Ate here lastnight with my partner and two others. The food was gorgeous. I could not fault it. Staff were very friendly and polite and service was excellent. €35 for a two course meal which is a bit pricey but well worth it. The restaurant wasn't too busy. I will definately be returning.

Ate here for dinner on a Saturday night. The restaurant was very quiet. We opted for the al a carte menu. We were very satifised with our food. Would highly recommend the Thai Green curry. Will definately be returning. Good value for money too!

Ate here with my boyfriend before my 30th birthday party. Portions were just the right size. I had the scallops for starter and risotto of the day for main. The food was impeccable. Couldn't fault it at all. Place was very busy. There was a great atmosphere and a pianist playing well known songs in the background. Would definately recommmend this restaurant for a special occasion.

I ate here for lunch with some friends. Its was the first time to eat here for two of us. We went for the lunch menu, on which there was a good selection to choose from. The staff were very polite and patient as one of the girls was running late. Cannot fault the food or service. Would highly recommend the green curry for main and the brownie for dessert. I have already booked a table to return.

I ate here with 3 friends on a girlie night out. The restaurant is very bright. They could do with maybe dimming the lights a bit. I had a Chicken Jal Frezi. It could have been a slight more hotly but it was delicious. Prawns for starter were also very tasty. We went for the set menu, three courses for 2 people for €45. The house wine was Chardonnay, which we don't drink but we were able to pay the difference for a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. When we got our bill and paid, the waiter took it from us and we were due to get change that we were then going to add to for a tip but our change never made it back to the table. This put a bit of a dampener on the meal. I will return though as the food was very good.

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday. It was a last minute booking. We were lucky to get the reservation as the restaurant was packed out. There is a lovely area to sit, when you walk in, with a fireplace and comfortable chairs while you wait for your table to be ready and to sip on a pre-dinner drink which you can then take to your table with you.
The food was absolutely delicious with good sized portions. Will definately be returning.

I ate here on Saturday night with my boyfriend. From what we seen of the restaurant we loved but we did not get to see much as we were seated to the left just inside the door. I cannot compliment the food enough. It was exquisite. I had scallops for starter and my boyfriend had the duck, which I would both recommend and cod and lamb for mains! The waiter that served our meal to us was very polite and friendly. The only thing that put a dampener on the night was the waitress who was serving us as she was very unfriendly and didn't smile once. I will definitely be returning to Il Segreto in the future!

I went here with my boyfriend for his birthday on a Sunday evening so the restaurant was pretty quiet and there was only one waiter working but the service was brilliant. I cannot fault the food. It was delicious. Great set menu also if you wanted to opt for it. Will definately be returning. Recommend the Blackened Salmon and the Chocolate Brownie.

Absolutely amazing. Very romantic, soothing music, intimate lighting and delectable food. The little extras, pre-starter and the sorbet are a nice touch. This place is a little gem. I would recommend the Chicken Stroganoff for main course and truffles for dessert. The waiter explained the menu to us and also each dish we ordered. The chef came out when we were finished our meal to ask how the food was. I will definitely be returning. Well worth the price you pay.

I ate here for the first time yesterday with my boyfriend. We went for the 3 courses for €24.50 menu which had a great choice. The food was lovely and the service was prompt even though they were very busy. There were a lot of families with young children there. I would recommend the choclate brownie or cheesecake for dessert!

Went here with another couple before Christmas. The service was not great as our table was not ready when we arrived for another half hour, we ordered drinks when we got our table and were waiting another half hour before we ordered our food. One of the man courses was forgotten which arrived after another 10mins but they took it off the bill. I am putting the bad service down to the pre-Christmas rush. Would like to return again as the food was lovely.

Ate here with a group of friends. 8 people in total. A celebratory dinner. I had the Tomato and Mozzerella Salad for starter which I could not fault. It was delicious. My main course wasn't the best. Everybody else had good things to say. The pizzas were huge and delicious. Its a nice restaurant for an informal dinner.

I went here for a hen party meal. There was 10 of us. We had the Tippenyaki. The food and entertainment whilst the food was cooked was great. The food was absolutely gorgeous. We all had the same vegetarian starter. Soup followed by a vegetable stir-fry with Japanese Banana (Potato). We all chose the meat/fish ingredient of our main course. The chef and waiters played a guitar and sang songs for us towards the end of the night. I will definately return to this restaurant more than once. Especially to sample the A La Carte menu.

I ate here with a group of 13 people total for a birthday dinner. The atmosphere was great and the service was excellent. The food was also lovely. The only bad thing I have to say about it were that the portions were a bit on the small side. I would like to go back and sample some more of the menu!

I ate here on New Years Eve with my boyfriend and 4 other couples. Because we were a group we were had a set menu with limited choice than the full menu. Most of the group had the Antipasti plate with the duck liver parfait for starter which they did not like. My boyfriend had the West Coast Crab Salad and I had the Mushroom Risotto for starters both of which we enjoyed and would definately recommend.
Everyone was happy with their main courses. I would recommend the Irsh Free Range Chicken breast. The chicken just melted in my mouth.
I found this restaurant to be slightly over priced for the food that we got. The service was excellent though.

I have eaten at this restaurant twice. The first time was for my brothers birthday. There was ten of us that night. The food was lovely and portions were big. The only bad thing I have to say is that after 10.30, Karoke is set up and the place gets a wee bit loud for my liking. I returned a second time for the lunch menu on a Sunday and the restaurant was nice and peaceful and food and service were brilliant. If I was returning in the evening again I would make sure I miss the Karoke.

I made a last minute booking in this restaurant for a Saturday night for four people. On arrival we did not like the table we were shown to and asked to be moved to another table. Although it was set up for some other people they allowed us to sit there. The service was quick and good. Food was absolutely gorgoeus and price came to about €200 for 3 starters, 4 mains, two desserts, a bottle of champagne and a good few beers. Only thing I have to say thats anyway bad is that we felt very overdressed for the place.

I ate here with my boyfriend last weekend. Our first impressions as we walked in were good but our table was so close to the table beside us it was like we were having dinner with the people sitting at that table, a few jokes were made. We found the service very good although in the time it took for us to have our main course and dessert; the couple sitting beside us were still waiting on their mains! The food was gorgeous and it was not to expensive working out at 120euro for three courses and a bottle of wine. Will definitely go back! I would also like to recommend the crab and prawn spring rolls!

I ate here with my boyfriend. We both had the warm chicken and mushroom salad for starter, I had the Parsley and Lemon Crushed Cod and my boyfriend had the Barbarie Duck for mains. The food was absolutely gorgeous. There were no complaints. Service was excellent and I would definitely recommend dessert. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

I ate here with my boyfriend on a Saturday night. We had no booking made, just walked in. We were seated at a table for two. We were rushed through our meal, plates being taken away when the last mouthful was gone which I was not very impressed with. I had heard alot about this restaurant and it was recommended by alot of people. I was not impressed with my dining there and doubt I will return.

Myself and a friend ate here before a show in the Olympia. The pre-theatre menu was there to order from but there was a greater choice from the main menu. I had the crab claws for starter and lasagne for main course. Also we shared a bottle of wine. The food was lovely although crab claws were a bit too oily. Other than that couldn't fault the food.
Only downside was with the table we sat at. It was a table for two and it was so close to another table for two beside us that it felt like eating dinner with strangers.
