Went here for a dinner out with my husband. Was Saturday evening, we did not have a reservation, but it was no problem getting a table. The place became full while we had our dinner.
The interior is very nice, loved the wallpaper in the back and the big spider-lamp.
We had a mixed plate to share and then I had a special - seabream, while my husband had a lamb shank with moroccan couscous. The starter was very tasty, loved the hoummous, and the salami was delicious.
My seabream was just perfect. So tender, so tasty! The best seabream ever!
My husband was very happy with his lamb as well, the plate was empty by the time he finished it.
The portions are big, so when it came to dessert we were so full that could not try it, though the selection was fantastic.
Overall very happy with the dinner and will definetely be back.

We went to Konkan for dinner and ordered the tasting menu - which is several starters and mains to share. The food was delicious, very tasty, and the service was good. We were 3 of us, so I guess our tasting menu was bigger than their standard tasting menu for 2 people, and it was so much food! I was pretty full after starters, and then they brought 4 mains and 3 different naans. We could not finish it - took 2 mains with us home in a takeaway bag and had them for lunch the next day.
Overall very good, and saves you on cooking lunch the next day :)

The Restaurant at Dublin Wine RoomsPosted on 30 April 2012
We went to the Wine Rooms for a dinner before heading to the O2. We booked our table and were seated downstairs in the wine bar, which I actually liked better than the upstairs restaurant - I think there is more character and atmosphere downstairs.
We did not have starters, as the dinner was pretty early and we were not hungry enough, instead we ordered mains and desserts, and of course wine.
The wine was very nice (we ordered something simple which they had by glass).
For the main I had tuna, which was delicious, though next time I will go for a more rare version (it was my own fault to ask for it to be cooked medium-rare). My husband had a duck which he also enjoyed.
As a side dish I asked for a mixed salad, and though it was not on the menu, I was still able to get it.
For the dessert we ordered coffee and 2 desserts, however, only 1 dessert was delivered and no coffee. It seemed that the staff were very busy and probably there was some confusion. We decided not to ask about our second dessert/coffee, as we were running late for the show in O2.
When we got the bill, the non-delivered dessert and coffee were not included.
Overall the food was above my expectations, very tasty and full of flavour, the wine was very nice and we will be back in the Wine Rooms.

We went to Odessa for a dinner on a Saturday night, as they had a very good value early bird. However, when we saw a la carte menu, the early bird was forgotten and we just thought that on a Saturday night we can treat ourselves.
The waiters were very friendly and attentive. The food was tasty: for the starter I had a salmon marinated in soy sauce, and for the main I had a steak - both dishes were delicious, my steak was cooked exactly the way I wanted it.
For my dessert I had a chocolate-orange mousse - lovely and full of flavour.
I will definetely be back to Odessa.

I took my husband here for a birthday dinner. The restaurant is fabulous! Nice decor, lively atmosphere, our waiter was friendly, and the most important, food was fantastic.
For the starter my husband had rabbit tagliatelly and I had salmon rilettes, both dishes were very tasty. For the main I had a steak and my hubby had a pheasant - again, cooked absolutely perfectly. We went for adessert which was also delicious - I had a grilled pineapple.
And I think the prices in this restaurant are reasonable - dishes are not overpriced, portions are good size and you get delicious food.
Definetely will be back again!

We came across this restaurant when we were walking through Temple bar looking for some italian place, as I was craving pasta.
The restaurant is quiet nice (we were seated at the ground level, but there is also downstairs which is more like a bar, I actually like the atmosphere downstairs better).
I had tomato mozzarella salad (it was ok, there was no basil in it, though on the menu it was stated that it is served with basil, and tomatoes were just usual tomatoes, but I guess you can't ask for frangrant beef tomatoes in November), my husband had clamari, which were lovely.
For the main I had pasta with prawns, which was nice, but the portion was huge! My husband had a meat dish (I don't remember, it was either boar of veal), which was delicious! The meat was soft and nice.
We had desserts, which were also good - tiramisu and a chocolate brownie.
The service was good, but a bit slow.
Overall the experience was good and I will go to this place again.

I was in this restaurant with a group of friends, and I don't think I will be back there again.
The food was ok. I had a steak (which was good, cooked exactly as I asked), but that was about it. My mixed salad was rocket with sun-dried tomatoes, no fresh tomatoes or cucumbers (though it's the middle of the summer!). For the starter I had a crab salad, which was ok, but came in a tiny portion on a large plate. We were having group set menu and for the price you pay you would expect a bit more of a starter.
The service was the main thing that put me off this place. Our waiter was all business (no chit-chat), and on my side of the table after people made their starter and main orders he asked for a dessert order straight away. As we realised later, the other side of the table only ordered starters and mains, and when we were brought our desserts, they had to ask for menus to order theirs. One of the girls decided to skip the set menu and order from a la carte, and she was not offered a dessert at all.
Also I asked for a different side dish with my main, and the waiter took this order, however, when the mains arrived, I still had the side that I did not want, and my requested side arrived only later.
Overall impression - pretentious place with bad service and I won't be rushing back here.

This restaurant is an absolutely excellent place. We heard that there is a Pakistanian restaurant opended in Ranelagh, and as we never tried Pakistanian food, were looking forward to visit this place.
The atmosphere was very nice. The staff were friendly, which I think is very important for a restaurant.
I had scallops for starter and a fish for the main, and both were delicious. The food had that wow factor, which makes you finish your dish even if you are full. That happended to my dessert - I was absolutely stuffed, but it was all so tasty, that I could not resist the temptation of having a dessert.
I will definetely be back there and this restaurant now is among my favourite places in Dublin.

We went to Teddy's after Friday shopping in Dundrum.
The place is quiet, very nicely decorated, however, there were no people in - which was strange for a Friday night and brought atmosphere down a little bit.
However, the food was fantastic. I had a fillet steak and my husband had a steak burger - both were very good. My steak was cooked exactly how I wanted it and it was very soft and tasty.
For dessert my husband had a cheesecake, which he liked, and I had a grilled pineapple. Absolutely loved it! First of all, it's a dessert which I have not seen on menus in other places, secondly, it was tasty, and third, it was healthy! :)
Will definetely be back for a steak and to try other desserts, and next time will make sure I'm hungry enough to have a starter as well :)

Went to Dada on a Tuesday night for a dinner with my husband. The restaurant was not empty, but was not too busy either.
I had chicken liver for my starter, which was nice, but the portion was too big for me, so my hubby had to finish it :) He had spicy sausages, which were delicious.
For the main I had a lamb tagine with apricots and walnuts (lamb was very tender and tasty, loved it!), and my husband had a tagine with meatballs - which was also nice, but I liked my lamb much better! :)
We were stuffed after the meal and did not have room for dessert.
My only complaint about this place would be that portions are too big, but I guess it's not really a complaint :)
I gave this place 4 for atmosphere, as I would like to have a bit more light inside - the dim lighting they have is nice, but I would like to see how the dishes look like :)

Was in this place again this week. I absolutely love it! First of all, if you get a table on the first floor, you can choose between a normal table and a low table, where you sit on a lot of cusions, which makes the whole experience very unusual.
The service was very good, the waiters were friendly and we did not have to wait long for our food or for the bill.
The food itself...mmmm...so tasty! But so much! Way too much! :) We ordered 2 different sets, the seafood one and the one with meat - both were very tasty. My personal favourite is calamari rings, but fish and pork belly were also very very tasty.
The selection of dessertd was very impressive (they were different! I don't like when you get the same chocolate brownie, creme brulee and a cheesecake in any restaurant you come to, and here they actually had something that you can't get somewhere else), but unfortunately we did not try them, as were too full from our meal.
A very good place with fantastic food.

Went to Pacino's for a Sunday lunch and had yummi pizzas.
The service was fast, the waiter was very friendly, and the food just delicious.
Would recommend this place to all the pizza-lovers, and I still need to go back to try their pasta! :)

I was in Dobbins on a Saturday night. The restaurant was very busy, but nevertheless they were able to accomodate extra people in our group, as actually we had more people than originally the reservation was made for.
We had an early bird menu, which was an excellent value and a very good choice.
The food was very tasty (had pavlova for dessert and a duck for main)
A very good place for a dinner!

Went to Hugo's for an early dinner on Saturday. We chose from the early bird menu, which I think is a very good value.
I was very impressed by my food - had a mezze platter for a starter and a soth louisiana dish for main - both dishes were very tasty.
The service was good, the interior is beautiful, overall it's a very positive experience.

Went here with several collegues. The food was fantastic! So tasty!
I had seafood both for a starter and for my main, and I can't recommend it enought. Enjoyed my dinner very much and will definetely be back.
However, there was a small drawback - it took a long time to serve our starters and then there was a long break between a starter and a main and a main and a dessert.

The restaurant starts with a wine shop downstairs. You purchase smth like a credit card and then you are given a glass and you are off to wine tasting. The value of this is brilliant - each tasting costs around 1 euro more or less, so for 10 euros you can get 8 - 10 tastings. And tasting portions are bigger than I have expected :)
The idea of tasting is brilliant - once in a wine shop rather that selecting wine by the label you can actually try it and see if you like it. And it's also fun!
After tasting we went to a restaurant upstairs. The service was fast, the food was tasty (oh, their mashed potato is sooooo good!). And dessert lived to the expectations - though I found the selection of desserts a bit boring, my chocolate brownie was delicious.
Liked the place and will definetely be back.

We were in Cedar tree on a Saturday night. The restaurant was pretty busy, which is a good sign :)
We were four of us and ordered 2 mezzes to share - that was too much food! Mezzes are huge, but they are so delicious! Loved hoummus and baba and all the other stuff that we had (don't remember the names, but there was a red pepper spread and some pastries and feta).
As we were too full, we did not have a dessert (though they sounded really nice - not your traditional desserts, but actually something different), but we had some mint tea.
Was pleasantly surprised and impressed that instead of a mint tea bag I had real mint leaves in my tea pot.

This is a very nice restaurant! Impressive choice on the menu and also the quality of food is very good!
The portions are huge. Very huge - I had pork ribs and my portion was 2 racks of ribs + sides. I think with this portion you could feed 4 girls easily. Or 2 guys :)
The desserts are small, but that is probably a good thing - after huge starter and main it's not possible to eat a big dessert.
Overall liked the place a lot, and if I'm in Limerick again will definetely go there!

I rated atmosphere 3 out of 5, as I think the place is too tiny for the amount of people they try to accomodate. The tables are way too close to each other and you can listen to the conversation on your left or on your right. Very difficult to have your own conversation, knowing that everybody can hear it.
Rated service 4 out of 5 as there were only 2 waiters, and we had to wait a bit before we got menus and ordered, but otherwise was good.
Food and value are 5 out of 5 - very tasty!

Yesterday was my first time in Punjab Balti. Went there with a group of friends.
Well, the overall impression is good - the restaurant is nicely decorated and the service was good. However, the food was not as delicious as I have expected - it was good, but not spectacular.
We just just a main course, and I had a fish in spices (sorry, do not remember the name) - it was ok. When I was ordering it, I did not think that I should should order rice with it (kind of assumed that it will come with the fish), and the waiter did not offer it, so that was a bit disappointing, when my fish came and I realised I need something else like rice or naan to eat it.
Did not try the desserts (because no one else in the group did), but the selection looked pretty impressive - not boring banoffi and creme brule, which can be found anywhere, but something actually unsual. Would like to come back to try these desserts!
Also was disappointed that the waiter did not offer us an early bird manu - just noticed it now here on menupages, so we paid for our main nearly as much, as we could have paid for starter, main and a glass of wine!
Overall experience was ok, nice food, but not spectacular.
