Mao Restaurant (Chatham Row)Posted on 16 February 2010
Myself and my friend shared the pumpkin spring rolls and chicken satay starters. Both really yummy. I had a fab curry - can't remember which one and my friend had the chicken stir fry with the crispy fried noodles - again, both delicious and portions were huge. We still managed dessert though - almond and pear cake - really light, perfect ending to a lovely meal. We got the early bird so the 3 courses each and a bottle of wine only cost €75.

This place is really great. I'm from Firhouse but never thought of going here for food until I heard recommendations from friends. I'ts REALLY good value for money. I've had the chicken wings starter, the fajitas and a pizza. The fajitas were served with wedges and presentation was lovely. Pizza came with chips and 3 decent sized delicious dips. So perfect for a casual lunch or hangover fix!

YUMMY. Arrived at 10pm so was worried they would have stopped serving food but no. Had Fish and Chips with pea n mint puree - best chips EVER. Really nicely presented... portions seem small visually but they're the perfect size. My friends had the lamb with dauphinoise potatoes and the burger n chips - both delicious. It was a bit pricey - but more than worth it.

Really big portions - I shared VERY spicy lime and chilli prawn crackers, delicious chicken satays, pumpkin spring rolls and amazing sticky honey ribs for starters and was too stuffed to eat my main - Mango duck noodles which I took away! But still had room for dessert (obviously) - shared the lovely pecan pie and sumptuous chocolate pudding. Good value for money - quick attentive service.

This is one of the best Eddies IMO. Lovely staff and food is consistent. Still think it's a little overpriced but they have deals at the mo - the 10 euro meal - burger, chips and drink/shake is very reasonable but I love the chicken tenders and can't order anything else ever!

SO TASTY. Dreaming of it since I went last Sunday. It instantly cured my hangover - though the (great DJ) music was a bit too loud! Really creative suggested burger menu and you can create your own. I had harissa spiced chicken breast with pineapple, melted goat's cheese and a thick balsamic vinaigrette with rocket and tomato - so good. Shared chips, sweet potato chips, purple coleslaw with beetroot - all really delish. Good range of beers - though I had mine with a cuppa tea! Decor is great - low down coat hooks, board games, Beano menus. LOVED IT!
