Rock BistroPosted on 08 September 2011
I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Its a small restaurant nicely decorated, clean looking with nice decorative paintings & crafts on display. The staff I found were very helpful and were able to accommodate if necessary.I ordered a starter & main meal. My starter was very tasty with nothing to fault on it and my main was also very tasty. I had ordered the Thai Red Curry for main. I was very satisfied by it and even had to leave some behind.
We ordered wine with the meal which was lovely. The meals came down on time without delay. A tip was deserved for this restaurant . I would come back here again.

The Wytchway InnPosted on 12 April 2011
Went for Sunday lunch here, it was superb. The service was very good also, coming around every now and then to ask if everything was ok, and the price for a 3 course meal , I though was very reasonable, 22.50euro, and that included tea/coffee afterwards. The atmosphere was lovely, very relaxed and lovely interior.

Stars of IndiaPosted on 13 February 2011
The staff in this restaurant are very accommodating towards giving the customer what they want.
They also are very good in explaining any dishes that you wouldnt have much knowledge in or have
never ate before. If you want to have a particular dish but dont want a particular ingredient, they
can accommodate to your taste. For my starters, I ordered the King Prawn Bhuna. As starters go, this
was a big one, and very tasty, not too spicy. Then for mains I ordered the Chicken Jhalfrezi.Very tasty
with a hint coriander and lots of chillies in it, which I like, but again if something that's hot is
not for you, they can leave out alot of the chillies. The atmosphere, lighting, music, were all lovely.
Well recommended as a place to go for food, and reasonably priced too.

Strasbourg GoosePosted on 13 July 2010
I went to this restuarant recently and they had the deal of 3 course meal for €20, whic I thought was very good value. The meal was fantastic. I order for starters the Mussels in White Wine Sauce, which were to die for. For the main I ordered the Breaded Goats Cheese served with Cherry Compot, Salad Mix and Potato Gratin. The Dish was gorgeous and the cheese was not too strona taste like many Goats cheese can be. A goos choice and I would recommend it to any cheese lovers. For dessert, I ordered the Banoffie Pie, which was light and refreshing and not too heavy. All meals in which I would recommend. The staff there were very frendly and the atmosphere was very relaxing and an enjoyable place to eat. Daytime or evening time. Plus the location is superb.

Cafe TerassePosted on 25 February 2010
The only type Ive meal Ive eaten within this cafe is the All Day Breakfast. There's two types, the Full Irish, and the Vegetarian. Since I dont eat Pork, I opted for the vegetarian breakfast, it ticks all the boxes for me. Many places barely show any ingredients on the plate of a Vegetarian Fry Up, but Cafe Terasse, had a full plate of food, including Veggie Sausages. Plus lots of brown bread & Toast as well as Coffee/Tea. From what I could see too, the Full Irish Breakfast also had a plate full too! It was priced at €8.99. You could also opt for a smaller breakfast which was €5.99. Its located on the upper floor of the Cashel Shopping Centre, and has the beautiful out door Eating Area, which looks out over the front of the Shopping Centre. The staff are very friendly and the Cafe has a lovely relaxing atmosphere.

Sous Le VentPosted on 26 April 2009
I have been to Sous Le Vent a few times now, and have never been disappointed by this restaurant, Their menu has a Contemporary Irish / French feel to it, serving classics like Steaks, to Chicken and Fish, as well as Vegetarian Dishes. Real taste and quality comes out through the food, and the service and staff are very friendly. The only real fault I can find with the restaurant was the price, as I thought it was a tad too much, especially through the current climate. Their prices have not dropped since before the Recession, compared to other restaurants I have been to which have dropped their prices. It might not be good for them, if they want to win over their customers, from other restaurants locally. But other than the price issue, the restaurant is excellent, and should be visited if you want good food.

Hans CafePosted on 26 April 2009
Café Hans is a very special Cafe as it serves out food at excellent quality. Their open from 12.00 to 5.00 pm, so to avoide the queues, we decided to go early, and we got a seat straight away, but if you do happen to arrive while full, there is a waiting area, where you stay until you are called for a table. You could be waiting from 2minutes, up to 20 minutes, but people don't mind waiting, because they know its worth waiting for. I ordered a starter and a main. My starter was their signature Mushroom Soup. It was so good! I never wanted the soup to end. Real rich, fresh, and creamy. And then for my main, I ordered the Special, which was a Huge Fish Cake with Salmon and mussels, sitting on top of a bed of Pea Risotto, which melted in my mouth. Excellent quality a reasonable prices.

Kambo Chinese RestaurantPosted on 27 November 2008
I recently ordered food for takeout, for myself and my boyfriend. I was disappointed with what I got. I ordered a Chicken Szechuan with Fired Rice. I received "boiled" rice, and the sauce with my Dish, was like liquid gloop, that was tasteless. My boyfriend ordered Duck ChowMein. It tasted ecellent, and the duck wasnt too fatty, whcih is good! But when he ordered chips with his dish, they were nice and hot, and but they looked shrinked. Like as if they were left there, for ages. Overall, my recommendations for those specific takeout meals were medium to low. But I cannot say the rest of the dishes are bad.

Shimla Indian Restaurant ThurlesPosted on 26 November 2008
I have eaten in many Indian Restaurants in my time, and without a doubt, the Shimla, stands out for me. I tried many different dishes on the menu, and the one in which I can recommend is the Chefs' Special, the Chicken Jhalfrezi. Its rich in flavour, and the freshness of the tomatoes and coriander and chilli, just really gets your taste buds going. The staff are really friendly and try to accommodate you as best they can! Also, their Sunday Lunch Buffet, for €9.95, where you not only can eat all that you want, but you receive tea/coffee, and and ice-cream, afterwards, is a big favourite of mine. Highly Recommended.
