Had a voucher. Staff and the service is great. Used to be Thai only, now offer an Indian menu too which is not a good sign. Not sure a restie should try and do both. Duck Noodle soup and red curry were good. Drunken noodles average.

Darwins
80 Aungier Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

1st time in Darwins. V impressed. Excellent service and attention. Went for the steaks (rib eye and fillet) and were very impressed. A little on the pricey side for us but it was a treat and a very good one at that. Would recommend.

Beeftro - Dundrum
Pembroke District, Dundrum Town Centre , South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin

Steak is just OK not superb & not worth the price. Don\'t know if it\'s because of location but I found it too pricey. Not a great choice of starters imho. Chicken wings sauce is prob to hot for most. Front of house girl is v good.

The Bull & Castle and F.X. Buckley Steakhouse

Nice place. Food is good, but still think it is on pricey side.

Jewel in the Crown (South William Street)
5 South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Had a nice meal with friends. Waiter seemed a bit clueless but was helpful and the food did not take long to arrive thankfully. Would be good to be asked would we like drinks before taking food order.

Greens Restaurant
Leopardstown Inn, Brewery Road, Leopardstown, Dublin

Service was not great on the night we visited. A number of things we asked for eg. water, we had to ask more than once for. Food was great though, but it ain't cheap.

The Arch Bistro
Above the Glenside Pub, Landscape Road, South Dublin, Churchtown, Dublin

Enjoyable meal with friends. Restaurant v busy which was good to see. They now have a full licence and have introduced craft beers alongside the usual long necks which means one can't get pints from downstairs no more.

Taste of Brazil, Cozinha Brasileira
32 Parliament St, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Great nite in Taste of Brazil we were a large party and were v well taken care of. Our waiter said he'd only started working in the restaurant but you wouldn't know it, he was v good. Chef even sent out complimentary starters for those of us who might have still been hungry after the main course. The passion fruit mousse dessert was one of the nicest desserts I've ever tasted. Gorgeous. Drank the "Skol" beer, complimented the grub v nicely.

Jewel in the Crown (South William Street)

Food was good but was pretty sure 'early bird' deal was to include tea or coffee but waiter said No. Anybody know for sure, that is disappointing if it should have been included.

Meghna Tandoori
8-12 Terenure Place, Dublin 6, Terenure, Dublin

Had beautiful meal for 2 using a voucher in this restaurant. Food was superb. A couple of very pleasant staff. We ended up ordering a little bit over the voucher value and so paid that smallish bill with cash but no change was returned. We would have left that change anyway but only negative in what was a lovely night. Restaurant was quiet but we were there earliesh.

Coach Lane Restaurant @ Donaghy's Bar
1-2 Lord Edward Street, Sligo Town, Sligo

Had an enjoyable family meal on sunday night. Overall it was a good experience, the staff were v good. I still think it is a little on the pricey side but most everyone at our table thought their food was v good. There was a starter special of black pudding tartlet with scallops which I thought didn't work all that great, interesting idea, but for me poor choice. The chowders were v good though as was the stuffed Portebello mushrooms.

Sawadee Thai
94 Terenure Road East, Dublin 6, Dublin 6w, Terenure, Dublin

Just in from our 'voucher visit' to this gem of a restaurant in Terenure. We had a great experience. The food was top notch, I had the duck with chilli coconut, my wife had a green chicken curry. The best duck I have ever had and so so much. Extremely generous with the portion. The service was superb, plenty of staff, your glass of water was never empty. We will be back asap (took note of their early bird deal which is almost as good as the menupages voucher deal).

The Wild Boar
Stepaside Village, Dublin 18, Stepaside, Dublin

Took advantage of one of the menupages deals to check out this place. Had never been. Must say v impressed with the layout. Really like the bar in between the boxtree and the wild boar. None of us were sure why there are apparently 2 restaurants. Both seemed to be serving the same menu?. Anyway we were in the wild boar to the right. Very pleasant. 3 of the 4 of us plumped for the rib eye and were not disappointed. The triple cooked chips are obviouslt a speciality. The crab starter was unbelievably tasty, seemed the lime gave it a nice kick. I could not finish the crumble at the end which is a good sign that we had got plenty. All in all great place, great food. Would recommend.

Nandos (Dundrum)
Sandyford Road, Dundrum Town Centre, South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin

I was there mid afternoon so it was quiet. The waiters were v attendent and quick to explain how the place worked (first time there). Am I right in thinking the prices on the menu do NOT include VAT?, that is ridiculous. Chicken wings, some strips with mash, sweetcorn, fries and 1 coke cost more than 20 Euro. I could not believe the cost of what we got which was not great. I don't plan on returning anytime soon.

Cortina’s Mexican Restaurant
The Pembroke District, Dundrum Town Centre, South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin

Lovely restaurant in terms of aesthetics. A little bit on the pricey side for what you get, especially the drinks. I would recommend seriously looking at the price of the Margaritas. The Nachos starter (you can have it with chicken or steak) is well overpriced for what you get.

Eden Bar & Lounge
Grange Road, Rathfarnham, Dublin

Myself and my wife go to the Eden regularly for pub grub. While the service is not spectacular it is after all a pub and a big one at that. There must be 4/5 dining areas. One thing we never complain about is the food. The chicken stir fry is out of this world. The Chicken Provencal comes a close second. They are also v kid friendly and happy to have them up to a certain time.

Alexis Bar And Grill
17 / 18 Patrick Street, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

Was here sat nite last, there were 4 of us. Service was dreadful, yes it was busy but no excuse in my opinion. Our waiter started to pass the buck with 'it's not my fault' type lines. What a load of crap. 3 of us had the fish n chips special and it was v good hence the 3 stars for food. But I had a salad for starter, it cost something like 8 Euro, it had 2 tomatoes, a small bit of rocker and a rasher. Eddie Hobbs eats your heart out.

Ballinteer House
Ballinteer Avenue, Dublin 16, Ballinteer, Dublin

Quick and convenient place to get a decent meal. Carvery during the day can be hit and miss. They have a new chef and he is no doubt keen to make an impression, very talkative chap who is proud of what he serves. The menu in the evening is basic but there are some decent meals on it. Service is good.

The Cedar Tree
11a St Andrews Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Have been to the Cedar Tree many times, especially for their 'early bird' before a film or pub. The food is oh so tasty and great great value. You really feel every meal has been just prepared for you seconds earlier. A real hidden gem right in the heart of Dublin.

Baan Thai (Leopardstown)
Central Park, Block P, Dublin 18, Leopardstown, Dublin

Excellent for lunch. Last time there had the duck with fresh chillies, to die for. Service could be better but generally food makes up for it.

India Gate
1st Floor 26b Nutgrove Shopping Centre, South Dublin, Rathfarnham, Dublin

This is my local takeaway, have tried many of the dishes on the menu and have not been disappointed. If u like creamy dishes the tandoori butter chicken is gorgeous. The Baltis are v good too.
