Al BoschettoPosted on 18 February 2011
Went today for lunch with 11 work colleagues booked in advance for lunchtime just to be sure. We were greeted with big smiles on the way in by the staff. Our waiter was attentive and patient. The Lasagne and chips were on special which is what I had and after reading some previous reviews I have to say I totally disagree as it was totally delicious and full of flavour and piping hot, it came with skinny chips perfect for adding into the dish with the lasagne. None of my colleagues had any complaints. There was a lovely range of food. Some of the others had fettucini, pizzas and the fish was Seabass. There was no shortage of water on the table which you don't often get and prices were really reasonable. All in all an enjoyable lunch. Can't wait to go back and try the Thy Salad.

Fire RestaurantPosted on 18 February 2011
Lovely evening attended by 8 work colleagues and myself. When we arrived at first we were the first in at about 6.30 but by 7pm the restaurant was starting to fill up. The restaurant is really big with high ceilings and quite different from the norm. Food was delicious, the goats cheese starter is to die for, For mains I had the steak which was cooked to perfection along with some chunky chips and then I had the brownie dessert. Despite the fact I was stuffed to the gills I still managed to finish the dessert !! The staff were very attentive and quick to notice when drinks were running low. A couple of people in the group made changes to the dishes they ordered for example no mushrooms and the staff were quite happy to facilitate their requests.

TGI Friday (Blanchardstown)Posted on 17 August 2010
After a night out a bit of stodge was well in order for Sunday lunch. The only problem is this place is always packed though there were quite a few free table we had a good 20 minute wait. There is great value at only €15 for 2 courses, either a starter and main or main and desert. To start all 3 of us opted for wings but chose different types and sauces so it was good to share. I then went for a Burger which was really tasty with plenty of garnish and chips, my friends both chose the chicken ball type burger again with garnish and chips. We got side dips aswell and 3 beers all for €60. The staff were friendly once you could get their attention but overall the food was good and it was a good experience.

Le Bon CrubeenPosted on 17 August 2010
As a pre theatre treat we decided to go to this restaurant as its only around the corner from the Abbey. I had checked out most of the reviews none of which have anything bad to say so and I'm the same. We did book a table just to be on the safe side as its a fastly growing popular restaurant. The staff were extremely friendly and obliging from the moment we walked in. There were quite a few people there though it wasn't packed but it was Monday night after all. Starters are no more than €7.50 and mains no more than €12.50. I started with the Blue cheese, pear and walnut salad of which there was plenty but could have done with some dressing and my friend had the fish cakes which was also delicious. Then I had the low calorie chicken option of which there was loads of chicken and my friend had the lamb which fell of the bone. Every bit was devoured. Including 3 glasses of wine and the meal the bill was €55 which is great value for money. Would defo eat here again.

The Yacht (Clontarf)Posted on 19 May 2010
After a long leisurely stroll along the seafront in Clontarf my girlfriends and I decided to top it off with a some food in the Yacht. I was a bit apprehensive from other reviews that we would have a long wait but when we arrived around 5pm the long queues has diminished though the pub was fairly packed. I decided on the Beef Lasagne and salad and at €12.50 I thought it was a bit steep compared to other places around but there was plenty of food for the price the salad was heaped high and the lasagne was delicious. There were a lot of younger lads coming in and their dinners were enormous. Plenty of variety for the carvery and infact real value for money. Enjoyable meal and the chefs were very attentive to each persons request.

The Twelfth LockPosted on 15 May 2010
Have frequented this restaurant/bar many times and food wise have never been disappointed. The place is always crowded and lucky for the people only coming in for drink the diners tend to eat and go as its often very very hard to get a table. I had the cajun chicken burger which was lovely and came with a side salad and fries for only a tenner. My partner had the beef stirfry, quite a large plate really tasty and only twelve quid. This place is particularly beautiful in the summer when you can sit out on the terrace and catch a few rays. Defo worth a visit but dont be put off by the full table the most you ever have to wait is only a few minutes.

El Bahia Moroccan RestaurantPosted on 09 October 2007
Really liked this restaurant. Food was fab, not too pricey. The meat is slow cooked to perfection and melts in your mouth. There was a bit of a wait for the main courses but it does specify that there may be a wait on the menu due to the way they slow cook the meat. Only problem ! only 1 toilet.
