I heard this was a great pub for food so we decided to try it. However I found it over-priced and the food was very disappointing. The fish was not fresh at all and was even a little rubbery. When the bill came it was almost €50 even though all we had was two mains, two soft drinks and soup for my toddler. I'm not sure if there's an early bird but we weren't offered it if there was. I should add that the staff are very friendly and the service is quick, also the atmosphere is lovely

Myself and my boyfriend visted this restaurant last night. We didn't have a great experience. We waited almost an hour on our starters, and were just about to leave when they arrived. We could hear what I assume was the manager shouting at everyone in the kitchen, which didn't add to the atmosphere. The ladies toilets were out of order which meant everyone had to use the gents. This would have been okay but as the cubicle had a urinal right outside it, if a man had come in while I was in there I would have walked out right on top of him. The toilet had no soap or paper towels either. The food was very good, in fairness. When we arrived they brought us a basket of fresh bread and butter and put water on the table, which was great as I find you often have to ask several times in restaurants for tap water. The bill was reasonable for what we had though we didn't stay for dessert or coffee as we'd been there almost 2 hours at this stage. When we went to pay we were told that the 'satelites were down' so they couldn't accept cards. Overall the place could do with a facelift, it feels quite shabby. I was very glad I didn't have my 2 year old daughter with us, she would have been going crazy with all that waiting!
