My boyfriend and I ate here last Wednesday. I knew the place was quite large and didn't expect there to be much of a crowd in there so I wasn't expecting an atmosphere. There were actually quite a lot of people in but was still a bit disappointed with the atmosphere. There is far too much space not being used here in my opinion as it feels like you're in a hotel foyer or something. We both ordered from the dinner menu and were pleased with the food for the price. I had the pork belly to start which was served with an apple sorbet. Nice idea and was very tasty once it warmed up enough to be able to eat. I had the rib eye for my main which was cooked properly and was tasty (wasn't overly keen on the butter it was served with) and the whole plate (including the salad) had a bit too much oil on it for my liking. My boyfriend had the mackerel and the duck which were both tasty. So all in all it was a tasty meal for a good price.

Delicious seafood! I went here last week with a couple of friends and was very impressed. The menu all looked delicious and they had a huge selection of specials which made the decision that much harder! We had the starter selection to share. There were pickled mussels in this selection which weren't so nice but the rest of the selection was all delicious especially the croquette and the oysters. I chose the monkfish which was cooked to perfection. It came out surrounding a cake of mashed roast potatoes with chorizo and there were loads of different, very tasty vegetables on the huge plate. The others had hake with cheesy polenta cakes and gurnard with champ which were also served with a yummy veg selection. We couldn't stop there (even though we probably should have) so we had deserts also. I had the creme brulee which was served with rhubarb and was very well presented and really delicious. The others got chocolate pudding and ice cream which were both yummy. The only negative I would say is the decor. They could do with changing the furniture as it isn't the most practical. There are big ugly couches (possibly trying to be moulin rouge style) that block the view out the window from the window seat. Their chairs are also quite big and the place we had at the window was quite squashed so I had to do some strange maneuvers to get in and out of my chair! Other than that I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for really good quality seafood and yummy desserts too

Myself and my boyfriend ate here in March on a friend's recommendation and we're very glad we did. The place is excellent. The atmosphere as soon as you walk in to the place is very relaxed and fun while the staff are very attentive and very french. The menu is simple which is great for me because I find it very hard to make decisions! The set starter was an amuse bouche of soup and a selection of other tasty treats. We got the steak and the fish (can't remember what the fish of the day was) which were both yummy. Not massive portions but plenty to fill you up and leave you satisfied. There was a choice of sides too and we got the gratin dauphinois and the ratatouille which were both delish and perfect accompaniment to our meal. Two thumbs up. We'll definitely be back

I eat here pretty regularly. They've got a lovely menu with good wholesome ingredients. The portions are just the right size to satisfy without having you over stuffed and they're priced accordingly. They've got a huge selection of tasty beers to go with your meal and the staff are always more than happy to suggest something that might be to your taste and to give you a taster of the draft beers if you can't make your mind up. Everything on the menu is delicious in my opinion. They change it up a bit so you get something new the next time you're in. I don't get starters in here too often but have had the scotch egg and the mussels which were both yummy. Mains I've had are the lamb burger (it's got goat's cheese and a yummy beetroot coleslaw and I don't normally like beetroot), Pork belly (nom!), Stuffed portobello mushroom (delish! Loads of nice things on the plate including a duck egg in breadcrumbs-gooey on the inside and crisp on the outside-a feat of tasty science!), Steak (nice size, tasty and cooked to order) and the haddock and chips (yummy chips and delish mushy peas! I'll be back again and again and recommend it to everyone

Decided to try this place having heard good reports about their lunches. I went there with a couple of friends and a child for an evening meal. The atmosphere was relaxed and staff were helpful asking if we wanted anything changed with the dish to suit our young diner. I went for the chicken supreme which was nice enough. The chorizo was chopped up very small so you would hardly notice you were eating it which was a bit disappointing. There was also some red onions in a vinegar reduction that was far too vinegary and I had to leave it on the plate. One of us got a butternut squash cous cous dish which had way too much cumin in it but was still nice too. Someone else had the mackerel which was delicious and I would recommend this dish if they have it on the menu still. The child in our group had the pork and apple sausage and mash which wasn't great. The sausage was nice but if I had made the mash at home myself I would have been disappointed with it. It was watery and had a little too much pepper in it. I don't think the chef was tasting any of the dishes that were going out. Anyway the menu in this place reads well and if the other dishes were seasoned properly it would have been a lot nicer. It's got a nice relaxed feel about the place but for the price I probably won't be rushing back but would like to see it improve a little.

I have eaten here twice in the last week! That'll give you an indication of my opinion of the place. I know thai food is hard to get wrong but these guys have definitely got it right. Small unassuming place with a laid back relaxed atmosphere (music supplied by Frank Sinatra and the like), friendly helpful staff, tasty food (I've had the Pad Penang and Mussamun curries and have tasted the Pad Thai and the Gang Dang. I'll definitely be back to try out the rest of the menu.

Lamb Cutlets with Garlic, Lemon and Paprika

Why not make up a large quantity of this marinade in advance – it is wonderful with cutlets and would also work well with leg steaks or loin chops. The longer you marinate the meat for, the better the flavour!
