Blue Cafe BarPosted on 08 September 2012
Despite a 40 min wait for a table, during which time we enjoyed a glass of wine at the bar, my husband and I had a very enjoyable evening at Blue. The staff were friendly and helpful, though they seemed understaffed as there was a long wait for taking orders and it was difficult to get their attention when you wanted anything. In saying that the food was excellent and there was a great atmosphere. I agree it seems to be the place to go in Skerries - it looked like half the town was there!!!

Borzalino RestaurantPosted on 08 September 2012
A hidden gem in drogheda, we weren't sure what to expect when we arrived but the inside was nice and the staff were friendly and helpful! We thought it was very good value and thoroughly enjoyed our food. My husband and I had three courses; all of which arrived in good time, hot, fresh and very tasty! :-)

LJ's Bar and Restaurant @ Louis Fitzgerald HotelPosted on 26 May 2012
We enjoyed our meal here but it was a good thing we were not in a rush as we were kept waiting for everything. Service wasn't great, though to be fair they were very busy and seemed a little under staffed. The chicken I had was nice, my husband had the pork which he said was 'just ok'.

RelishPosted on 26 May 2012
Had lunch with a friend here, had a beautiful low-fat chicken wrap which was lovely and light in the hot weather. Had to have a little something sweet so went for the apple crumble icecream which is just delicious - highly recommended.

Tara Lounge at CityNorth Hotel M1Posted on 21 May 2012
The husband and I stopped in on the way home from work on a spur of the moment / in no humour to cook. Good atmosphere, really great food (highly recommend the chicken tikka), the staff are always very helpful and we really enjoyed ourselves.

Delighted the beautiful weather is back and I can finish off my walk with lunch in BT. Had a beautiful lunch outside on the terrace, it's great to be able to! Love the cappuccino here - topped off with crumbled flake, such a treat!!! :-)

Cactus Jacks (Middle Abbey St)Posted on 20 May 2012
Group of 15 of us had a birthday meal for my husband here. Great atmosphere and the staff couldn't do enough. Some people thought the starters were on the small side. We shared the faijitas for two and they were great - really tasty! Dessert menu was a little limited but they have a great kids menu.
We'll defo be back. All in all a great meal!!! :-)

My partner and I stopped for lunch here midweek. The place was quite busy but we were not left waiting for anything. Food was fresh and tasty and we really enjoyed it. Will have to pop in to try out their dinner menu sometime soon! :-)

Fate Restaurant (Bettystown)Posted on 31 July 2011
Service as always was faultless, great value with 5 courses for €19.99 (although two of these are drinks - wine or soft drink and tea or coffee to finish). Beautiful views of the sea. Very nice atmosphere and they seem to make an effort to seat couples away from families which is nice. :-)

The Hanora D RestaurantPosted on 30 April 2011
Good value, tasty food, nice relaxed atmosphere and good service. I had a melon starter, salmon for mains and apple crumble for dessert. The starter was very simple and basic but the other two courses more than made up for that. Th salmon was lovely and the dessert was just delicious!!!

Had a quick bite to eat here midweek. HUGE portions, great food and lovely staff! What more could you ask for? Good value? €11.95 for 2 courses. I think we'll be repeat customers! :-)

Castellina ChiantiPosted on 30 July 2010
I still love Castellina Chianti - couldn't recommend it enough! Their early bird is great value, we've never been disappointed by the food, it's always good hearty portions packed with flavor. If you haven't tried them yet - what are you waiting for!

Wrights Cafe BarPosted on 29 July 2010
Wrights do a great cinema deal - 2 courses and ticket for movie at swords = 21 euro, I thought it was really good value, the food was super and service was prompt except when we needed the bill and were waiting to pay (it was like they forgot us once we'd eaten, which was a shame) We had a great night out anyway. Highly recommended!

The Gallops Bar and RestaurantPosted on 17 April 2010
The food was great, there was no atmosphere to speak of and although the place was pratically empty the service wasn't good. I'd go back for the grub but not for a special meal.

Tyrrellspass Castle RestaurantPosted on 06 February 2010
As a cheap and cheerful pit stop, it filled the gap and was fine. There really wasn't any atmosphere to speak of, the food seemed pre cooked, especially given how quick it arrived (which I suppose could be a good point but not when you consider it could only have been a reheat to be ready that fast). Portions were good.
It is not far off the moterway and as I said - for a pit stop - it is a good location, easy to find and better than fast food.

Thunder Road CafePosted on 07 March 2009
Avoid at all costs!
Have been before and thought it was ok but when we went the other night it was terrible!!! We waited for 30 minutes after getting menus and had to ask a waiter to take our order. Starters were ok but we were waiting a long time for them, I had the chicken enchillada and they were terrible, very dry plain chicken in wraps with squirty cheese on top and a bit of lettuce on the side. Really gross. My partner had a burger which he said was ok but the chips that went with it were horrible. What a waste of a night out. Will NEVER go back!

Roseville Rooms Restaurant @ Faithlegg House HotelPosted on 16 February 2009
Excellent, service was prompt, food was fantastic. Had soup and rattatouille to start, salmon and chicken for mains and then creme brulee and apple crumble for desert. Not a scrap was left on our plates - truely a treat for the tastebuds!
Stay overnight if you can - the Faithlegg experience is not one to be missed!!!

The Cottage BistroPosted on 16 February 2009
Possibly the best restaurant we have ever been to! A lovely laid back, homely atmosphere, nothing was a problem and we were never waiting for a thing. Had soup to start - it was piping hot and just the right consistancy, absolutely beautiful. I had the lemon Sole and my partner had steak - I could not do it justice in words; mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm delicious, mouthwatering, seculent and unbelieveably tasty! We were so full but when we saw the tempting desert menu we could not help ourselves. Sticky toffee pud and apple and toffee cake . . . . still living on the memory! Don't consider - just go! You won't regret it!!!!!!!
We will be back - thanks!

Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK Liffey Valley)Posted on 05 October 2008
Yummy!
Food was great. We tried the spicy Broad bean starter and thought it was super, served like nuts (i know it sounds strange but we enjoyed them) - small portion but for less than €3 what do you expect! The place was packed but well staffed so we weren't waiting long for anything.
My partner had a Beef Cheese Burger and I had a Chicken Burger. We got two sides of fries but I hardly touched mine as there was so much in the burger! The buns were seaseme seed and looked homemade, plenty of fresh salad and the salsa was tasty! The fries were chunky home cut and they were good!!!
No dessert menu though : ( Nevermind - we were full and happy leaving. Think the bill came to €35 altogether(with drinks) which I thought was ok!
