Indian Ocean DublinPosted on 10 September 2009
We recently moved to Camden street, and on a walk around our new area we found this little place. We love Indian food and thought we'd give it a go. We went there to get a take out last week, there was a promotion of 20% off on take-out orders, and it was already fairly cheap so we thought we were getting a real bargain. The staff were very friendly though seemed a bit under pressure as there was only 2 of them on. They forgot to give us the 20% discount, possibly just cos they were so busy. But when we got back home, we were very disappointed with the food. I had a vegetarian dish and it just seemed to be sauce with some lentil veg. There was no substance to it and no taste. And my boyfriend didn't eat hardly any of his lamb curry because it was so bad. It seemes to be that it was cheap because it was bad quality. I'm surprised to see all the good reviews there, but it's making me think of giving them a 2nd chance. Perhaps we just got them on a bad evening.

Gourmet Burger Kitchen - GBK (South William Street)Posted on 09 September 2009
I've eaten here 3 times, I ordered olives for a starter every time, and they were out of them every single time. They should really take them off the menu, or take the 2 minutes walk to the shops to get some. It was disappointing. I do think the food is good solid nosh, and that's why I keep going back. I'd recommend the veggie puy lentil burger, it's v tasty. The chips are great too and I love the big tomatos they give with the ketchup in them. They understand the importance of having enough ketchup with your burger and chips. My boyfriend doesn't agree and has sworn off the place, it won't stop me though!

Punjabi By NaturePosted on 09 September 2009
My meal in Punjab Balti was the nicest Indian meal I've ever had. I was pretty much a virgin to Indian food before coming here, but now I'm absolutely hooked. The service was A1, we really felt like we were having a treat. And we had a lovely bottle of wine to top it all off. A great dining experience, I can't recommend it highly enough.
