Buenos Aires GrillPosted on 18 September 2011
Since visiting Argentina three years ago, I've been looking forward to eating in Buenos Aires Grill so when the menupages.ie deal came up I was delighted. My boyfriend and myself went on Friday night and arrived to a bustling restaurant. We had calamari and the scallops for starters which were both very good. My boyfriend wanted to go for the 18oz rib eye for main but was told it wasn't available which was a bit of a let down, particularly seen as it appears to be a restaurant which prides itself on its steaks. We both ended up going for the 14oz rib eye which were sufficiently big and delicious, living up to those in Buenos Aires itself! Only other disappointment was that when I asked what the 'Argentinian Dessert of the Week' was they said there wasn't one, I then asked for the rhubarb crumble and they didn't have that either. Went for banoffee in the end and the chocolate lava which were both good. Overall, it was a pleasant experience but if I hadn't got such great value with the voucher I would be more disappointed with the unavailability of dishes advertised on the menu!

Antica VeneziaPosted on 12 August 2010
Visited here with my mother and boyfriend for a quick bite to eat. We were attracted by their €10 pizza and pasta deal every Mon to Wed and weren't disappointed. We decided to share a bruschetta for an appetiser and they kindly gave us one each when they normally only serve two as an appetiser. Two of us had the prawn pasta which was tasty and the pizza is good quality also.

AlfiesPosted on 12 August 2010
Was looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful to have lunch with some friends and decided on Alfie's €10 lunch deal. We were all impressed with the food and the service was good also. The appetiser, main course and side all served together is quite attractive and perfect for lunch time as the portions aren't too big. There was a nice buzz around the place too.

Roly's BistroPosted on 04 December 2008
Visited Roly's for the early bird with work colleagues. Was very impressed with the choice of dishes, early bird would be quite good value for the food you get. The fish n' chips were served with newspaper which I found a nice touch. The lamb and veg pie was delicious; perfect hearty meal for a cold winter's evening! Although we were meant to vacate our table by 8.15pm, the staff didn't seem too disgruntled even though it was sometime after that when we left.

The Wild Goose GrillPosted on 04 December 2008
Decided to dine in the Wild Goose last Monday to celebrate my graduation with my family and was happy with my choice overall. The restaurant was quite busy for a Monday night! The waiters were very friendly and the interior is lovely. The soup of the day was white bean which was perhaps a bit strange but my scallops for starter were the highlight. There was good choice for the mains including pheasant which was good (except for the chicken liver accompanying it). The wine list was very good also. My parents could have perhaps done with a side order with their mains but were satisfied after the nice desserts. Will be visiting again!

TribecaPosted on 24 April 2008
Have to say I'm a fan of Tribeca! Brought my parents here this evening; they didn't want a huge dinner or anything so thought the sandwiches or burgers would suit. I got the Mexican burger which was very good. Haven't ate here for a later dinner yet but always find the staff friendly and the menu plentiful. Would agree that its probably a bit cramped, unless you get the window seats. Will be definitely eating here again soon!

Milano (Dawson Street)Posted on 21 February 2008
Myself and my friend wanted a nice dinner and somewhere to sit and chat for a while so decided to try Milano. For a Wednesday night the restaurant was very busy but we only had to wait 10 minutes for a table. The selection of pizzas is great so it took a while to decide on one - in the end I went for the Fiorentina (egg, spinach & olives) and was satisfied. Pizzas are good value and a nice size. Only negative point was the noise level in the restaurant.
