Have been to this restaurant twice before and have never been disappointed with the food. Our last visit was on Sunday evening, we were 2 adults and our 11 year old child. Once again the food was excellent, simple but extremely tasty. We complimented the chef as we were leaving. The rest of our experience however wasn’t so good. It was a fresh evening and the restaurant was uncomfortably cold. We were seated down the back on a couch held together by red tape! The chairs were something we had in school 20 years ago! Hard and uncomfortable. This restaurant needs a complete overhaul. It looked unkempt, unclean and uncared for. Staff were dressed in their street clothes which I felt looked unprofessional. I believe the owners have opened another eatery around the corner. Perhaps they have just taken their eye off this one temporarily. I think with a little TLC Coppinger row could be great .

WHAT A HIDDEN GEM ! Place was buzzing and after only 5 min wait at the bar we got our table . Ate here for the first time last night and I must say I was very impressed .Our food was superb, freshly cooked and full of flavors.( ps.the Crab Meat lasagna is amazing ) We were seated in the wine and piano bar which i was hopping. The pianist was very talented and everyone seemed to enjoy his easy playing. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion as the staff were extremely professional and helpful. Will definitely be returning soon and bring some friends with me.

The French Paradox Wine Shop & Wine Bar
53 Shelbourne Road, Dublin 4, Ballsbridge, Dublin

Stumbled across this little French bistro in donnybrook recently and we were pleasantly surprised. One can hardy swing a cat in it as its so tiny. That's the ground floor. Upstairs there is extra seating bit I think they only open in the evening. 3 of us sat around a small table and were served the most delicious French bread. We had an antipasto mixed plate which had a little bit too much salad to make it work. I was introduced to a white Beaujolais wine which I never knew existed. It was delicious! I was able to buy one to bring home too. A lovely quaint place with lots of interesting wines on offer, what more could you want ?

Fade Street Social - The GastroBar
4-6 Fade Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

We tried this restaurant recently for Tapas. Food was tasty and enjoyable. The evening we visited we found the place to be extremely cold. We had booked in advance but were shown probably the worst table there, beside a stairs and a fridge. We asked to be moved and were given a location next to a window. Each time the main door opened we received a blast of cold air. We sat with our coats on but were not asked by any staff member if we were comfortable. We had a look at the smoking area on the rooftop which was warmer than the restaurant. I don’t think we will be running back here.

Bridge Bar and Bistro
The Malting Tower,, Grand Canal Quay, Dublin, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin

Bridge bar and bistro has to be one of my new favourite restaurants. I cannot fault it at all. Four of us went for their taster menu and each dish surpassed the previous one for flavour and originality. We were entertained throughout the evening by a terrific singer impersonating Dean Martin. The staff and manger were exceptionally professional. We asked to be introduced to the chef to congratulate him and discovered he was in his early 20’s which was a great surprise. We are looking forward to returning soon.

Rasam
18-19 Glasthule Road, South Co. Dublin, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

Rasam in Glasthule is probably one of the best Indian food restaurants that we have eaten in. We went there as 2 adults and 2 kids, who love food. When we arrived a member of staff told us it would be half an hour before we got a table. The manger however intervened and suggested we sit at their waiting area, have a drink and peruse their menu. A very professional man I must admit. His team of people were very attentive and efficient. We asked the owner to recommend us a selection of dishes as we are open to all good food. The varieties he chose were absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend Rasam and will definitely return.

Aqua Restaurant
1 West Pier, Howth, Dublin 13, Howth, Dublin

Went to Aqua with my partner and son recently for Sunday lunch. It was a lovely sunny day and they offered us a pair of sunglasses which I thought was a nice took. The staff were very attentive and professional especially the manageress. The restaurant was very busy which created a good atmosphere. We had seafood chowder which had a bit more veg than seafood, but very tasty. Mussels were also very appetizing and quite plentiful. We liked this restaurant at the sea which is one of its attractions. I felt the place could do with a total revamp as it is a bit jaded looking.

I have been to the Cedar Tree many times before and always intended visiting again, so seized the opportunity earlier this evening. Cape Greko (Malahide)
Unit 1 First Floor, New Street, Malahide, Malahide, Dublin

I got a present of a Menu Pages Voucher for Cape Greko and we were delighted as we really love Greek Food. When we went to Malahide we found the restaurant upstairs. On arrival we said that we have a Menu Pages Voucher. We were seated in the restaurant without a problem as it was rather empty with only two other tables taken. We wanted to order the Mezze Platter for two but we were told that it was not included in the deal. We ordered it anyway along with our other dishes and said we would pay the difference. The starters were nice and tasty. Coming to the main course I had Lamb Kleftiko and my partner a Beef Stifado, the Stifado was tasty but the Lamb Kleftiko was absolutely disastrous. The lamb shank was over cooked with no sauce and no taste. I had to ask for extra sauce to give any taste to the dish as it was so bland, it was impossible to eat. Disappointment set in as it was not what I’d expected and along with this the atmosphere in the restaurant left a lot to be desired. We went onto have our desserts and they were tasty enough. We paid the bill that came to € 105 for 2 adults and 2 children and one bottle of wine (had to order a Spanish wine as no Greek wine in the Menu!) and that included the Menu Pages Voucher deducted off. I felt it was overpriced for what we got and a huge disappoint overall.

Fallon and Byrne
11-17 Exchequer Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Went for a leisurely stroll around town. always love to visit Fallon & Byrne, love their deli. Met a friend of mine and decided to have a glass of wine to The Wine Cellar, never there before. As soon as I went in there I said 'Wow'; the place was buzzing! Massive selection of wine on the shelves and loads of people enjoying the wine and the atmosphere. We ordered a cheese plate ,a charcuterie plate and extra olives along with two glasses of Rioja The wine and food went down very well and so we went for another two glass of Rioja! And another one ......All in all a lovely evening and we will definitely be back.

Nautilus
9 Marine Court, The Green, North Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

Popped into Ciao with family friends. Lunch was good value at €21.95 for 3 courses. Homemade soup was delicious as was the Seafood Ragu. I had roast beef which was cooked to perfection. The Linguini Pasta was exactly as it should be. A lovely visit. Will return.

Cafe en Seine
39 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

Went in for a quick lunch with some work colleagues. Really love the décor here. They had a nice selection of sandwiches and a small lunch menu. Very tasty if somewhat a bit slow. A nice place to linger in the city if you have time.

Jaipur Restaurant (Ongar)
Unit 35 and 39, Main Street, Ongar village, Dublin 15, Clonee, Dublin

4 of us went to have the early bird here. The starters were delicious and very authentic. The main courses were very disappointing however. I had chicken tika masala and it appeared that they hadn’t marinated the chicken before. It was tough and tasteless. The sauce was runny and unexciting. I’ve eaten here before and liked it. Perhaps they have changed their chef. I definitely won’t return unless I hear things have improved.

Marco Pierre White Steakhouse & Grill
51 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

This is a lovely restaurant. Sat outside watching the stars which was very romantic. I had the fish Halibut Steak which was delicious. My husband tried the T - Bone of Veal which he claims was the best he’s ever tasted. Service was very efficient and the place had a nice buzz to it. Hope to return soon.

Crackbird
60 Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

What's all this crack about crack bird?1 went yesterday with my daughter and brother in law expecting great things from previous comments. Definitely not my taste. Deep fried chicken that was neither free range nor organic just didn't appeal to me. We had the buttermilk chicken and the soy garlic. These were served without dips. My beer was served without a glass. My daughter said it was OK but she wouldn't rush back. If this is a permanent restaurant which I believe it is now I feel something should be done about the decor cheap chairs and tables. At the end of the day I was still paying the bill. Sorry, but I won't be a follower.

Coppinger Row
Coppinger Row, off South William St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Great restaurant in the middle of the shopping area. Recently went here with my husband and the kids. The service was excellent. I felt the menu was a little on the small side with relatively few choices. However our meal was delicious and tasty. I would definitely return if they reduced their prices a little.
