We also went on Citideal voucher and having read reviews on this page were a bit apprehensive. We were very pleasantly surprised - the place was full with a great buzzy atmosphere. The service was attentive and the food was absolutely delicious. The chicken liver starter was really tasty and beautifully presented. I had the Bream with a side order of green veg - the fish was perfectly cooked and the veg was excellent. My husband had the pork belly which he said was really good. I had the creme brulee which was also very good. We followed with Irish coffees which again were excellent - no scrimping! We would be very happy to go back and definitely recommend it!

What a great find - we had the early bird which is 2 courses for €20. I had the burger followed by creme brulee and my friend had the chicken followed by the fruit crumble - all were delicious and there was plenty of food. Even though we were there early there was a lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

Brookwood Restaurant
141 Baggot Street Lower, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I had booked this a few times for colleagues who had said it was great so I recommended to a group of friends that we try it. The place was busy and atmosphere seemed good. The service at first seemed good until it actually came to serving the food - they brought out 5 out of 6 starters and the 6th one didn't arrive until everyone else was finished. When they brought the steaks they didn't bring any sides - they had to be reminded about 4 times and even then we didn't get them all. Our waitress wasn't terribly happy when we asked (nicely) for the manager. In fairness he was very nice and apologetic but did admit that they were having problems with all tables. He did reduce our bill which was appreciated and also gave us a drink on the house. Our steak wasn't great either - we'd got a rib eye for 2 which was sinewy and full of gristle - very disappointing. Hopefully it was just a bad night but I'm not sure I'd be rushing back!

We were using a deal pages voucher for our trip but had already heard great reviews. We weren't disappointed! We both got the skillet bread to start which was amazing. The steak that followed was beautifully cooked and extremely tender. The onion rings are a must for anyone visiting. The girl serving us was extremely pleasant without being in our faces. Overall great food, great service, great atmosphere (the place was buzzing) and great value! Will definitely return

Cliff Townhouse
22 St Stephens Green, Dublin 2, St Stephens Green, Dublin

our group of 36 booked the private dining room for our Christmas lunch. All I can say is WOW! The food was really good, there was plenty of it (which for set Xmas lunches is quite unusual), service was excellent and the atmosphere was fantastic. What a great party venue with a stunning view and such a central location. I can't say anything bad about our experience

The Chop House Gastro Pub
2 Shelbourne Road, City Centre South, Dublin

six of us had lunch here. We wanted steaks that weren't on the lunch menu which was absolutely no problem to the chef. The steaks were amazing and cooked exactly as ordered. Starters, sides and desserts were also absolutely beautiful as were the fantastic selections of gin! Service was attentive, friendly and extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend and can't wait to return.

Brasserie Sixty6
66/67 Great South Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Food was gorgeous - the short rib of beef fell off the bone and was served with crispy sweet potato fries and corn on cob - probably one of the nicest beef dishes I've ever been served in a restaurant. My husband had the rotisserie chicken and said it was also nicest chicken he'd ever had. Our starters were lovely too - deep fried goats cheese and lamb meatballs - and the bread was so good too. Service was attentive and friendly and a lovely buzzy atmosphere. We'll definitely be back

Rolys Bistro
7 Ballsbridge Terrace, Dublin, Ballsbridge, Dublin

We ate here last night on a menupages voucher. The service was great, the atmosphere buzzing but most importantly the food was absolutely beautiful. My husband had the lamb pie for mains and reckons its the nicest pie he's ever had with loads of meat. I had a rib eye steak cooked to perfection and with so much flavour. Desserts were incredible and loads of choices. Will definitely be back!

Buenos Aires Grill

Wow! We went on an Internet deal and thought we mightn’t get the best service/food because of it. We couldn't have been more wrong! The food was just amazing. We both had empanadas to start which were so tasty and a perfect size portion. Then we both had rib eye steaks. I can't actually think of enough adjectives to describe how good they were - cooked to perfection and definitely the best steak I've ever tasted. The service was very pleasant and efficient. I couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough. Can't wait to go back

New Good Year Chinese Restaurant
1st Floor Ballyowen Castle Shopping Centre, West Dublin, Lucan, Dublin

Myself and my husband ate here last night. We have been living very close to it for years and have never eaten in the restaurant before. It was recently taken over by new management and the take away service had improved so much we thought we'd try the restaurant. We weren't disappointed! The service was exceptional - very friendly, efficient and helpful. The food arrived promptly, very hot and very tasty. At the moment they are running a deal - starter, main & tea/coffee for €15. They also gave us a complimentary galss of wine with the meal. I would gladly recommend the new good year to anyone - great value and great friendly service.

7 Girls from work went for lunch with great expectations. Starters arrived - I had the crostine which had gone cold. My friend had the pork rillette which wasn't very nice - accompanied by stale bread. I then ordered the chicken skewers. They were tasty enough at first - covered in a nice sauce. Unfortunately the sauce masked the unsatisfactory chicken from view. They were far from apologetic and as I tried to play it down at the table (the girls were irate) they felt that all was ok. When ordering desserts they had run out of some and were slow about bringing them all out together. When the bill came they couldn't understand why I didn't want to pay for my chicken - they did take it off the final bill but were somewhat reluctant to do so. Basically wouldn't recommend to anyone!!

Pichet
14/15 Trinity Street, Dublin , City Centre South, Dublin

26 of us went for our Christmas lunch. The food and wine were really beautiful but what really made it for us was the service. The staff were exceptional - both efficient and pleasant - they couldn't do enough for us. They didn't try rushing us out (even though we stayed later than we should have), they were so attentive - all in all probably the best service I have ever received in a Dublin restaurant. I would definitely recommend Pichet.

Camden Kitchen
3A Camden Market, Grantham Street, Dublin 2, Camden Street, Dublin

12 of us went for lunch - very cramped sitting downstairs. Lunch menu very limited and out of about 6 choices I think there was foie gras in 3 of them. I had what I can only describe as a medley of food - duck confit, pate, blue cheese & salad. It was lovely but if they hadn't brought out some bread I would have been starving. Friends had the omelette which looked nice but again very small. Nice spot but I'd say it would be better for dinner than lunch.

Dax Restaurant

Went on a girls lunch with work colleagues. The lunch menu was really nice, the service very attentive and friendly. All our food was exceptional but the cheese plate was one of the best I've ever seen! Well worth a visit!

Marios (Ranelagh)
39 Ranelagh Village, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin

My father, sister and I went to Marios for lunch last Friday. I've been loads of times before and really enjoyed it but it has completely changed. My dad ordered soup followed by the burger. I ordered a prawn risotto and my sister ordered a chicken caeser sandwich. The soup arrived fine. When my dad was finished the soup for about 15 mins we had to call the waiter to get him to clear the bowl. Then we waited another 15 minutes with no sign of our mains. When we called the waiter he was so rude but told us it was on the way. When it finally arrived the waiter said it took so long because that's how long it takes to cook a burger. Now I'm no chef but it never takes about 40 minutes to cook a tiny burger. Although they obviously were actually cooking it for that long - you should have seen it. A dried up bullet of meat arrived with about 10 chips - rotten! My sister's sandwich looked nice but again with about 10 chips. My risotto had about 4 prawns it it that were inedible they were that long cooked. I know they now do a special lunch menu for very reasonable prices but surely its only reasonable if the food is nice and served quickly. Will never go back!
