Jamie's ItalianPosted on 14 April 2013
Really was looking forward to Jamie even with the bad reviews,. When we got there,we were seated straight away, and it was packed. The seats were so close together.upon reading the menu,my 14 year old daughter so was disappointed as they had no chicken in the pasta, asked could they add it instead of other meat, they said no sorry. I'm a vegetarian and they only had 2 options,I went for the spicy tomato one, have to say bar being a bit spicy,it was bland,my daughter had a tomato pasta dish also with scotch chillies or something, again she didn't like hers, left more than half of it there, she said my pasta is a million times nicer,, the hubby got a bacon and pork pasta, bolognise type sauce,he taught his was lovely.. The starters was the best part, mushroom fritters,it was lovely,,and 4 cheese ravioli I think it was called with chilli dip,,it was fine,. Desserts were 2 chocolate and raspberry cakes, lovely . Mine was cheesecake with a tangy flavor,,it was disgusting.. I think they should have chicken on the pasta dishes, overall I wouldn't recommened Jamie's to anyone. I didn't think I'd even be writing a bad review about his place as the one in London is so different, but the one In dundrum is awful and so overpriced. Pasta dishes are very small and cost €13.00 ,desserts cost €6.50,,

RelishPosted on 08 June 2010
Had to wait an hour as was full house when we arrived. Wasn’t a prob. When we were seated we had chicken Cajun burger with chips, my hubby had some kind of wrap with chicken in it and skinny chips. Our daughter had chicken goujons no chips. I thought for €8.95 hers was a bit mean as there were no chips. For dessert I had rhubarb crumble, the hubby had berry tart yum for his. Our daughter had chocolate cake. Quite spongy, not the best choc cake I’ve tasted, to much sponge. Staff were very pleasant but we had this one couple that never stopped looking at us which I thought was very rude, but the tables are very close together, still v annoying though. Cost us about €55 nice enough as a once off.

Our daughter had sweet and sour chicken the sauce was like thick tar than juicy. She didn’t like it. For dessert I had Baileys cheecake, nice he had ice cream and ouir daughter had profiteroles or something. Overall it was v good value at €49.50. We were happy and staff seemed nice but there was only 4 other ppl there.

Gordon Ramsay @ PowerscourtPosted on 11 May 2010
omg, this is a must..the food does not come in huge portions but u get loads of treats in between..for starters we had a rissotto..then day gave us some salmon in btween..for dinner im sure i had pork with an egg on the side..to be honest i dont think we really knew what we were ordering apart from the desserts..my partner had what i think was lamb..our daughter had chicken with roasted veg and mash potatoes..she adored it..and her meal only cost around €13.00..for dessert i had 3different types of apple cakes..out of this world and unexpected..my hubby had chocolate fondant,,it was to die for..out daughter had a chocolate mousse..this place will be getting a visit from us again.€150.00 for the 3of us..1bad thing is the waiter is constantly watchin ur glass and fillin ur water of wine..we were not into this as we felt he was watchin us the whole time..we could pour out our own water 2nd time around..we didnt like the way they pull ur chair out for u,but over all, well done gordon

We had to wait nearly 30 mins b4 somebody took our order,bummer..my hubby had prawn ceasar salad with little bits of fish going through it..the salad was lovely and crispy...i had curry and coriander soup with bread..the soup was nice but it so tasted like a curry that needed chicken..for mains i had fish and chips..the fish was cut into finger pieces, ive had better and i hate huge chips with skin as they taste like wedges..my hubby had sirloin steak..have to say it was the tastiest sirloin ive ever tasted and v soft..normally he would have a fillet as its the best but the steak was pricey so we knew it shud b good, and it was the best..for dessert he had an apple and blackberry pudding,v nice..i had exoctic meringue,v suggary, and sweet..id recommened this place

Went hear to see what all the hype was about.we have our favourite thai restaurant somewhere else and needed to see if this was better..staff were very nice.for starters we had chicken and pork dumpling, they were nice,i had white fish tempura, very greasy and far to many for a starters,a whole plate of them.they are just fish in batter, and we had chicken skewers.they were nice..for mains we had green chicken curry, red prawn curry, and chicken and veg,all nice,.not alot of rice though.we all had chocolate pudding for dessert.it was grand.my opinion overall is people have not tasted my fav pl as if they did they wouldnt rate this place as highly as they do..i wouldnt go back because my fav restaurant to eat beats this place hands down..but if i had not tasted better this would be our 2nd fav place for thai food

China SichuanPosted on 10 March 2010
fro starters we had won tons and shredded chicken, the shredded chicken was the nicest id ever tasted.it was delicious..the wontons were ok.for main course we wanted chciken instead of lamb curry..omg what a joke..because we asked to have chicken instead of lamb our bill came to €73.00..we' expected it to be no more than €40.00 as we got a dessert.he had chocolate fondant,it was very hot and once u dipped into it,it went flat and was not worth €8.00.i had raspberry and mango mouse.it was divine.not worth €8.50 though.they charged us i think around €19.00 each for a curry and i think and extra €3.00 each for a very small bowl of rice..i taught as we were only changin lamb to chicken,we should have been charged lunch time menu.ripped of big time.the staff are proffessional and the place is lvly inside but wouldnt b bck at those prices at lunch time

Jack Whites InnPosted on 10 March 2010
had braekie here,i had scrambled egg wit toast..scrambled egg was very milky.u could tell it wasnt cooked for long enough.the other half had a full irish breakie.omg.the whole breakfeast was heated in a micorwave, they didnt tell him the plate was hot,he touched it and ended up with a blistered finger.the plate was pipping hot.his egg was hard, when u get a fresh breakie, everybody likes a soft egg in teh middle..his sausages where hard, the mushrooms were greasy,.they should make fresh breakie's to order, not heat them in the micro.and for them reasons we would never go back.the place inside was beautiful,so its a shame.
