Called in early on Saturday evening without a reservation and we got a table. Our waitress explained the concept of the restaurant and made some recommendations under each section. Everything that arrived was beautiful! Loved all of the dishes, cannot wait to go back to try some more!

Damascus Gate

Damascus Gate

Posted on 17 February 2013
Called in without a reservation on Saturday night and the place was heaving. We were told we could have a table if we waited 10 mins so we did. The tables were all placed very close together. The waiter advised us that it was a BYOW restaurant so hubby popped across the road to get a bottle. We ordered falafel and pastry for starters. For the price i think they could have afforded to put 3 on the plate rather than a measly 2. We both ordered Damascus Gate specialities for mains. Hubby opted for the half chicken and I ordered the fillet of fish. Both were only ok. The fist was just covered in a bland tomato sauce on a bed of plain rice with a slice of aubergine and slice of pepper thrown in. Hubbys chicken was nice but nothing special. Didn't bother ordering deserts. Don't know if i'd rush back, even though the two mains and starters only cost e40.

I've been dying to try this place out for so long! Myself and the hubby landed in on Sunday eve without a reservation and we were offered the seats at the bar which suited us as we were hungy and happy to eat straight away. Out waiter was very friendly and gave us an outline of some of the dishes. We started with 2 margaritas which were strong and expensive! We shared a starter of tostados which were only ok and as other reviewers stated, looked more like they had been assembled rather than cooked. I got the tuna for mains and hubby got the pork flank. Tuna was perfectly cooked. Pork flank was tasty but not a lot of it. We ordered a bottle of house white too. Didn't bother with desert. Overall the bill came to 110 which I felt was very overpriced for what we had. Nice vibe to the place and friendly staff. Maybe next time I'll just sample their tapas!

Castello Bruno

Had a late Friday lunch with hubby at Castello Bruno a few weeks ago. We ordered bruscetta and fish cakes to start. Bruscetta was fine...garlicy but a little on the soggy for my liking. Fish cakes were mostly potato and not much in the line of fish inside. For mains, I ordered the Sicilian pasta and hubby ordered seafood pasta dish. Sauce on my pasta was nice, nothing to write home about. Plenty of shellfish in hubbys dish. Pasta was not served al dente. Overall a good experience but not the best Italian meal i've ever tasted.

Used my menupages voucher last Saturday night and was pleasantly surprised by the choice on the menu. My marinated crabclaws were delicious, if a little salty. They also left an orange stain on my fingers, probably from the tumeric. Hubbys tandori prawns were perfectly cooked. For mains I had the talapia fish and hubby had one of the chefs recommended beef curries. Both were very flavoursome and were accompanied by naan bread and rice. We also ordered a tasty NZ Sauvignon Blanc to wash it all down. The only disappointment was the house desert that came with the voucher. One scoop of vanilla ice-cream, covered in what seemed like spray cream and strawberry sauce (from a bottle!) Apart from avoiding the desert in the future, i'd definitely go back

Used our menupages voucher on Sat evening and the place was deserted. The music in the background seemed to be on repeat and it was the same song playing over and over again! Hubby ordered the tandori selection for starters which were ok - a bit dry. My chicken tikka starter was quite rubbery. For mains we ordered prawns (2 supplement on the voucher). Hubbys dish was supposed to be hot but it wasn't, my medium dish was hotter. Rice and naan were good. When we enquired about desert, they said that they didn't have any - i was looking forward to a traditional Indian icecream! I wouldn't rush back, even with a voucher!

Restaurant was quiet enough for a Saturday evening. Hubby ordered chili chicken wings to start and I had the roti canai. 2 pancakes arrived and were a little greasy and the curry sauce looked a little oily, but overall the taste was fine. Hubby thought his starter was fine. For mains we ordered a laksa and a fish curry. The portion size of the fish curry was small enough. The laska had pieces of chicken that were still on the bone along with a handful of prawns. The sauce on this dish again had a layer of oil floating on it. All dishes were tasty but not amazing - however for E34 for the two courses each it was fairly good value!.

Went with my hubby for their early bird menu tonight. What fantastic value - he had the terrine followed by the beef bourginon, i had the minestrone soup followed by the roast hake. Food was delicious and very well presented. We ordered 2 glasses of wine and our server came back to ensure we were happy with our choices. We managed to squeeze in deserts - he opted for the creme brulee which was only slighly disappointing but the pavlova was fantastic, cruncy on the outside, chewy on the inside. 3 glasses of wine and an espresso brought the early bird menu to 69...which was well worth it!!

Used our Living Social Deal last weekend and can't believe this was our first visit. Amazing food, great wine, very pleasant staff even though they brought the wrong starters, but we didnt mind. Food is to die for, we had the scallops and salad to start and lobster linguine and monkfish for main. All dishes were faultless. Shared a chocolate tart for desert which was beautiful - very lucious! Would definitely visit again

Went for dinner with the hubby last night. Excellent service, very helpful front of house girl who explained the different aged meats and recommended starters to share and wine. Ordered tuna tostados and they were delicious. Followed that with the Cote de Bouef for 2 which was served with onion rings and smoked beans. Beef was perfectly cooked although i'm not too keen on the marbling! Stiil had delicious taste though! Definitely worth a visit for all the carnivores out there!

We were very tempted by their early bird menu but decided on the a la carte instead. I had an amazing crab lasagne, while hubby had seafood spaghetti dish. We were delighted with our choices. Had an early dinner with the hubby this evening and couldn't fault this gem of a restaurant. Fantastic value, 19.50 for two courses. I had the soup while hubby had mussels in white wine sauce. We both opted for the fish of the day which was a beautiful fillet of hake served with greens and baby potatoes. Not a huge portion but rich all the same. Didnt go for desert but definitely will the next time we return...

Octopussy Seafood Tapas

Having visited the restaurant next door plenty of time, we decided to give Octobpussy a try. Ordered from their great value early bird menu, 2 medium tapas and a glass of house wine for 15! Between us we ordered the spicy crayfish salad, fish tenders, baked scallops and crab on toast. All dishes were delicious. My only gripe would be with the extra portion of patatas bravas we ordered - although there were plenty of them, they were covered in what tasted like a tomato & basil sauce which gave them more of an italian feel rather than spanish. Glasses of house wine were tasty too. Would definitely try it out again

Tried this restaurant for the first time on Saturday night. They have 3 separate menus on offer but we chose from the a la carte which probably wasn't a great idea when the final bill came! I had scallops to start followed by monkfish. Scallops were deliciously soft but the pudding should have been grilled not fried in my opinion as it was too soggy. Hubby had the dublin bay prawns to start which were expensive given the portion size. Follwed that with the fillet of turbot which again was a tiny portion for the price. Mains came with a dish of baby boiled potatoes and some steamed veg. Food was very good but very expensive for what we got. Probably better value to be had with their dinner menu or tasting menus

Tried here on Friday night for the first time and was seriously impressed. The menu is based around ricetafels - similar to tapas but indonesian food. I tried the Bali menu which included pork wontons, chicken satay skewer, beef rendang, a spicy salad and rice. Hubby went for the fish menu which included a fish cake, hake in a banana leaf, prawn rice, noodles. The plates seemed endless and each was delicious. We didn't have room for deserts. Staff were very friendly and explained the menu in detail. As the previous reviewer said, it's slightly pricey but still the food is fantastic. We were also in the top room and it's definitely worth asking for a table up there.

Used our citydeal on Friday night along with a lot of other people by the looks of it. Had starters of chicken livers and seafood chowder. Starters are a bit limiting if you don't like pate/chowder/terrine/smoked salmon Chowder was nice and creamy but too many mussels for my liking. Hubby enjoyed his livers served pink. For mains we had the lamb shank and the rump steak with home fries. The fries were delicious and the steak cooked perfectly. The lamb was falling off the bone and was delicious. We didn't have room for desert. Service was attentive however there was a long gap between starter and main course but we didn't mind because we weren't in a rush. The restaurant got rather hot once the tables began to fill up. Would try it again

Went here for dinner on Friday night and was very impressed. The menu is extensive and hard to choose one thing. They have a separate sushi menu. I ordered Chicken Teriyaki which was a small portion but just what i was looking for. Hubby had the hot beef ramen and it was fairly spicy. We got 2 side orders of gyoza (which were grilled and delicious) and breaded squid rings. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back to try more of their dishes and sushi.

Went for dinner on a busy Thursday night. I was a bit disappointed with my hummous - had just come straight out of the fridge therefore difficult to taste anything from it and could have done with more than 5 pitta bread fingers. Hubbys brie tartlet was more successful. For mains i had the fish pie although i found it hard to taste the apple and shallot mash - it just had loads of dill in it. Hubby had the 1/2 roasted chicken with duck fat potatoes. Chicken was tasty but the potatoes could have been crispier. We shared a pear and almond tart which was a real winner. Service was good.

Called in on the way to see a movie. The place was fairly busy for a Thurs eve. Had a voucher from another supplier so asked if it was possible to use it - it was for 2 burgers, but waitress said that they had to be from the beef burger section which didn't really make sense as some of the chicken burgers were cheaper! Anyway, burgers arrived on thick bundys. Looked appetising but unfortunately the taste didn't match. They tasted like poor quality burgers and the fries looked like the frozen ones, not hand cut. Service was ok, wouldn't be rushing back.

Had dinner on a busy Friday night. Lots to choose from on the menu so asked our very friendly waitress for some advice on the starters / mains. I had the chicken skewes while hubby had the chicken wings. For mains I had the prawn & crab claws but they were not peppery/spicy as indicated on the menu. Sauce was a little acidic and at almost 25 thought it was a little overpriced. Hubby had the monkfish & bean stew, again slightly overpriced given the tiny portion of monkfish. He had to order a separate side dish as it wasn't served with anything. While we were waiting on starters, lovely seed bread arrived on the table which was probably the reason we didn't have room for desert. Would go back again to try something else but felt the seafood dishes were expensive for the portion size.

The restaurant was fairly empty on a Sunday night, except for a few other tables. We were given the lunch special which was valid until 8pm. It seemed fantastic value at 12.99 per person for a soup/appetiser/main/desert. We both had the chicken and corn soup which could have been hotter. I had the spring rolls and hubby had the salt and chili chicken wings - both deep fried so can't really go wrong there. I had the prawn with ginger and spring onion while hubby had cantonese roast duck. Both dishes were served on single dinner plates, no separate bowl of rice. The sauce was so incredibly hot, i suspect it had just been microwaved. Hubbys duck was served dry and probably could have done with a bit of a sauce. He said it was tasty though. We were never offered desert even though it was on the menu although we wouldn't have had room anyway! Good value for a cheap and cheerful dinner, pity about the boppy music going on in the background

Decided to try here for a New Years Eve dinner. There were only a few other occupied tables but that didn't affect our experience. For starters we had snails and scallops. The scallops were amazing and served with a beautiful cauliflower puree. I didn't sample the snails but hubby said they were tasty. For mains we had the steak and duck leg. Steak came with their own cut fries and the duck was served with a squash puree and glazed shallots. We ordered extra side dishes which in hind sight we probably didn't need but the glazed carrots were perfectly cooked and still firm. The mash was buttery. We were too full for deserts. Service was very good and we had a very nice waiter who was only too happy to help out with the wine selection. It's definitely a venue for a treat as it's not cheap but the food is worth it!

Having heard some mixed reviews on this restaurant I can't understand why. We had a very enjoyable meal here over the xmas period. We didn't have a reservation but as it was still early in the evening it wasn't a problem. Chose from their set menu which was excellent value - 20 for 2 courses or 25 for 3. We had starters of mushroom risotto and chicken liver pate. The risotto was cooked well but could have done with a tad more seasoning. For mains we had the slow cooked beef and the herb crusted haddock. Beef was so deliciously soft. Haddock was tasty although the crust wasn't all that crusty! Waitress took the plates before the other half had finished swallowing his last morsel but i think she may have been bored as the restaurant was quiet enough. They are only minor issues but would have no problem recommending this restaurant to other diners.

We dropped in without a reservation and got a table with no problem as there were only a few other diners that afternoon. Had starters of bruschetta and starter pasta, both were extremely good. Mains of risotto salsiccia and venison were perfectly cooked. Delicious bottle of iluminati montepulciano and superb service got our xmas break off to a great start. We were too full for deserts but offered some after dinner drinks on the house. Would definitely recommend this place and will definitely be back!

Found this restaurant after doing some late night Xmas shopping and was pleasantly surprised. We ordered some dumplings to share which were tasty. Hubby ordered the spicy fish korean dish which was cod and was delicious and definitely had a kick. It was served with a very generous portion of rice. I ordered the Spicy Chicken and Potato Korean soup dish but was told by the waitress about 10 mins later that it wasn't available. Ordered the beef and vegetable in spicy sauce from the korean list again and it wasn't spicy, just a little tangy. Restaurant was very busy for a Monday night but not surprising given their reasonable prices. 1 starter, 2 mains for 28...that's recession proof! Would like to go back to sample their BBQ. Not too much in terms of atmosphere, just a television in the background showing a football match, but wouldn't let that put me off going again!

Asked for the fish to be cooked by the kitchen and it was divine. The sirloin was very tasty. Got side orders of greens and truffle chips, both were delicious. At here on a cold Sunday night and the place was jammed. We had fish cakes and chowder to start. The chowder was delicious - not too creamy and had plenty of chunks of fish. The fish cakes were ok. They weren't as crisp as I was expecting and had more potato than fish but tasty nonetheless. We had skate and lamb shanks for mains. 2 fine pieces of skate arrived on my plate although there was a little too much butter sauce for me. The fondant potato was a little dry. The lamb shank was falling off the bone, and came with a beautiful gravy and mashed potato. 2 starters/mains and 1 glass of wine came to just over €40 which was great value. Altough we were sitting in a small room off the main dining area, service was very attentive.

4 of us had dinner here on Friday night. The restaurant was buzzing when we arrived. We took our time going through the menu as there is quite a lot to choose from. For starters we chose the scallops, crab claws and monkfish. The scallops were perfectly cooked but the chili topping wasn't great. The crab claws tasted great but as a previous reviewer said they were tiny. The monkfish was probably the best of the starters. For mains we chose 3 different prawn dishes and a lamb dish. The dishes themselves are small and the sauces were slighly oily but the prawns were enormous. Nan breads were delicious but the servings of rice were again quite small. We didn't have desert, just coffees. The bill came to just over €200 for 4 starters/mains/2 nans/2 rice/2 bottles of wine. Thought it was expensive for what we had. Service was very good and the complimentary popadoms and dips were also a nice touch.

Dropped in without a reservation and were told we could have a table for hour and half which was fine. I had baby calamari with smoked aoili to start and hubby had wild mushroom risotto. Both were delicious but would have preferred mine without the tentacles. For mains I had the hake in buerre blanc and hubby had the sirloin, cooked medium rare. Hake was delicious, drizzled sauce was rich but not too much. Steak was cooked perfectly. Didn't order any side dishes as both mains came with the house potato (creamed). Don't normally go for deserts but decided to pig out!! He ordered the chocolate brownie, which was a tad dry but my rhubarb fool served in a martini glass was lovely and light. Service throughout had been very good but it was a pity one of the waiters whipped away my husbands plate while he was still chewing his last morsel. Same waiter also delivered the bill before we had finished our coffees (we didn't ask for the bill) The lady was very chatty. Will definitely go back for their ala carte...

Checked with the waitress if they came with skinny chips and she confirmed they did - asked if it would be possible to have the chunky chips instead which she said was no problem, but unfortunately the skinny ones arrived. We didn't send them back as we'd waited well over 30 mins for the burgers and were too hungry at that stage. Both burgers were tasty and served on floury baps. The skinny chips were only ok. Nobody came to check if we needed anything else. Price wise, it's reasonable. €30 for 2 burgers, 2 bottles of sparkling water and a glass of wine. Didn't bother with deserts. Great selection of starters and there must have been about 15 main courses to choose from. We ordered the calamari and tukey meatballs to start. Calamari was deliciously tender in a crisp batter. Despite earlier reviews, I thought that the turkey meatballs were very flavoursome. 3 generous size bites were served with a delicious tomato based sauce. For mains we had the chicken kebabs and the prawn with olives and spicy tomato sauce. Both dishes were served with a choice of chips/garlic sauteed potatoes or salad. The prawns already came with a rice dish so the extra carbs were probably not needed. Service was very good. Didn't bother with deserts as we were too full! Will definitely try it again...

There was a great buzz in the restaurant when we arrived. The restaurant offers a very good evening 'value menu' of 3 courses and a bottle of premium wine for 72.50 per couple. Although there were options to suit everyone on the value menu, I preferred some of the dishes from their A La Carte menu. Our waiter was very accommodating when I asked if it was possible to order a first course from the value menu but a main course from the A La Carte. I chose salt & chili squid to start. I was expecting the usual squid rings but was pleasantly surprised to get deliciously tender squid pieces in a batter. My hubby chose the pork belly which was divine. The skin was perfectly crispy but the meat still remained juicy. For main course I ordered stir fried scallops with garlic and my hubby opted for the green duck curry. Both were perfectly cooked; the scallops were not overcooked, and were still translucent in the centre. Both of our dishes were served with steamed rice. A bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc perfectly complimented the dishes. Service was attentive without being over-powering. During our meal a member of the front of house team asked if we were enjoying our meal which was a nice touch. Definitely a fine dining experience.

Tasty pizzas - mare e monti leghera is very tasty. Limited wine selection but it's not the type of place that you'd spend hours over dinner anyway. Hubby had their desert & coffee combo and it's a perfect size sweet treat to finish a meal. Definitely worth a visit if your on the way to a show, looking for something (reasonably) cheap and cheerful.

Tried the wine and dine menu for 59 on friday night. choice of 3 starters, mains and deserts incl bottle of good south african wine. shared the mussel starter and it was only ok.i ordered the medallions of beef for a surcharge and opted for medium rare. when they arrived they were more or less cooked through but still juicy.hubby ordered sirloin, medium rare which was cooked to his liking. i ordered icecream selection for desert which was served in a nice brandy basket. hubby ordered creme brulee, which was still not set when it arrived on the table. it was replaced promptly with a chocolate parfait which was full of ice lumps! tea/coffee was never offered even though it was on the menu. food was ok/good for the price but still room for improvement

Very trendy brasserie, comfy chairs, friendliest staff - had all of the signs of a good experience, until some of the dishes arrived. My mug of prawns cocktail was tasty and came on a breadboard with 2 slices of brown bread. His lobster bisque was smooth & creamy. Both opted for burgers for main courses - his Big Blue was going down well, even if the patty was on the small side, it came with juicy tomato & lettuce. My falafel was a bit of a disaster. Large tasteless patty that tasted like deep fried sawdust, very disappointing - totally lacked herbs & spices, no coriander or cumin. Shared a desert of chocolate mousse with coffee & walnut icecream. Mousse didn't taste home-made and had a synthetic taste to it. The icecream had large lumps of ice crystals in it too. Based on the great reviews here, i'm hoping that we just made a few poor choices and will be willing to try it another time.

Visited on Bank Holiday Monday - they had Sunday menu available however had run out of the majority of dishes (alternatives were available) Shared the crab claws which were very tasty and quite meaty. I had swordfish, but it came on a curry flavoured sauce with baby boiled potato. Overpowered the fish a bit. Other half had the fish pie - looked great but he couldn't touch it for 10mins as it was boiling hot. 69 including bottle of aussie chardonnay...bit on the pricey side given it's still got a pub grub feel to it.

Have usually always enjoyed my visits to Bar Pintxo but Friday was a disappointment. Patatas Bravas were soggy and tasted as if they were reheated. Batter on the calamari was soggy and the calamari was chewy. The colder tapas plates were better than the hot ones. Wine was good however and our waitress was pleasant. Broken light fitting on the toilet floor should be avoided, particularly if you're wearing heels!! Hope that the kitchen staff were just having an off night as it was a favourite!

Spent a weekend in the Cliff and had dinner on the first night in the restaurant. It's a michelin star restaurant - food is perfectly presented. Their amuse bouche of pea soup with ham crumb was on the large side - the crumb was very hard! Main courses of monkfish and lamb were perfectly cooked. Deserts of chocolate slice with salt & oil was extremely rich; my rhubarb plate was interesting to say the least and included a candy floss, rhurbarb shot and a rhubarb jelly. 3 courses were 65 each....saucy but worth it as a treat. Fantastic views from the dining room over Ardmore strand

Had their all evening early bird menu. Both of us ordered the Tasting platter which consisted of a beautiful soup, pork rilette, crab brulee and smoked makerel. Choice of 4 main courses - i went for Hake which was perfectly cooked and came with a creamy portion of potato. Hubby went for the bacon which thought was only ok. Deserts were rhubarb creme brulee and a chocolate truffle cake. The cake was light and delicious but the brulee had been slightly overdone, getting to the scrambled egg stage. Wines were reasonably priced and they have a few desert wines on offer also. Service was great - our waitress was very attentive. 3 courses, 1 bottle of wine, 2 glasses of desert wine and 2 vodka tonics to start came to e113.

Dropped in with no reservation and got a table beside the kitchen on Sunday evening. Ordered 2 tapas dishes each, grilled sardines and crab cakes for me and buffalo prawns and mussels for the hubby. I'm not normally a fan of mussels but these ones would definitely convert me. Big juicy mussels in a rich garlic cream sauce. My crab cakes were delicious. Sardines were good but a bit of hard work. 4 tapas (incl bread) and a side order of fries, carafe of wine all for €45. Great service.

Bon Appetit Brasserie

Bon Appetit Brasserie

To celebrate a special occassion we went to Bon Appetit again for their tasting menu and unfortunately I wasn't as impressed as last time - now I am being a bit picky but this is a michelin star restaurant after all. When we sat down, my wine glass still had the remains of someone's lipstick - it was promptly replaced. The toddler at a nearby table running around/crying (at 9pm) was a bit of a distraction but that was not the fault of the restaurant. The amuse bouche was a pea foam with smoked salmon and was delicious; it was followed by red-wine poached egg & asparagus, then apple sorbet, saddle of rabbit & duck quenelle, pre-desert and chocolate parfait for desert. Amazing food although the service was extremely slow;only 2 waiters serving the room, again not what you'd expect from a restaurant of this standard. Tea/Coffee comes with petit fours, but at 13.95 for two, it's a bit excessive. Still worth it for special occassions.

Was very disappointed with my visit on Friday. Went with 2 friends and we ordered a few different dishes. Meatballs, chicken wings, patatas bravas, prawns in garlic & chilli. All dishes were ok but wasn't wow'd by them. Their prices have increased too which is surprising in the current climate. Hopefully they were just having a bad night because it used to be a favourite of mine...

5 of us went for Sunday lunch which is fantastic value. You'll definitely roll out of Rolys! We were seated at a table downstairs that could really only take 4 so it was a tight sqeeze. The dining area upstairs seems to be more roomy. Apart from that, food was fabulous. Great selections of wines (also by the glass). Definitely worth a visit.

Called in for a quick bite before heading ot the cinema on Saturday night - very friendly waiter. Agree with other reviews that it can lack atmosphere but it's not really a place for a long drawn out meal. Shared the prawn starter - juicy prawns in a delicious garlic and chilli oil served with a mini pizza bread. We both had pizzas, I went for the Picante and it was nicely spicy. Other half had the parma ham & rocket pizza and he said it was also good. Extra thin bases weren't available on Sat night but the bases weren't all that thick anyway. Worth a try on the way to the cinema / Draiocht theatre.

Good selection of dishes for anyone who isn't too keen on fish! I had the seared organic salmon which was beautiful but the stir fried veggies and noodles were a bit soggy. His fish and chips were a big hit. Massive home cut chips and a light crispy battered cod. Food was a bit slow in coming but service and attention was good. Worth a visit on a cold February evening.

I had the early bird and other half chose starter and main from the a la carte. Fantastic value early bird, 2 courses for €15. Mushroom terrine with french toast while scallops on pea/mint puree were cooked perfectly. Fish cakes were equally very tasty and their fish pie has plenty of chunky pieces of salmon, prawn, cod and smoked fish in it. Very attractively priced wines. Live music added to a great meal! Service was great overall although had to wait a while to pay the bill but that wasn't a problem as we weren't in a rush. Will definitely be back.

Stopped off for a quick bite to eat on a very cold Sunday night. My husband had the Moroccan lamb & chickpea soup which was delicious & very filling for a starter. I had the chili makerel on toast which was tasty but could have done without the explosion of horseradish. His mains of venison sausage with roasted celeraic was again delicious but my butternut squash risotto was very disappointing. Swimming in sauce and grains of risotto were overcooked. Despite this, dishes are very well priced and there's a good selection of wines by the glass. Great idea to have unlimited mineral/sparkling water for e1 per person. Will definitely give it another try but avoid the risotto.

Went to La Banca on Saturday night and can say that it was possibly one of the worst meals I have ever had. Ordered the caprese salad and it arrived swimming in balsamic vinegar and covered in rocket - not a leaf of basil in sight. Main courses of penne with prawns & mushroom in sambucca and safron cream was awful. Again pasta was swimming in sauce and was boiling hot it must have been microwaved. Other main course of spinach and rictotta ravioli was a disaster - child size portion and tasteless filling. Skipped deserts. Won't be back!

Was really looking forward to visiting BA Grill having spent some time in Argentina. Was very dissappointed with the experience. Had to send my medium fillet steak back as it was completely cooked through - when the replacement arrived back, it totally raw. Empanadas were only ok - not as nice as the ones in Buenos Aires. They do, however, have some very nice Merlots from Mendoza. Overpriced steaks.
