BotticelliPosted on 12 June 2013
It has been a long time since I was last here but we just decided to drop in for a quick bite to eat before the cineam one friday. The place was quiet enough for a friday of the bank holiday weekend so we had our choice of seats which I liked as it can be quite crowded in here. We shared a starter of the mozzarella sticks they were ok a bit small and greasy. We then shared a pizza which was lovely loads of toppings and bursting with flavor. We also got a bottle of the pinot grigo which was very nice a really good choice with the food. We were waiting no time on our food and were not rushed to leave. I will definately be back here soon

Rory's BistroPosted on 12 June 2013
I love this place we have been here loads of times. The menu is quite different for the average menu which I love. There was 6 of us and some opted for the the early bird menu which is 2 courses for €16.95 (great value) we all decided to skip starters and went straight for the mains I had the hake which was very good the taste was lovely. The rest of the group had a mixture from the steak on the stone which was a great novelty to the pork belly which was very good the crackling was really good. The highlight of Rory's for me is the dessert's and seeing as I am not usually a dessert person that mean's they are really good. I can especailly recommend the creme brulee and the eton mess! The only downfall was that we seemed to wait ages for the food I know there was 6 of us but we seemed to be left for quite awhile and seen people that came in after us get served this is not the 1st time this has happened when I have been here but as I say the food is worth the wait.

Anvil Bistro RestaurantPosted on 02 May 2012
Four of us meet here for lunch on good friday it was only open until 5 so it was very busy as most places around was closed. We were seated at a nice quiet table by the window which was great as there was a party down the end which were very noisy. I had the goats cheese tart which was really good so fresh and you could taste it was home cooked one of the best I have had. The rest had the carbonara which came out in a huge bowl very generous portion the other two had chicken wraps they were so good and came with chips and salad. The only downfall was we were waiting ages to get our bill and then even longer for our change I think they were too busy trying to close up.

The Blazin Grill Steakhouse and SeafoodPosted on 02 May 2012
We ate here on a sunday evening it was busy enough and they sat us in the corner the table was fine except the lightening down our end was very bad you had to strain to see the menu. It was 7.30 but they still had a special all nite menu on which had alot of choice on it. We just ordered one course I had the prawn sizzling stirfry which our waitress recommended it was really good and came on a huge sizzling hotplate the taste's were so good. The rest of the group had the chicken wrapped in bacon which was also lovely especailly the mash. The 3rd dish was the burger this was very good as well with chips and a lovely side salad. Other than the lightening it was very nice we will go back next time I will try the cocktails they were cheap enough.

Kundan TandooriPosted on 02 May 2012
We ate here with yet another menupages deal. The place was empty which is how I always find this restaurant but still the food has not changed its delicious. We had a prawn and chicken starter both were very good and just a nice portion. Then I had the lamb rogan josh and my partner had the lamb jalfrezi both were very good the rogan josh was probably a bit tastier the lamb was so good in both. The waiter just leaves you too it he wasn't hovering around but was there when we needed him so that was great. They have added alot to there menu which was needed I will definatly be going back.

Mexico to RomePosted on 02 May 2012
We went here with a menupages deal and it really was excellent value. We had 3 courses for starters we had the tequila and lime skewers the flavour of these were gorgeous and my partner had meatballs which were a huge portion. I had the salmon for mains it was cooked lovely and was the perfect size portion my partner had the burritos which again were very good and a big portion. The deserts were lovely just a nice size after a big meal. The menupages deal was great value the service was brilliant, I hadn't been here in a few years and I have to say it has improved greatly I will be going back. My only complaint is the front is so small that anytime someone comes in the place gets freezing with the door left open and it was a horrible nite when we were in here so if I was going again I would ask for a table in the back.

Buenos Aires GrillPosted on 28 November 2011
We went here with the menu pages deal we bought and we loved it. The voucher was for a three course meal for €39.95 we could choose any starter/main/dessert having looked at the menu this was well worth it. When we arrived at 7pm it was quiet enough there was only 3 other tables in use. We bought had the empanada's they were very filling but very nice. I then had the fish of the day I had never heard of it but was told it was a white fish it was with a chorizo potato it was gorgeous it was a bit dry but the minute I asked for more sauce it was brought straight away, my partner had the fillet steak which was cooked perfectly. Then for dessert I had the creme brulee it was just nice after the big meal my partner had the deep fried bree the platter was huge with grapes and crackers it was very tasty. By the time we finished our meal the place was packed there was not a free table which for a thursday nite was great and did not effect the service levels at all the staff were excellent. Our bill came to €102 but with the voucher we only had to pay €26 which was for the bottle of wine so I thought this was great, I will definately be going back!!

La CavernaPosted on 05 April 2011
We have eaten here a few times and find it one of the best early bird in Temple bar. The reason we went here last week as it was the only place still doing an early bird at 8 o'clock in fact they were running the menu all evening. I had prawns to start lovely and loads of them, my partner had the chicken wings there was gorgeous the marinade wasn't too spicy and there was loads of chicken on them. I had the lasagne as a mains very nice and very filling. my partner had burger which he said was really good the bun was chiabatta bread which made it. For €17 each we were well feed. The atmosphere was ok busy enough and the service was very quick but not too quick that one course was on top of another

PacinosPosted on 05 April 2011
We ate here as we had a deal voucher but I have to say I will definatly go back. As it was a wednesday nite we were surprised how busy it was but it didn't effect the service at all. I had the prawns to start while my partner had the meatballs both lovely dishes especially the meatballs. I then had the pacino chicken this was fab best chicken dish I had in a long time cooked perfectly and the way it came was so good my partner was very jealous. My partner had the a pizza which he really enjoyed. We shared a dessert as we were so full after all the food. The bill was just over €70 this included a bottle of wine which we both thought was very good as we only had to put 30 to our voucher, we will dfinately be going back I can see why it was so busy
