Brought two friends here yesterday, thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish.
Lots of familiar friendly faces on the staff, a lot of the best staff from the best restaurants around.
I had the crispy hens egg after hearing lots and lots about it, man, what a triumph. Pork was proper delish.........
I'll be back, actually im thinking of going back today ;-)

5 stars across the board, new tapas is really lovely, tapilia is great!!
Try and fight someone for a table outside ( i've even been tempted to get an old lady in a head lock and throw her off :-P ) on a nice day.
The new Desserts are particularly good.

The Chart House, is a destination Restaurant.
Have dined here dozens of times over the year, We have never felt anything but totally relaxed and always left full after having some really really good food.
The food is imaginative, local and not messed around with, i have never thought the chart house to be expensive.
Actually, i would love one of their meals right now.

Had a very pleasant lunch in this very warm happy room.
Even though i dined alone i felt at ease and welcome, they genuinely have one of the best front of house and all the little quirky touches are brilliant.
The food was very good, i had the shrimp salad and the cottage pie, the shrimps were extremely tasty and cooked to the second meaning they were moist and tender, the butter beans, shakura and tomato were all fresh and worked well, an extra touch of vinegar/lemon would have really made this 10/10.
Cottage PIe was ace.
The rice pudding was, in my opinion, perfect.
Just warm, didnt cloy my palate and was offset by the sorbet.
This place is very good and i shall be back fo sure.

Had a delish sunday lunch with my wife and daughter. 3 courses 28 bucks, for really really great food.
had the boudin for starter, so tender and moist, kick of horseradish in the celeriac remoulade completed the dish perfectly.
Beef Cheek for main course, slow braised, jelly like and sticky, just how it should be. proper yummy.
service is excellent. faultless and very friendly.

I know my food and restaurants, and i know i like this place. always packed on sunday lunch, for very good reason. friendly service, great grub and a bit of love and pride.
i really wish they would add a couple of dishes on brunch menu that could be used as a starter, im a starter main course kinda guy, even a soup or salad, everything is geared for main courses only. the food is cooked with care and is tasty.
cheese board is good, as is the coffee.
yup, all positive apart the starter situation, which, if your reading this mr boss man, will earn more revenue for you.

walked into a really friendly nice place today, our first time. had ribs and wings to start and burgers for mains, they made a special little tasty ommelette for my daughter, service was extremelt friendly and place is clean, food is tasty and ribs are very good, wings i thought, were not what i expected but im a crispy skin wings kinda guy. ill go back for sure and ill have the stilton burger again.

this was a terrible experience all around, sour service staff whom obviously hate their job. chef's with absolutely no understanding of food, flavours or methods absolutely passionless.
i went there because of the 5 * reviews on here, well, the couple of 1 * reviews are spot on.
we ordered the pie with salad and fish cakes, we asked for a portion of chips to share, i got a microwaved tepid pie with some dry leaves and coleslaw, my wives's fishcakes were warm-ish and very very spicy and obviously not fresh, the texture and flavour was soooo bad. i enquired about the chips we had ordered and was told bluntly and rudely, ' we don't do chips' by the same manager who took the order for chips in the first place.
we tasted the fishcakes and explained that we were not expecting such a weird concoction of spices and the fish was not fresh, she grunted back that the fish was ' fresh today' and made off with the food with no apology, we had a couple of ok coffee's and left.
the food and service are a disgrace, i would be ashamed.
i will never ever enter the place again, beware the 5 * reviews

the prawns and crab claw starters are ace. like the lunch options and my wife testifies to the best cosmo in dublin.
staff are proper pro's, owners lovely.
never heard one bad word about this restaurant even in a nation of begrudgers ;p

Loved it, loved it, loved it.
Went there today, loved it from walking in, staff so friendly, really good with our baby.
Casual unpretentious food and service with a lot of heart.
Thought was a bit pricey till I got the food, nice portions of well done food.
Had the steak, but will stick with fish next time,
the crab claws were class.

We came here early one Sat night. Place empty apart from two other couples, sat upright and not speaking. There was no music playing and the three tables were so close together, all of us afraid to speak for fear of being overheard. All we could hear was the messing from the staff, lots of laughing, joking and swearing. None of them could tear themselves away from the fun to serve us; two other tables came in, sat down and walked out!!! I asked the waitress 3 times if they could turn on the music as the joking from the bar was driving us mad. When food did arrive, it was not too bad to be honest. I did find a hair in my calamari, for which I received no apology but could hear clear as day the manager having words with the chef about it. We were asked about 7/8 mins later did we want another, still no apology. Main courses came and we asked for the bill, as we were leaving they turned the music on.
Food is ok, but expensive, quite possibly the worst service I have ever seen in my life. The waitress even replied to a text message whilst serving another table, oh and chewing gum all the time.
Sorry guys, I don’t normally complain, but..............

Had lunch here and was fantastic, children were so welcome.
The dude on the door packed away our push chair and when we asked for the bill he had it unpacked and ready to rock by the time we got to the door. These small touches elevated this experience.
The food was great, we were greedy and had 3 starters, haddock pie was ace and so was the goats cheese tart.
Fish n chipos for main and a perfectly cooked duck leg, so moist inside and so much crispy skin on outside. Yummy.
Service was full of smiles and very good.

Liked it here, great friendly service. Place was quiet on a Friday night which is surprising. The calamari and prawns was honestly the best I've had in Dublin, a better chilli sauce and would be perfect.
Cheap too and very very good coffee.

Went here last night to support local trade, was turned away so rudely due to the fact we had a baby with us, its disgusting that someone can be so rude to guests. You would think he had two Michelin stars under his belt that he could afford to turn away trade. I went across the road to another restaurant (our first time in there) and had the most delightful evening. Hemmingway’s is a poor, pretentious place that needs to get with the child friendly times and learn that bad service will destroy a restaurant, very quickly. Avoid and cross the road, with your kids and a smile ready.

Came here after leaving somewhere else due to the owner being disgustingly rude to us about having a baby with us, what a contrast. The Italian charmer led us in made us feel like stars, fussed over the baby and produced some really good food, in fact the best veal chop I have ever tasted, ever. Service was excellent and the place mobbed with locals who were all friendly and chatty from table to table. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. A tad expensive but nothing to complain about. The tiramisu is spot on. 5 stars not cos of the best food but surely the best welcome.

A really great all rounder, bread is delicious. Staff are great. Go every week and you'll see the same faces, all happily drunk and full, also I've never seen trouble in here, everyone is to desperate to be fed, also a fear of not being let in next time. Service is superb, excellent. The food was nowhere near as good as the surroundings suggest. Huge gigantic portions of mediocre food. Steak was chewy and un seasoned and at nearly 3 times the prices of other places I know ridiculously overpriced (cant remember the exact price - maybe I blocked it out). The creamed corn is outstanding though. Will never be back even if someone else is paying the bill.

My wife loves this place, I enjoy it there. A good average all rounder, staff always very nice. Food is cafe standard, but hey, they don’t claim to be or charge for anything else. We’ve brought loads of paintings on the wall which all goes to the local artists. We always go back normally heaving with bags, its impossible to go to Malahide and not buy something, it seems like a holiday.

All in all an excellent meal and dining experience, the chef has a steady confident hand, knows when to stop which is one of the best things a chef can do. I can remember every component of every dish I had on both times here, and knew why they were there. I must go back for early bird, the sign says €35, wow.

A great great bar, service quick (at the bar) they will take drinks orders at the table (if you smile) bar man remembers your drinks and pints are great, really great. Food side of things often lets it down a lot, wings are meant to be ace but I find them awful too much paprika and once I ordered at the bar and they were on table before I sat down, 90 seconds. Freshly cooked to order I don’t think so, in fairness maybe they had spare portion from a mistake, I always drink here and grab food across the road.

Prices gone up a little and this place is in need of a menu overhaul. Almost identical to a year ago. Food is a little heavy especially for lunch but always good nonetheless. Staff always friendly enough, a mediocre review with nothing outstanding to say, l'Guelton is a bit boring these days.
