I love the sushi in Yamamori and it is usually my choice when I visit, however I have also tried some of the other dishes on the menu and found them equally good. Staff are also friendly and there is always a nice atmosphere in the place

We visited the place on Sunday on or way to Bruce Springsteen concert in the RDS. The restaurant was very very busy but we got a table straight away. It took a while to have our order takenas the staff seemed more interested on clearing more tables to get new people in. The food wasn't special, quite plain and flavourless, overpriced, and on top of that a 10% service charge on a table of 2! not with that kind of service i am afraid!

Cafe Seven

I went for a coffee and a cake during an afternoon of shopping and wasnt; too impressed, very crowded place, far too many tables for the size of it and well overprized!

Royal Plaza
Meakstown, North Dublin, Finglas, Dublin

We visit this restaurant quite a lot as it is very close to our house and we have never had a bad meal there. Last time we both went for the early bird menu, €16.90 for starter, main, ice-cream and coffee, very good value. I find the staff a bit of a hit and miss, i dont think they are rude, as it has been said here, i just think they are not chatty and smiley but they always treated us well.

Bar Italia
26 Blooms Lane , Lower Ormond Quay, City Centre North, Italian Quarter, Dublin

I have visited bar Italia in several occasions, I love their Risotto alla Pescatora, really yummy. The portion sizes are a bit on the small side though and their wine list is not very good. The staff are always very attentive and there is usually a good atmosphere in the place. Good value for money in general

Buenos Aires Grill
Unit 2 Castle Way, Golden Lane, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

What really really lets this place down is the service, the food is very good, the selection of argentinian wines is fantastic, and the deco is nice and modern with plenty of room in between tables. But they really need to work on their floor staff, we visited on a Monday evening, there were at least 5 waitresses (counting 2 girls behind the bar) but they didnt seem to know what they were doing, just hoovering around us like robots, we didn't see a single smile in the almost two hours we were there, when visiting a southamerican restaurant you expect to find some of the charming of their people but certainly you are not going to find it on this place. A piece of advice, change your staff and you will have a winner!!!

101 Talbot
Talbot Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

We went there for an early bird menu last Tuesday, we had been there a few times before and a couple of years ago it used to be a nice place to go for an informal meal. Nowadays things have changed in a bad way. Our starters were just ok, nothing special, but one of the starters arrived to the table around 10 minutes after the other one. I am talking of a table of two here, and no explanation was given by the staff. On the main courses I had chicken, the potatoes served with it tasted like they were cooked three days before. Service wasn't the friendliest either... not impressive!!!
