I went to TGI Fridays for the first time ever in Dundrum. I was really excited. The mega expensive prices intriqued me, food that expensive must be tasty I thought.
We were made wait 15 minutes in the bar despite the restaurant being 1/3 empty, obviously wanting us to buy drinks. We eventually got to our table (Sticky and dirty). We waited half an hour to get served. After 20 mins our starter arrived (Boneless buffalo bites). It was disgusting... After 45 mins our main course arrived. The food was cold. The chips were soggy and of poor quality. The pasta my girlfriend ordered was stodgy and the chicken was floating in grease. We choked down what we could and eventually managed to flag down a waiter to get the bill.
It was a lesson sorely learned; 52 euro for 2 and a half poorly cooked, cold and ill-tasting course. I was shocked by the dire food quality, the lacklustre service and the appalling value for money that left me feeling like I've been conned.
