Had brunch here one Sunday recently. 2 adults and 2 children. perfect place for Brunch! nice menu, reasonably priced, Eggs benedict and coffee x2 and pancakes by two inc tip was just less than 30 euro. Good service. was very quite about 12.30 Sunday. Lovely room

delicious pizza here. Not a place to visit if you're in a rush. One other table when arrived today at 12.30, service was friendly but slow. sat at nice table outside, board with days lunch specials, not cheap for lunch. but very good food . would like if service was more effecient and lunch specials more keenly priced!

this was my 2nd time eating in this restaurant in last few weeks. Food is excellent here, huge enphasis on fresh, organic tasty ingredients. Had squid and Hanger steak( cooked rare). Some may think menu is limited , about 4-5 starters and mains, but each one of the dishes was fantastic, nice selections of wines by glass. dining room is lovely old room overlooking the river.quirky crockery and menu. we loved this restaurant. small french rest seats about 20-25 , good choice on menu, losts of salads, shellfish, soup, chowder on starter menu. Steak, Rabbit Veal, fish, vegeterian options for mains
food cooked perfectly with proper sauces. good wine list, will def be back here. Early bird menu 29 euro available all night for 3 fantastic courses.Good wine list, we'll be back here!

nice lunch here recently, i had nicoise salad ( dressing served on side and pieces of pizza bread)and partner had pizza, lovely as usual, bit expensive for Monday lunch, lovely table outside, place was buzzing! lots of table sseemed to have 2 for 1 vouchers for lunch which will get for next visit

ate here last week, 2 adults , 4 kids in group. very effecient waiting staff, High cvhair and coloring pencils arrived to our large table promptly, kids menue very good, nice salad with their starters, and little cup of mil with choc powder on top after desert, like mini coffee. adults food consistent as always

basic food menu available till 8pm most evenings. mostly "dinner" type dishes, eg cabbage and bacon, salmon veg, pot etc. Chefs are ballymaloe trained. tastly toasties available till 10pm each night, we had some nice toasted specials, lovely cheese! took a long time to make though! wouldn't want to be in a hurry! nice beer garden at back of this pub

had lunch with a group of 8 adults and 5 children on a bank holiday sunday recently,i've eaten here lots over the past few years- I love this hotel and restaurant , athmosphere is always good , and effecient friendly service in luxurious setting. Food was only ok this time, maybe the late lunch booking, 2.30pm was the reason, starters and desserts were good but mains let the side down served and tasting more like carvery food than restaurant dining . lunch was good value however and the dissapointing main courses didn't ruin the occasion

have eaten here a number of times in past few months, once with a large party so have tried nearly all items on the menu. Food and presentation are fantastic, this restaurant should be in the fine dining section. lots of nice extras from chef, amus bouche, pre dessert etc. Chef came to tables after service which was nice touch. Ala carte menu has good variety, fillet steak and venison are top recommendations, good wine list.
only critisim is menu doesn't seem to change tooo often. I was here 3 times withing 4 months and same menu each time( although always excellent , lacked surprise)

went here with my partner on a fri night, place was packed, wouldn't have got a table if we hadn't had reservations- lots of groups of women!
very effecient service, good value wine list and well priced chinese beers, ate from a la carte. food exceeded expectations, will go back , very good value early bird menu available till 7pm most days
