'm a huge fan of Indian food, I found their selection limited and bland. It's perfectly healthy and edible - just nothing to write home about. I found the coffee unbearably bad.

Inchicore has always been a bit of a hole - just a collection of dodgy pubs and chippers that you'd cross the street to avoid, if it weren't for the dodgy pubs and chippers on the other side. Finally we have a decent eatery. The coffee is great, the wine is great and the staff are friendly, if maybe a little bit too Italian. (It can take a while for the staff to notice you, before loudly greeting you and telling you the day's specials.) I don't have dinner here too often, but it's a fantastic spot for a coffee & pastry.

Quite a nice Indian restaurant. It's good value, their house wine is easy to knock back, and there's a fairly decent selection of vegetarian food. I'd certainly go back there for lunch.

I love this place! The staff are friendly and the food is really good. It's a bit of a squeeze though, as it's small and very popular. The prices are good, and you won't leave hungry, as the portions are generous. It's a great 'meat & potatoes' vegetarian restaurant, if you'll excuse contradiction.

This is a good vegetarian restaurant - it's current favourite with myself and Sheena. We go here every week or two. The food changes from day to day, but it's reliable and cheap too.

Not much variety for vegetarians, and I've been told that it's not a good representation of 'proper' Mexican food. It seems like every meal is a just a slightly different method of delivering refried beans... Refried beans in a taco shell, a wrap, with nachos... Not bad, but you'll tire of it quickly. Prices are ok.

This is a great little place if you have a crowd of people. As far as I know they don't accept bookings - you just show up and hope for the best. The food is a great selection of tapas, and the vegetarians certainly won't be disappointed. Prices are just above average, but worth it.

Saba

Saba

I've brought several people to Saba in the last few weeks, and so far nobody has been disappointed, including vegetarians. The prices are moderate, but the food is great. I'm not generally a fan of Asian food, as it doesn't tend to change very much from one establishment to the next, but Saba is a welcome change.
