I visited Mullaghmore with a group of 6 friends for the bank holiday weekend - it was the first time in Sligo for most of us. We ate in The Quay Bar several times over the weekend and loved the food so much we kept coming back for me! Gorgeous view of the sea and beach! We had a full Irish breakfast Saturday morning - helpings were generous and the food was yum. It came with chips on the side instead of tea and toast which is what I'm used too - We ordered the fry again Sunday morning and this time ordered tea and toast as extras. Food was cooked perfectly both times and there was plenty left over as we were so full! Came here for dinner Saturday night - we went for an assortment of starters - mussels and prawns being very popular - everyone enjoyed. For mains most people went for the steak. 3 people's steak (mine included) ended up being overcooked so we had to wait for more steak to be cooked properly - this was a bit annoying as the others were nearly finished by the time we got our steaks. Saying that though the steak was gorgeous - I got mash on the side which was to die for! There was a band playing that night (a really good band!) so we decided to stay in the bar for drinks - bill came to about €500 which was really cheap considering how much food and drink we had - reminds one how expensive Dublin restaurants are in comparison! Brilliant weekend and I would recommend people to visit Mullaghmore and this hotel.

Probably my favourite restaurant in Castleknock! I've been here twice in the last week - the food is just so good every time. I went for the chicken supreme first adn got it with chips on the side and a yummy garlic butter sauce - ate every bit! My partner went for the steak salad and again got fries - he also thoroughly enjoyed himself! We came in again on Saturday as I fancied a breakfast - I was a there at 12.30 but they still gave it to me which i thought was really nice. I got sausages, rashers, pudding, mushrooms, toasted ciabatta, and egg and devoured every bit - so good!! My other half went for spag bol which he also enjoyed. Needless to say we love this restaurant! Value for money I think is good as the good is so good. The only thing I will say is service is very slow - a bit too slow I think - even getting a glass of water took ages. Other than that it was all good - staff are really lovely too!

Came here 2 Fridays ago with a friend - had a look at the menu on their Menupages profile and it seemed to offer really good value so I thought it would be worth trying out - so glad I did! There is no corkage charge so got a lovely bottle of wine for just €10 - usually for wine that cheap you'd have to stay at home which is why i loved this - got great value wine and was able to enjoy a nice pub atmosphere too - I'll come back just for that! We got a bit peckish after an hour but instead of sticking with our original choices we ended up getting a pizza instead as we saw one go by and it looked so good - a really big one for about a tenner so we shared it - i think it would be too much for juts one person. The staff are really friendly there too. I will be back for sure!

Very impressed with the food I had here. When one thinks of takeaways you usually think of bad quality food - not the case here - restaurant standard if not better! first off when one walks in the place looks immaculate - you can see into the kitchen behind so you can see exactly what's going on to. There were a few seats to sit on while waiting for the order which was promptly cooked - freshly cooked i might add and not sitting there for hours. I had the Tiffin box - chicken skewers, spring rolls, etc for starter and i also had the duck salad. Absolutely delicious!!!! Couldn't get over the quality of the food! I recommend to everyone to try it out you will love it! Can't wait to have it again!

Had an absolutely brilliant time here at the Menupages night on Thursday. I'd never tried Moroccan food before and also my first time in Dada - wow - it was so tasty!! I will definitely be coming back for more. It was lovely meeting new people and everyone was so friendly. We started off with a glass of Prosecco and sat outside having a chat. When we were seated inside we started off with a selection of appertisers which the table shared which I thought was a great idea as we could taste a bit of everything. I was pretty full after this cause there was so much! For mains I went for chicken supreme - again it was delicious - so flavorsome! Dessert was a selection of icecream and profiteroles - I was stuffed at this stage but still managed to fit some in. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful and explaining about the different dishes. So so impressed with the restaurant - I can't wait to visit again and I look forward to the next Menupages night!

Ate in here about 3 weeks. My first time here and I noticed a lovely beer garden area outside which loved gorgeous so I'll return for that on a sunny day for sure. I wasn't that hungry so just went for the starter - seafood chowder - for a starter it was huge! It tasted delish adn I ate every bit. My friend went for the wrap with chips - he also ate all of it and seemed to enjoy it. All in all very enjoyable - I will be back!

i'm in here for drinks practically every weekend but this was first time trying their food. i love carvery food as a rule and this was yum! i went for turkey with cabbage, loads of mashed potato and plenty of gravy! absolutely perfect for a sunday afternoon. the staff are always lovely and friendly. anyone who is a fan of carvery will love this - i can't wait to have it again!

have been here a few times and have had good experiences every time - found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. the restaurant itself upstairs is just gorgeous - love the decor - really spacious and roomy. food has been tasty and satisfying every time and always makes me look forward to my next visit! the pub downstairs is nice for a drink after too!

Had a lovely dinner here on Saturday. I wasn't overly hungry so just went for the stringy chicken - basically chicken strips covered in batter - it was yum!! A bit too much salt on them maybe but still tasted really good. My friend went for some sort of beef dish (can't remember what it was now) - he ate it all so that's usually a good sign. Stayed for a few drinks too. Staff were lovely and nice buzzy atmosphere about the place. I shall come again at some stage!

Came here for lunch on Saturday with 2 friends. Wasn't impresses with the decor of the place but i suppose that's the style they were going for. One of my friends went for a chicken pasta dish and the other for spaghetti bolognese - they seemed to enjoy. I went for the prawn salad. The prawns were quite tasteless - I was so hungry I ate them anyway. The salad, if you could call it that, was horrible - droopy salad leaves, tasteless tomatoes. Service wasn't great either. I wouldn't come here again!

Came here with my other hald 2 weekends ago - he comes here a lot and loves the place - this was my first time and don't think i'd be pushed on going back. He went for the steak ( I tasted some of course and it didn't tasted like proper steak at all - not very nice at all!). I went for the crispy duck - the amount of fat on it was disgusting!! it was supposed to be crispy duck - more like fatty duck! We complained but the manageress just smiled and said ducks are fatty.
Not impresses at all! We did get a free drink but don't think that makes up for the horrible food!

A great addition to the city centre! Love this place - the decor is just fab - lovely brass fittings, grand piano on one level, open fires, etc - makes a brill first impression! Have been here several times now and every time is as good as the last. I'm a big fish person and since the fish they serve here is all fresh you can't go wrong really! The prices are so reasonable too! Looking forward to my next visit - fast becoming one of my favourite places!

Ate in here in 5 others on Sunday night - my first time and not the last. We were a bit late arriving but we were seated straight away. The staff were all very friendly throughout the night. We all got a selection of dished but I went for the prawns to start and the steak for mains. I wasn't mad about the prawns - they seemed a bit mushy. The steak was gorgeous though - I also got chunky chips on the side - yummy! I was so full afterwards! We were there to celebrate an occasion so we had plenty of drinks to follow - we had the table for about 4 hours but that was no problem with teh staff at all. The highlight of the night was the band (if you could call them that) - Tropical Storm I believe they're called - they were brilliant!! They went around every table singing songs on request - think they know every song! Their performance was just hilarious - I'd go again just to see them! A very enjoyable night - I highly recommend!

my first time in here last night....had seen some great reviews for the place on menupages so thought it was about time i checked it out....i was very impressed...gorgeous bar! even though it was only a wednesday there was a great buzz about the place. the service was brilliant...staff very attentive. myself and my friend originally just came for drinks....we had the nicest piniot grigio i've ever tasted...just divine! ended up getting a bite to eat too...we just got a starters as we weren't overly hungry...we both went for the fishcakes...yummy! i will definitely be back for drinks and a proper meal!

went for dinner here on friday night...have had drinks here plenty of times but this was my first time trying out the food. the restaurant looked great and service was really prompt. there were only 2 other people in there so the atmosphere was a bit lacking. i went for the fish as my mains and my friend went for the steak and he also got chunky chips. food was good....not amazing but i enjoyed it all the same. didn't bother with the dessert....we sat out in the bar and had a cocktail then. i'll certainly come back here for drinks, not so sure that i would for the food.

came here for lunch last friday with 2 friends...it had been a while since my last visit so i'd forgotten how much i like the place. they do the best lunch time deal....2 tapas plus glass of wine for only €10! the tapas portions were just perfect...2 would be enough to fill you. the glass of wine was so lovely that we went for another! we got a selection of tapas between us...meatballs are my fave i think. an enjoyable experience as always...i'll have to go there for lunch more often!

was last in here a few months ago and as i have never had a bad experience decided to pop in here for lunch with a friend last week - as always the food, value, service etc was all superb! i went for the meatballs to start and then burger as a main and my friend went for the garlic bread to start and the blt for mains. portion size was just right - i hate to waste food and nothing worse then feeling like you've eaten too much. i shall be back again of course!

salamanca has always been a favourite of mine - have never had a bad experience here. have eaten in the one on dame st too but have always preferred this one for some reason. came here on saturday with 3 other friends and 2 more joined us later on. we all went for different dishes with some of us sharing. as usual i don't know the names but i had the gambos pil pils - we all enjoyed our food immensely and hardly anything was left at the end. we stayed on for a few drinks then as the atmosphere was so relaxing and fun - perfect place for some tasty food on a saturday night before going out i think. i shall go again for sure! the bill was very reasonable too.

Made a lovely discovery thanks to Menupages - this restaurant delivers too!! Fancied some tasty food Saturday night but didn't want to make the effort of going out anywhere - I also didn't want the usual takeaway options of pizza, etc so was really delighted this option was open to me. First off the service was brilliant - when i ordered i was told it would be 45minutes - exactly 45minutes later there's a knock on the door - i like that the delivery person didn't get lost too - that happens a lot! I got the wings as a starter and the fish pie as a main - both came with salad on the side and there was also another separate salad given too so loads of food! (I couldn't actually eat it all). The wings were delish - I've had wings from other places delivered before and they weren't great but these wings tasted exactly the same as when i had them in the restaurant. The fish pie again was really good - wasn't as nice as when i ate it in the restaurant but this has to be expected when getting it in this form - saying that i would definitely still get it again. For all of this and delivery charge it was just under €25 which very good value considering the quality of food. I think The Farm will be the place i order from in future when I'm too lazy to go out for food - absolutely great idea for them to deliver now!

I think this is now my new favourite restaurant in Dublin! Ate in here for the first time yesterday- had lunch. I was a bit apprehensive as I had convinced myself that I don't like this kind of food - how wrong I was! I had norimaki (salmon and cream cheese filling) - omg gorgeous!! Also tried some tuna from a bento box - again cooked perfectly and so flavoursome. Finally tried some of the pork dumplings - fabulous! I can't believe how much I loved this food - really looking forward to my next visit! Tried a little bit of Saki too - my god it was strong! The decor of the restaurant is gorgeous too - really authentic and spacious - I'd actually come here on a night out for predrinks it's that nice! 5 stars very much deserved!

Myself and 2 of my friends ordered takeaway from here about 2 weekends ago. first off fair play to them for making it out as the snow was particularity bad that night! I'm not a big fan of Indian food so while mine was nice enough i wouldn't be mad about trying it our again - i got chicken tika masala. one of my friends also got chicken tika masala as a main and she loved it. my 2 friends also ordered a number of other dishes but as I'm not overly familiar with Indian food food i can't remember what they were called (would be helpful if there was a menu on here) - both of them ate every single bit so this obviously is a good Indian - it's just not for me. really cheap too - less than €40 for everything. the atmosphere was great as we ate it while watching x factor :)

even though i live 2 minutes from this pub my first time in here was on Friday. was a horrible cold friday night so myself and 2 friends decided drinks and food were in order here. the place was really full so lovely buzzy atmosphere about the place and i loved the xmas decorations! id anything it was a little too hot - weird complaint i know. we decided to sit in the Pub over the restaurant as we preferred the atmosphere - i got the seafood chowder and my friends went for chicken gougons and chips - they were only €8 each - CHEAP!! tasted good too! had a few drinks too - hot whiskey and sauvignon blanc. a lovely relaxing night and i shall certainly go again!

came here on sunday afternoon with 2 friends - we were all dying for their amazing chicken wings! service was a bit slow but staff weer friendly and we were seated no problem upstairs. not a big fan of the other food they do here so we all just got a portion of wings each and ate nearly all of it - delish! i'll come again just for the wings! my 2 friends also got a glass of sauvignon blanc while i stuck with water - bill came to just over €50 so cheap enough.

Was in here last Thursday night for the Menupages night - my first Menupages night and also my first time eating here. I was juts blown away - first of all a really great night - everyone was so friendly and chatty and secondly the restaurant was just divine! All us Menupages people were upstairs which was great as felt like we had place to ourselves. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. Was greeted with a cocktail on arrival - can't remember now what it was but it was good! For starters i went for the shrimp and for mains I went for the lamb - both cooked to perfection! The portion sizes were just perfect, inf act i was too full for dessert. The meal also included plenty of wine! All in all a really enjoyable evening - I'm really looking forward to my next visit!

ate in here for the first time last night with a friend and it certainly won't be our last - we were so impressed! staff were friendly, the decor in the decor in the restaurant was perfect and we had a great view of dublin city from the table we had. we shared starters - love the way it's presented on a sizzling hotplate - looked and tasted amazing! i now absolutely love chicken tikka. for mains we both went for a prawn dish - the flavours were just perfect and prawns cooked perfectly. the portions were pretty big so neither of us could finish it. included in the meal were some crackers and sauces at the beginning (i'm not familiar with indian food so can't remember what they were called) but they were yum! my friend has eaten in some other very well known indian restaurants and he admitted that this was actually the best indian he's ever had (quite a compliment coming form him!). i think it's a bit of a hidden gem - people really need to try it for themselves! we are both looking forward to our next visit!

just back from lunch here with my work colleagues. i got the seafood chowder and i'm sorry to say that i was not impressed at all...i'm not fussy at all but this was just horrible. the "fish" was slimy and tasteless and the bread was hard so didn't eat it. saying that i have eaten here before and my meal that time was delish and my 3 work colleagues thoroughly enjoyed theirs - empty plates were left. i'll certainly go again but will steer clear of the chowder!

OMG absolutely amazing!!! ate here on its opening night last night and was blown away. best meal i've had out in ages! came with 2 friends and they both ordered prawns to start which i tasted from their plate - wished i'd ordered my own then because it was so good! i'm a big fan of prawns and order them nearly every time i'm out - think these were the nicest i've ever tasted! i then got the halibut as my maincourse - again absolutely delish! my friends got the steak and the veal - again i had a taste of both - WOW!!! my friends were blown away too - so tasty! love the decor of the place too - it's really intimate. will most certainly be going back - i can't wait!!! what a great addition to ranelagh!

had made a booking in another very well known restaurant on merrion row and after been left waiting for an hour for our table (!!!) me and my friend left and chanced popping into Harrys (as we were starving at this stage) where we got seated straight away. nice buzz about the place - it was full but not overly so. service was prompt and friendly. i got the seafood chowder and even though it was only a starter it was pretty big and left me completely full. my friend got the steak which he finished so i take that as a good sign. would i come back here - yes - would i go back to the other restaurant - doubtful.

this is fast becoming one of my fave restaurants - have been here for both lunch and dinner on several occasions and immensely enjoyed every visit. the first time i was here i wasn't sure about the blue walls, i thought it a bit of a strange color but i love it now! they have a gorgeous separate function type room upstairs which i'm thinking of booking for my birthday that's how much i like this place!

my first time eating thai food - wouldn't be mad about it but it was nice enough here. came here for lunch today with about 25 work colleagues. i got the pad thai with prawns - at first i thought the portion was kind of small but there was a lot more in it than i thought that i was full before i knew it and couldn't finish it. think nearly everyone at my table got something noodley or went with a curry option. everyone said they really enjoyed it. nice interior in the restaurant too. if i was into thai food i would go again.

decided to come here on saturday for lunch - the food is known to be good so we felt we deserved a treat. i got the fish skillet - absolutely gorgeous, i cleared my plate - except for the shellfish but that's just a personal preference that i don't like them - my friend was happy to eat them and he loved it. my friend go the pate which he is obsessed with and orders it nearly every time he goes to la maison - it came with lovely fresh bread that was toasted, my fish skillet also came with this. felt like being bold so we also got 2 glasses of presecco which went down a treat. we sat outside and even though it wasn't the warmest of days we were cosy warms as the outside heaters are so good - there are also blankets and cushions on every seat which i think a nice touch. i loved the presentation of the food too - not just typical plates but metal pans and wooden boards - looks really good. the bill came to €55 in total which was good value considering the quality of food. i also noticed a sign outside saying they now open on sundays - yay!!

was wandering around town after work yesterday evening with a friend trying to decide where to go when i remembered i hadn't been to elephant in castle in ages. got seated straight away which was great as i know there are usually queues nearly coming out the door. of course we had to order the famous chicken wings as our starter to share - i had actually forgotten how good they are! I've had chicken wings in all the other well known places and i think the ones here remain the best. for mains i ordered the chicken club sandwich and my friend got the omelet with cheese and bacon. this is where our visit was let down - i asked for mayonnaise on the sandwich but it still tasted very dry - would not get again. my friends omelet was lacking in cheese and bacon - he said he could barely taste any. we also got a side order of chips -these were yum but the portion for €4 was tiny! altogether the bill was nearly €40 - would have considered cheap of our mains had been nice. all in all the wings are divine - i would go back just for them and not bother with anything else.

i've heard for ages how tasty the food is here and i finally tried it for myself on sunday. oh wow....seriously yummy....my new fave hungover food! went with my friend and we both got as a takeaway, there are seats available but this kind of food is always best enjoyed at home i think. i got the chips with the "bits" and cod and my friend got the fish burger with chips. i love how it's real old style and everything comes wrapped in paper...adds to the flavour i think! the portion sizes were huge too - neither of us could finish. forget dominoes and my usual sunday takeaways leo's is now my new best friend :)

i come here for drinks most weekends so was my first time trying food here. came for lunch with 2 friends...2 of us got the chicken Caesar salad and i got bacon added to mine....really tasty and loads of chicken it it...nothing worse than being stingy on the meat! my other friend went with the salmon and said it was gorgeous...3 very satisfied customers. the waitress serving us was so nice too...really chatty and friendly. we came back here for after work drinks and they are doing a thing that you get a bowl of free popcorn which i think is nice...anything free is always a good thing! i've always loved the place for drinks as they have a great smoking area but i'm loving the food now too!

had a very enjoyable experience in here about a month ago. popped in on the off chance with a friend and we were seated straight away by a very friendly waiter. we weren't overly hungry so decided to just get a few different starters between us to share. got them brought to the table at same time so we could nibble on all. we got the meatballs....to die for....nearly wanted to order another portion just for myself. we also got crab and prawns....again no complaints there....we cleared out plates! we also got 2 sides of chips...really crunchy which is how i like. my first time eating here and definitely not the last...i'm looking forward to those meatballs again YUM!!!

my first visit in here last night, had heard a lot about the place so was looking forward to trying it out. very busy for a wednesday - had to wait over half an hour for a table but that was no problem as i sat at the bar with my friend and we had a few drinks and chatted to the owner a little - lovely friendly man! food came quick enough. my friend ordered steak which he said was lovely and he got a side of chips which came in this little metal bucket which i thought was so cute! bit of a mix up over my order - i ordered rabbit but they came out with the crab instead - i didn't want to wait to i took the crab and i didn't mind as crab was my 2nd choice on the menu - it was gorgeous, would get it again. the service was a little scattered in that we got served by a few different people but they were all really nice. the bill came to €73 which included our drinks so pretty good value. all in all a good experience, a nice place to go for a casual relaxed dinner

got food from here for the first time over the weekend - OMG SO TASTY!!! even though it's really just a fast food place the quality of food was brilliant. got their buffalo wings - think probably the nicest i've ever tasted - easily rival those chicken wings you would get in well known restaurants in town and for a fraction of the price! also got fries with garlic cheese - again delish! to top it off i got a milkshake - it's so cool all the varieties of milkshakes you can get - you pick a base and then add in any topping you want and there's loads to choose from - soooo good! what i love too is that the food doesn't come in soggy paper bags like a lot of places but comes in proper lil cardboard boxes - very american! all in all yummy yummy and looking forward to my next treat!

ate in here about a month ago with 4 other friends, my first visit to the place. nice relaxed interior and nice location - perfect for some food during the day. my friends had had the chicken wings here before and raved about them so we all got chicken wings - omg divine - so so tasty! thinking about them now makes me think another visit is badly needed! we just got chips to go with them - skinny chips - i prefer chunky ones but saying that they were very tasty. out plates were left clean at the end of the meal!

my first time eating here last night. i have to say it was much better than i expected - much nicer interior wise. ate in the bistro upstairs - busy for a wednesday so atmosphere was pretty good. i just had a starter - dublin bay prawn salad - i absolutely love prawns and these were delish!! would definitely get again. my friend had the rabbit and spinach - i tasted some too - yummy - never had rabbit before but from what i tasted i want to get my own portion next time. had 2 caraffes of pinot grigio - my drink of choice and very nice. my friend got the cheese board as dessert and again i had to taste some - we both liked! the service was a bit weird - we were served by a few different people but i have to say they were all very nice and friendly. the bill came to nearly €100 - a bit expensive i thought at the time but everything was so good so i think was worth it

it was a friend's birthday on saturday so a group of 10 of us decided to come here for his birthday dinner and i think we were all very impressed. the staff were just brilliant at hiding the birthday boys presents and bringing them out at the right time. didn't have to ask for water once during the night - jugs were continuously refilled. as we were going out after the dinner we didn't have much in the way of food - the 9 others just got a main course - nearly everyone got steak and they all said it was the nicest steak they'd had in a long time - i tasted some too and it was yum!! i just got a starter - chowder - really big portion - very nice. the bill came to nearly €600 - about half of that was on drink - we had a least 10 bottles of wine between us. a birthday cake had been dropped in during the day and the staff were very good at bringing it out just when it was needed with candles lighting - the birthday boy was delighted with it. we didn't actually eat any of the cake - we left it for the staff to have if they wanted it. a very enjoyable night and i think we'd all go again!

i didn't actually eat in the cafe i just got a takeway - 2 slices of apple pie for me and my friend - soooooo good! you could tell it was homemade - my friend loved it too! think everything is homemade there - well it looks like it is anyway so must pop back in for a proper meal next time!
