Harrys Mediterranean Cafe & Wine BarPosted on 23 April 2013
Ate here last Sat night 4 of us and what can I say I've never been here before but talk about great food great value and great service - we had a table booked for 8pm and when we arrive we were told that the early bird menu was still available which was a great price €25 for 2 courses and wait for it only +€6 for a bottle of red or white wine or which there was a choice of 3 on both fronts so for 4 of us with 2 bottles of white wine it was €112!!! where can you go wrong with that the food was excellent and a great choice from the early bird I would highly recommend this place and will definitely return

so 2nd time to visit this place having got a deal the last time and just cannot recommend this place enough - we had a nice nook of a corner for us and the restaurant itself was busy but not overpacked with was a nice atmosphere - start off having a drink and the wait offered us menus and the specials - I have the gravadlax, crab & horseradish creme f
raiche to start and the other half had the langoustine risotto both were beautiful and just the right size mains were a special of hake and the sea breem and again both delicious and beaitufully presented we finished with a light and fluffy rhubarb parfait and the other half had a melt in the mouth chocolate brownie coffees and a bottle of wine brought it to a very reasonable €128.00 we will definitely be back again

l'Ecrivain RestaurantPosted on 23 May 2011
For our wedding anniversary my husand and I ate here on Sat night it was our first visit to the restaurant and we were not disappointed. We started off with a drink or two in the bar where we happliy dried off having been caught in a horrendous rain shower. We were shown up to our table and having had a chance to review the menu at the bar we were able to order pretty much straight away - we both went for the a la carte menu we rarely eat out so decided to blow the budget - I have the ducks liver (aka foie gras) to start and my other half had rainbow trout my starter was divine best I have ever tasted and husband was delicous too, next we had the halibut and lobster tail both again divine then desserts followed with an after dinner drink and coffee. Before each course there was an amuse bouche all of which were small (just as well) and very flavoursome. There was a slight error on our payments as it was put thorugh twice by no ones fault the machine packed in at the table but they were very quick to spot it and gave me a void reciept and another complementary after dinner drink each. Overall it was wonderful from the food to the staff and I hope to save up and go again soon - don't hesitate about this restaurant go for it!

Pearl BrasseriePosted on 22 July 2009
Ate here on Friday night for the first time and were seated in a 'sung' area away from main dining room which made the evening a very intimate affair it was simply fantastic would have no hesitation in recommending this place the food and service were both excellant and reasonably priced - as with every other restaurant the wine is overpriced which is the only reason I deducted it down in value.
Can't wait to go again.

Roly Saul The RestaurantPosted on 20 April 2009
Visted here for 1st time on Sat night with husband and was delighted with the meal and value for money. For 3 courses, bottle of wine and coffee it was just under €120 which I thought was very reasonable.
I had warm goats cheese salad to start which was delicious and other half had chichen terrine which was also nice and very good size portions for mains there was pork belly which was lovely and tender (although red cabbage was too peppery for my liking) and hake was cooked beautifully and all well presented.
Service was good but could be better, the main downside was at the beginning of the night when we arrived we were seated downstairs in reception area and although we were given menus to look over we were not asked did we want a pre dinner drink, this was the only disappointing part of the evening given that we were waiting 15 mintues for our table and we weren't the only ones.

4 of us ate here on Saturday night and as usually we were not disappointed both the service and the food was excellent would highly recommend this place to anyone. Two of us had scallops to start with from the special menu and the other tow has goats cheese bruschetta and crab linguine which was to die for - mains were rack of lamb served beautiful pink, fillet of beef, monkfish and hake which were just all divine followed by dessert and a few after dinner drinks I think we were the last to leave but no one rushed us out of the restaurant which was great will definitely go back for more.

Gordon Ramsay @ PowerscourtPosted on 22 April 2008
We spent a night here in the Ritz Carlton (not to be missed) and had booked in at this restaurant and it was simply divine ones of the best meals I have had to date. As it ws my 30th we pushed the boat out my husband had the lobseter raviolli and I had the poached frogs legs with snail cavier both were delicious for very different reasons. Mains I went for the fillet of beef and husband went for the sea bass again both delicious and to end we both had the chocoloate fondue which is not to be missed DIVINE. We were then given a tour of the kitchen as we were the last to leave whihc is spotless and you can actaully book a table inside it to view the whole goings on if you wish - I must admit i would go for this but only with the Main Man there.
The whole atmosphere and level of service was excellant it is expensive but I think well worth it just have to come up with an excuse to go again!

One Pico RestaurantPosted on 22 April 2008
11 of us ate here last Saturday night for a few celebrations my birthday, my Dads birthday and my sisters 1st wedding anniversary and it was fantastic from the food to the service. The waiter who was looking after us was excellent and when a bottle of white wine that he had recommended was too sweet for us he replaced it with another at no charge the food was fresh and well presented and the hot chocolate fondant is to die for - one not to be missed!

8 of us eat here last Friday night and it was fantastic both the food and service were really excellant, the menu has a fantastic choice to suit everyone although next time I would asked to be seated at the couches if you have a large group saves the people at either end of the table missing out.

Cafe Mimo (Dundrum)Posted on 26 June 2007
Met a friend here for lunch one Saturday afternoon and was really impressed with the quality of the food I had the special of a soup and a sandwich and both was delicious, the soup tasted homemade and the bread was fresh, there is a good choice on the menu and surprisingly isn't quite inexpensive and the portion sizes are good would recommend it highly as one of the best spots in Dundrum to get a casual lunch.

First Floor Bar & Brasserie @ Harvey NicholsPosted on 26 June 2007
Had a celebration dinner here on a Saturday night for my recent graduation, never been here before, found the whole place fantastic, venue really unique you could be anywhere in the world than Dundrum Shopping Centre, the food was gorgeous, portions look tiny but once you get stuck in you'll find that it is most satisfying, the service was excellent, and the layout of the restaurant is excellent very intimate experience would recommend it highly and can't wait to go back!
