We dined here in a small group, wasn't overly excited by the experience.Food was very bland, nicely presented and fairly expensive.Bread was too milky.Service was generally ok but they can only put in front of customers what they get. Very average dining experience.

I was really disappointed with the whole night. Food was very mediocre, Wine list is good though with some nice wines at good prices. Food was just tasteless,I founded wings very boring, would have liked some kind of blue cheese dip on side or something else. Main course was bland too. Shame not much options in Trim but we enjoyed the vino thoroughly and service was polite too.

Copper & Spices Restaurant & Wine BarPosted on 26 August 2011
Positives: We love the Chef Tasters here, My Favourite is Balti & Samosas, but i love it all though. Shame i cant have it all in a go. Host with Most...she s lovely & i like when chef sometimes gives a surprise visit to table with few extras. Never disappointed our friends either. Place is cozy & warm.
Negatives: Shame C&S is not in Dublin & Whenever i dine here i am full in stomach but greed s not. One of my favourite restaurants in Ireland. Fantastic presentation is Icing on the cake. Keep up the good work guys, I will spread the word.
Today we had a Cinnamony Taster which was Yum, Had a keema kebab which was yum yum & in mains i had Roganjosh, Loved the aftertaste & usual huge naan breads. Thank you C&S

We were dying to try this restaurant after reading so many great reviews and a great selection of Veg Dishes as well. We were greeted and seated politely by the server. We would love to share our dining experience but our evening never got going, as our table was left unattended for 8-10 minutes. We have to leave the restaurant as nobody attended the table, shame can't speak about food. Thank You but No-Thank You

Found staff very polite all around and attentive, u would need that in such a high profile restaurant. Can't wait to go back again soon....Thank you very much folks....It was a lovely experience.

Tulsi RestaurantPosted on 20 January 2011
One of my worst eating out experiences. Food pathetic and service hopeless which means they do not understand when customer ask for something. Shared a platter, oily soggy and tasteless stuff. Mains were so liquidy as the chef had added a lot of water by mistake and tomatoey. Sorry folks it was my first time and there was no point in complaining as your waiter just kept saying yes to everything so i was confused but i am not now as i have a lot of different options to eat out in galway. Total waste of Money and time

Love this place to bits and the surprising fact is the 2 best thai restaurants in ireland are beside each other. This place is modern, food is genuinely tasty and service is very attentive and effecient. Prawn crackers are a bit different but love them. Have enjoyed Green curry on several occassions. Had a wonderful weekend in Galway. Went in for Tapas thinking it will be just one of those Irish Tapas..But we were overwhelmed by the Food. After living in Barca for a while its very hard to get good Tapas. But Food here was full of variety and great portions. I do not think i have ever eaten in any other better Tapas in Ireland. Fantastic evening we had...Full marks to Cava for a Beautiful Restaurant

AnandaPosted on 20 October 2009
After checking last months Food &Wine magazine, have been dying to try this place. Lovely walkway up to the restaurant. We must have come though wrong entrance as there was no body to greet and we kept going, then a waiter spotted us and seated us.
I had a beer to start which was chilled. I have to say waiteress who was attending our table had no clue about food and service…and there was no smile. Décor was good giving a nice ambience all around. I ordered potato cakes to start which were fine, could have been better with more crispiness on both sides. For mains I had veg thali….Lentils were lovely and we ordered another side of the same, palak paneer in thali was tasteless, potatoes were meant to be zeera aloo but they were tampered with coriander seeds rather. Naan breads were nice and soft, bit doughy at the edges. As usual service was nothing to excite about. We topped our wines and then the waiter spotted it and came to do the same,I appreciated the gesture but overall attentiveness was lacking which is injustice to the lovely place. Waiting staff was too formal which is not usually expected from them here, I would have liked it if they were more attentive and casual in their approach. My partner had duck tasting, I thought duck confit was coming but we founded duck terrine instead. We appreciated complementary aperitif served…very nice. Last thing…its gr8 to have glass kitchens but I would not like to see half kitchen with chef hats and half without it, may be I was noticing too much…Dal tadka very nice…wine list over priced….Very formal and unattentive service…..Still chef manages to get the Chef of the year….Fair play to him….Would be back on a weekend soon to give it another go

Chandni RestaurantPosted on 13 October 2009
I have to say indian cuisine is the most difficult to cook and thats why there are only a few good indian restaurants only in ireland.Chandni is one of them, beautiful food with intact flavors. We visited this place very recently and they exceeded expectations. Its not about decor all the time..as a diner i go for food and if food is not good then its a disaster. Starters were very fresh and tender, i had prawns and my friend had chicken tikka which was juicy not overdone as others do. In mains i had one of the best veg biryanis' full of flavors...last time i had biryani somewhere else it was missing vegetables and raita was very tasty...will def recommend this place if u r dining in this area

Cinnamon GardenPosted on 13 October 2009
it was our second time in this restaurant. we were greeted by mango lassi taster which was a bit sour...may be its meant to be but if i m not wrong mango lassi is sweet. we have to wait gud 35 minutes for starters which can be understood as the restaurant is new and tryin to settle but there was no communication from service staff...chicken tikka starter was dry as rubber...i think may be it was not basted enough while roasting...Tikka masala was my mains and just tasted like tomato puree with no herbs whatsoever...standards have gone down in less than 2 weeks which was very annoying as we cud have made our evening somewhere else. From service point of view the girl on the floor have to check everything three times as she did not have enough english...i have to leave the place hungry and unhappily.........too slack as an effort from this place

recently had a meal here, restaurant is very badly decorated..there is a bit of everything which is into ur eyes...carpet was terrible..somefoot balls printed on it or so, well we ordered food...papadums arrived in a basket which was not even dressed...the dips we got were few of them..there was some yogurty thing but i noticed as some yellow thing was floating around it,didn't touch it, starters were dressed with ketchup..whats indian about it????i am confused...Mains were so tasteless i am sure it could be done a bit better..sorry loads better....wine was disappointing as i ordered a chardonnay which was so sweet..i do know ,my wines....Well i do think GALWAY can do with a real proper Indian restaurant...Hopefully somebody will take this opportunity.....

I love indian food. I have bn dying to go nd try this plac as i have tried their ongar branch which has lived upto expectations. This place needs energy i suppose...to start i had vege platter...which was a pc of brocolli, cottage cheese and cauliflower topped up with cheese...IS THIS INDIAN CUISINE....I DO NOT THINK SO???or may be 2 much imagination chefs r trying....In mains had chickpeas which were just fine..would have loved them spicier but have 2 request chillies on side..my partner had madras..i liked the sauce..but the chicken was brown and old and tough....PLEASE DO NOT ASK ABOUT SERVICE...no body comes back and check hows the evening going in dublin////may be thats normal...but i think its lack of interest...annoys me...Jaipur is such a big name but it failed this time for me all together...I do not think i will ever be back again..i have checked some old reviews about this place....something seriously wrong..and last thing staff having their own language chit chats around customers really annoying....Hopefully somebody will polish this place soon......

First time here but have heard from a lot of people about the place....as we walked in there were loads of scented candles lit..felt very welcoming..were greeted very politely by the staff and shown to the table...Chairs were a bit uncomfy to sit but never mind...got the poppadums and dips..was not really impressed..papad were a bit soggy..and dips were not great...People say "Sometimes we should not get over imaginative"...Wine list was not bad but i am sure they can include few more good wines at good price region so that more people order wines and repeats...In starters i had Vegetable samosa...it just tasted like the one i had in delhi...pastry was lovely and mixture inside was nice and spicy..for mains i had few veg sides ..dal tadka..very nice...Potato dish which was lovely cant remember name..they were dry and tempered with mustard seeds..channa masala...cud have been better..roomali roti...i was excited to order but it did not came out nicely...naan was alrite small.though...we ordered Gobhi keema after but that was very disappointing..smoky as it was made in burnt pan...Service staff was well polished which was very nice......overall a good experience worth driving down for a meal....cheers

had lunch here...menu looked good..and price for lunch sounded reasonable...i had vegetable parcels for starters...they were tasty and sweet chilli dip was good...But i was not sure wether they were home made as they appeared like frozen from shop...in mains i had Wok..Vegetarian...was disappointing...there was not much flavours in it....sounded very bland...i requested it to be spicy but it was not spicy at all....I had draught of Hieneken which was lukewarm...and i have 2 put some ice in it to make it drinkable...Service was poor..as nobody was interested in checking wether i enjoyed the meal or not...There was no smile with service....I find it hard to believe People in Restaurant industry not up to the job as there are so many restaurants and cafe around and its very easy to loose bsiness..But for me it was disappointing Average Visit ....don't think i would be interested to go again any soon......

Aqua RestaurantPosted on 22 May 2009
I was on a business outing today and met up with my partner and went for lunch...a lot of restaurants in Howth..but we decided Aqua....I have 2 say the View is to die for ....we got the best seat..Menu was great as it had a wide choice of seafood and continental options...nd the wine list was extensive...we ordered a wine and the server actually nade some good nodes about the wine and suggested food to go with it without asking..which was good sales man ship...wine was served very professionaly..and food was likeable..Nothing was 2 overpowering and Best Creme Brulee....the whole experience was lovely...Nnow i have 2 say when u pay a good price u do get good value in Aqua for definite as staff looked very professional and knew what they were doing...In my few past Continental food experiences i was starting to hate it..but for sure Aqua has woken up my Taste buds again for seafood.....Definitely it will be a visit once a month....Keep up the good work folks....Cheers

Gaylord TandooriPosted on 27 January 2009
after reading few good reviews about the place we decided to go there,as we have just moved from galway and we were utterrly disappointed. The room was so cold and there was no atmosphere, the dining hall was so long and bare....aneways we were hoping the food 2b good but yet again it was disappointing...when we were ordering we asked the waiter , What is Parantha?..Waiter replied its a bread...we knew it's a kind of bread but we were eager 2 know what kind of parantha it is...aneways food arrived and there were some little candles underneath the food containers...and it was amusing as the dishes were cold but yet there were candles to heat or keep the food warm...i believe if the food is fresh and served hot it doesn't need a t-light candle to keep it warm...i eat steaks and chicken but they don't come with a candle underneath.....Chicken chaat was sweet like sugar...i have travelled indian and in india chaat is sweet sour nd spicy...chicken jalfarezi..was so creamy..couldn't eat it...and chicken was a bit overcooked...we ordered a garlic and coriander naan...and i have 2 say there was hardly any garlic nd corriander on it...we know its recession but this was a disaster for us and we will never go back to this place again as it was not a Indian Restaurant.....I hope we can find a good indian soon or we will crack up..we love indian food so much....Thumbs down for This Gay Lord Tandoori....
