Aniar RestaurantPosted on 30 April 2012
I went to this restaurant with a friend. Our booking was for 7.30. We were seated promptly. We ordered a nice bottle of wine and were informed they did have it but it was not cold so we were offered an alternative. The waiter broke the cork opening the bottle and had to get another and overall this was not the best start.
Our starter was served promptly but then we waited nearly an hour for the main course.
The food was done well and the presentation was nice. We did not feel rushed but the meal but there was just too much time between the courses. The service was very slow and the serving staff seemed slightly disorganised. In the end I think we were there nearly 2.5 hours.

SabaPosted on 16 December 2009
I went to Saba with 2 of the girls from work for a girlie night out. The buzz in the restaurant was really good for a Tuesday night. The food was excellent - I would highly recommend it. The wine was also good and I think overall everything was good value for money. We ate off the set menu which had a very good selection to choose from. The only downside was the waitstaff asking repeatedly to take our plates when we were far from finished. We felt a bit rushed and the staff came across as a bit rude which kind of took the buzz off of a lovely evening. I would go back and give Saba a second try though.

The Hungry MonkPosted on 02 December 2009
I went to the Hungry Monk with a friend for dinner and we ate upstairs. I've been here several times and have always had a good experience. The wine list is good and I've never been disappointed. The food however is a bit of a different story. I had a duck starter that was very good followed by the cod that was on the specials list. It was good but just OK for the cost. We did not have dessert but I had coffee afterwards that was good.

Dunne And Crescenzi (South Frederick Street)Posted on 24 November 2009
This was my second time to Dunne and Crescenzi. I kind of wish I'd checked out Menupages first! The first time I only had some starters and wine with some friends, but this time I had an actual meal. I had the Bresaola to start which was nice but perhaps a bit much and then I had the sausage with fagioli beans. It thought the beans were very nice but the sausage was tough and not terribly tasty. The wine here is always good but I think on the food side perhaps less choice with better quality would be ideal.

Acapulco RestaurantPosted on 24 November 2009
My partner and I went to Acapulco for an early dinner before the Fleetwood Mac concert. The margaritas are quite nice - boy do they have some kick!. The food was quite good and good value for money but not outstanding. My partner had chicken fajitas and I had a chicken burrito. The fried ice cream, however is amazing!

DylanPosted on 24 November 2009
I visited the Dylan with my partner on the Menupages dinner night out. The initial impression was good, but I have to say I found the food to be rather disappointing. I had a goats cheese starter that was just OK, followed by the fish with was Bream. It was very fishy and not nice at all. I don't think we will be back.

Vinos Restaurant & CafePosted on 24 November 2009
I've been to Vino Pasta several times now and it never disappoints. The service is great and on this last visit even though it was busy they managed to find a table for us. I had wings for a starter and they were excellent. I had a pasta dish with pesto and shrimp that was also very nice, although it is a bit rich. The staff recommended a lovely bottle of wine. The atmosphere is nice - softly lit with a candle on the table. It's one of my favourite restaurants in Greystones. Will be back soon!!

Tribes RestaurantPosted on 16 March 2009
This was my first time at Tribes. I dined with 2 of my business colleagues. All of us were impressed with all of the food. I had a thinly sliced roast beef dish for the starter with Rocket, fresh parmesan etc and it was outstanding! We all had the Pork Belly for the main course and I can honestly say it was mouth-wateringly good. I've never had better. For dessert the colleagues had the rhubarb crumble and I had the creme brulee. Both were outstanding. Presentation of all courses was excellent. The staff were also very attentive. Highly recommended - especially for a special meal out.
