Savour Restaurant @ Kilkenny Ormonde HotelPosted on 15 May 2012
We ate here as part of a weekend package at the hotel and it was ok. Food was good - nice varied menu. Wine selection was very poor - a group of 16 girls (on a hen weekend) and they didn't have any bottles of our first two choices of white wine! And only one rose choice! And then it took them wayyy too long to bring the wine to the table - we were half way through the starters before the wine arrived, despite ordering wine before food! And the watiers began clearing the plates while some members of the party were still eating. The whole thing felt rushed - and felt like they were looking rid of us. The food was good - but the service needs some work!

Ristorante Rinuccini RestaurantPosted on 15 May 2012
Full marks all round! We ate here as the first nite of a hen weekend in KK and it was divine! The menu was superb and the service excellent - even when one of the girls wanted a dish on the menu without the prawns - the waiter went off to request of the chef - who made her up the sauce without the prawns! Delicious food, enjoyed by all. Great selection of wine too! We'll definitely be back for more! Thank you!

Di Bella Restaurant (Lucan)Posted on 02 May 2012
Had the early bird menu here as it's convenient to where I live. Wasn't overly impressed with their starters - but the main meals more than made up for it. The pizza was lovely - and the pasta was great - I had the chicken arrabiata and it was just right with the chilli and the chicken! We got the dessert to go as we were in a hurry and devoured it on the return home. And the early bird is great value - very welcoming to kids too so we'll be back.

Arc Cafe BarPosted on 02 May 2012
We ate here with a MenuPages offer and were delighted with our meal. It was the first offer I'd purchased and I was concerned that we would be eating off a reduced menu - but not at all. The food was gorgeous - he had duck spring rolls and I had the fishcakes. Then I had a divine ceasar salad and he had the beef and guinesss pie. So stuffed but managed to fit in some dessert. Lovely touch to have the glass of prosecco included in the voucher! Great food in a great spot!

DarwinsPosted on 14 October 2010
I won a voucher for here as part of a Menupages competition so was looking forward to trying it. And we weren't disappointed! Food was absolutely super - highly recommend the buffalo mozzarella marinated in truffle oil to start - and the Eton Mess for dessert was to die for! The service was excellent - very prompt and available, but not in your face. We'll definitely go back - bit pricey so just for special occasions! And thanks menupages! :-)

Cafe NovoPosted on 02 March 2010
Visited here on a Fri nite with 2 pals and thought it was super! Was v quiet for a Fri but we enjoyed it. We shared 2 breads for starters (delish) and then I had the grilled chicken burger with the most amazing mango chutney! My pals had the burger which they found among the best in Dublin! Lovely seville orange ice cream as dessert, and topped off with some cool cocktails! Perfect for a Fri nite!

Pearl BrasseriePosted on 12 February 2010
Met up with 2 pals here for the early bird. Service was excellent. Food was really good, but what I don't like is that you need to have 'side orders' which aren't included in the early bird price of €22. We ordered two sides - which were delish - but we could have done with more. But apart from that, food is great!

SalamancaPosted on 05 February 2010
Met up with 5 female friends last nite before going on to event and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We all shared the early bird special - 3 'couple specials' - and it was a perfect mix for everyone! We ate lots, and still too much! Told we only had table for 2 hours - but that was more than enough with the great service. Definitely good venue for an informal gathering.

Cafe Java - Leeson StreetPosted on 09 December 2009
Love this place! It's a regular half way point to meet pal for lunch. And I love the chicken in yoghurt with brown bread - divine. Great service, great food, great coffee, great prices!

Marios (Terenure)Posted on 20 November 2009
Went here with a pal for the early bird and such great value and great food! My friend went for aubergine salad and I had the bruschetta which is superb! Best bruschetta this side of Italy! And I had the pasta arrabiatta which was perfect - with a good kick of chilli. We are already planning our return visit for this great value.

Millers Pizza KitchensPosted on 09 October 2009
Boyfriend and I brought Mum & Dad here as pizza fans & wanted to try s'thing different. Reading reviews, I was bit nervous. However, once the food arrived, it was fab! Went for early bird, but paid the extra 3.50 for the gourmet pizza. Starters of garlic bread, with cheese and other with pesto were so yummy. Then pizzas, satay chicken, chilli duck, crispy pancetta and roma all went down a treat! Combinations of flavours and seasoning was divine. Service was great - very attentive and recommend the malbec wine. Only downside is how loud it was when it filled up and the wayyyy too close proximity to table beside us. Otherwise, deffo will be back.

Tante ZoesPosted on 09 September 2009
We went on a Sat nite and had the early bird which I have to say was great value and great food. My bf went for the doogy gumba and I had the cheese roll to start. We both loved it. Then he had the steak and I had the chicken. The chicken was amazing and we both decided the next time (as we will be back) we'd both have chicken! To get a dessert too, as part of the early bird, on a Sat nite was a bonus. We really enjoyed it - and the service was great.

Chicken wings! What more can I say? Oh yeah, the onion rings, the nachos, the burgers! We love this place! Food good and service is good (bit slow this time, but forgiven when the food arrived). Only downer is how noisy it can get when downstairs is full!

Great food, great sevice, great place! 3 of us went for dinner - we got the special offer (3 courses for 2 plus bottle of wine for €60) and the food was great! Particularly loved the duck starter! The wine was super too! I'll definitely be back!

F.X.BUCKLEY. Steakhouse Crow Street (FXB's)Posted on 03 March 2009
Having tried FXB at Ryans the week before we went here with 4 pals for Sat nite dinner before hitting the pub. Great value early bird - we all had three courses and all returned empty plates! With steaks for 5 people - they were all cooked to perfection and mouthwatering in the extreme. Great choice of wine too and good value on the Feb offer. My only gripe is that the delish onion rings from FXB at Ryans weren't available - but we went for mushrooms side instead. Definitely recommend it - and the staff couldn't be more helpful!

Ryan's & FXBuckley Steakhouse Parkgate Street (FXB's)Posted on 03 March 2009
This was our Valentine dinner - we went on the Sun - to avoid the other Valentine couples! We were not disappointed - the food was fab! I thoroughtly enjoyed my bruschetta starter and himself loved the wings. But the piece de reistance was definitely the steaks! The best-est we've had in a long time! And cooked to perfection! Our only disappointment is that we'd ordered one mash and one chips to go with steaks - and not two mash as it was divine! As were the onion rings! If you like steak - gotta try FXBs!

HugosPosted on 03 March 2009
Despite having booked and sat at our table at 6.30 - we were not offered the Early Bird - or it wasn't mentioned. Service was good - the food was fine - my friend went for the truffle tortellini to start which were definitely better than my goats cheese salad. For mains the chicken stuffed with gorgonzola was divine - but was overshadowed by the fab risotto. My friend did not enjoy the scallops as she felt they were overcomplicated with the angel hair pasta. Overall, I think it was overpriced and over ostentatious - but the staff couldn't be nicer!

MalotiPosted on 29 January 2009
We had planned to go somewhere else, but no tables so we were walking past Maloti and thought it looked good. We weren't disappointed! Great food (except that the delicious Chicken Tikka Masala was a little cold), great service - and great value! Definitely try their house speciality starter ! Very tasty!

New Millennium Chinese RestaurantPosted on 12 December 2008
Went with a group from work - big table and the service was great. The food was fine - not the best Chinese in the ciy - but it was grand. It just always annoys me that you have to pay extra for rice - it's hardly like you're going to sit down and eat just sweet and sour chicken!!! Even if the price was slightly higher and included the rice would be better. The waiters were great - they even followed us over to Sinnotts afterwards to give us a scarf that we'd left behind!
