We stood at closed doors last week with a note in the door that they will be closed for one week. However, checking the restaurant below, it sounded more terminal. We also have deal vouchers and are not sure if they will be honoured or if we get a refund. Being there before, we had a great time, excellent food and service. Pity to see it go.

On a night out in town with the girls, so we decided to go for a drink after a lovely meal in a Temple Bar restaurant. The Morgan Bar was on our way so we stopped by. It was a Saturday night and it was quite busy, however we managed to get some seats and decided to try the cocktails. So 8 of us went for various cocktails (Caipi, Strawberry Daiquiri, etc) for 10 Euro each we thought not bad. However, the cocktails were not great at all. Some of us ordered different ones and got the same! All of them were mixed together with no thought to it and put in a normal glass. The bar was hectic alright but if they offer cocktails they should have a separate bar, dedicated mixer or don't serve them on a Saturday! 80 Euro wasted as we did not finish any of our cocktails.

Dada Restaurant
45 South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Beautiful food, nice staff, and busy lively atmosphere, lovely interior that helps you to feel as if being on holidays. After visiting the restaurant we were delighted to receive some vouchers as a gift. When trying to use the voucher on a Saturday we were made aware of the small print, i.e. that it is not valid on Saturdays. Fair enough, however the restaurant was only half full and the voucher about to expire. In the end we decided to come back on the following Monday. We were advised though to book in advance, so we did only to get told that they are booked out. Then we reminded them that we had been there on Saturday but couldn’t use the voucher. Miraculously a table was available then. The restaurant was only half full but we felt second class because we had a voucher. Food was fabulous though. I am just wondering why restraints engage in handing out vouchers if they don’t welcome new potential customers. In our case we had been there before…

El Bahia Moroccan Restaurant
37 Wicklow Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

A group of friends (10) were looking forward to dinner in El Bahia. We had a lovely private room which was really nice. However, the waiting staff seemed to have forgotten about us half the time. Service was slow but we didnt mind because we had half a bottle of wine each because we decided to go for the Mezza. (40EUR pp) At the end of the night however we ended up paying a lot extra incl wine, bread (1 pitta bread for 7 people, which was only served at the end of the main course after asking a couple of times, it was also on the bill even though it was supposed to be included) Anyways, we had a good night even though, the belly dancer didnt show up in our little seclusion. I guess the service charge on our whopping bill didnt cover for that! What's left to say, 22EUR for a simple chicken dish and not a smile or friendly if we enjoyed the meal as a bit too much. This was only topped by the question if we could hurry up when paying the bill since they wanted to close. Not to mention that we had to wait at least an hour for our starters...It used to be lovely there but lost it's charm somehow. Shame!
