Main Street, Portlaoise, Laois
This is probably the best indian restaurant in Portlaois! Exceptional food. I tried many of their dishes and never was dissapointed. My favouirte - chicken chetinad is really delicious and so it the chicken korma. I thing some of their starters are rather small for what you pay, but still they are tasty. Staff are really nice! Definitely worth a visit.
Old AIB, Main Street, Portlaoise, Portlaoise, Laois
I went there a couple of times with my partner as we love Indian food... We had the mixed meat starter and it was nice, but nothing special. Chicken tikka was tasty, but have eaten better many times. Overall the restaurant is lacking atmosphere. There is another much better indian in portlaise.
The Port House

26 Blooms Lane , Lower Ormond Quay, City Centre North, Italian Quarter, Dublin
This was my first visit in BAr Italia and I was nicely surprised. The food was very good. I had the vegetarian anitpasto - very tasty and quite a big portion. For main I had a chicken with spinach and cheese - it was OK, I thought the chicken was a bit blant. Delicious cheesecake to finish off. Overall reasonably priced and good quality food.
24 Lower Ormond Quay, Dublin 1, City Centre, Italian Quarter, Dublin
Went ther with a group of friends for dinner. we had to wait for a table a bit, but it was our choice. Once we got the table, nobody would come and take our drinks order. We had to call the waiter!! THe food was just OK, nothing special and I would do better at home. One of the pasta dishes was really hot - spicy! It was pricey!
Little Caesars Palace Restaurant
1-3 Balfe Street, City Centre South, Dublin
Went ther for dinner after work. Nice place. The food was good, I tried one of the chicken dishes and it was tasty. Would go back to tryh their pizza.
Yamamori Sushi, Tengu
38-39 Lower Ormond Quay, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin
As I am not a great fun of sushi, i wasn't sure what to think about going there, as that' where our Christmas dinner was booked. I was nicely surprise. THe staff are brilliant, very nice and helpfull. We had the Christmas menu, at 25Euro per person, for 4 course meal, followed by tea or coffee - really great value for money. The starters were delicious. I have the deep fired tiger prawns - very tasty. The main course of beef was a bit blant. THe best of all was the cheesecake dessert- absolutely the best I've ever eaten.
2 Sandymount Green, Dublin 4, Sandymount, Dublin
Went there for dinner last night. The atmospehre is OK. I was a bit dissapointed with the food. I had the tomato bruscheta to start with and the salmon for a main and it was just ok, nothing special and wow about this. My friend had one of their pizzas and that was very tasty. I found the service rather dissmissive and not caring so as a result there was no tip. It's a shame really as I don't i will be back there.
Nostromo Private Party Venue
25a Lower Leeson Street, City Centre South, Dublin
Go there for lunch sometimes as it's close by. VEry quick service!! The starters are not great. I tried chilli spring rolls and there were soggy. The main courses are ok. GEnereous portions, however I found the pasta dishes rather boring. It's like the sit in a pot for a few hours. Good service.
26-28 Clarendon Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Nice atmoshere, lovely decor however the food is not what you would expect. The prawn crackers didn't seem fresh. My tiger prawns were a bit soggy. I was dissapointed. The prices are rather high. They should make an effort in those ahard days and I would not say many people go back there for a next visit. Also the service was just ok, the waitress who served didn't smile even once!
O'Neills Bar & Restaurant
Suffolk Street, City Centre South, Dublin
Went there last night for a drink and decided to have soemthing to eat as the food looked good. They do nice carvery with a selection of beef, lamd, ham chicken. The portions are huge, however everyrything needs a bit of seasoning. Overall Ok and I will be back definitely
192 Lower Rathmines Road, Rathmines, Dublin
Went there a couple of times for a coffee and somethng light to eat. The food is ok though, not very special and bit overpriced. Good coffee. Nice atmosphere, but they would need to think of adding some more items to their breakfast menu, it's kind od a fancy menu at the moment.
The Gallops Bar and Restaurant
Julianstown Inn, Main Street, Julianstown, Meath
Great place to eat. Good food, big portions, comfy sofas to seat. Staff are nice too. Great value for money - it's just what you should expect in any other place like this.
Matt The Thresher (Birdhill)
Birdhill Tipperary Tipperary, Birdhill, Tipperary
Stopped there for breakfat as it's on main Dublin - Limerick road. They server the traditional Irish or you can chose to have scrambled eggs with toast or bacon and egg on a bap. The food was just OK, nothing special I thought. Bit pricey - Dublin prices for a country food.
Cafe Java - Leeson Street
145, Upper Leeson Street, City Centre South, Dublin
It's a good place if you want a quick lunch as the service there is very good. They know you haven't got plenty of time. There is a great selection of sandwiches and snacks and salads. All seem to be fresh and tasty. Nice coffee also.
Foley's Seafood and Steak Restaurant
23 High Street, Killarney, Killarney, Kerry
Very overpriced. The food was pretty good, but all dishes were rather small. The main course dishes don't come with any vegetables or potatos and you have to get them extra. The cost of a protion of vegetables is 4 euro! A rip off!! They tried to charge us for an extra drink which we didn't have. Evene though the food was tasty I would nor go back there becasue ofthe prices. They really should think about this as I would not say that many customers would go back there.
Essex Street - le Bar, Temple Bar, Dublin
Great selection of Czech beer, very good. The food was good too, the goulash was pparticularly nice. The portions are massive, great if you are very hungry though and no need to order a startert. The service is OK, but too cheerful. I would go again to try different dishes.
Racket Hall, Country House, Dublin Road, Roscrea, Tipperary
We stopped there for a meal and where kind of dissapointed. The food was average. My boyfirend had the roast beef I had chicken breast. THe beef was fine. but the chicken very dry. The vegatables must have been on the hot plate for hours and were far to overdone. Overall good portions of food of not so reat quality.
Flanagans on the Lake
Ballina, Killaloe, Limerick
We had a fabolous meal there the other night. GReat selection of Lovely starters, especially the Fernch onion soup and seafood chowder - delicious. We had their speciality - steak. The fillet steak was to die for. Good wine, great food!! We will be coming back.
1 St Andrews Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
VEry good tapas. We had the tower for two and it was a good choice. Nice prawns and tasty meatballs in tomato sauce. Was quite busy and I must say that the staff are not giving their 100%. They are very slow. We have to wait a long while for the bill to arrive and then for our change...
F.X. BUCKLEY Steakhouse Pembroke Street
1A Lower Pembroke Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Went there for Christmas lunch and thought it was a good choice. Good atmosphere, good food and good service. The starters were lovely and so were the main courses. I had smoked salmon to start with and it was very tasty. For the main I has stuffed chicken and it was nice, but a bit dry. Genereous portion, ordered dessert, but could not eat as was soo full. Great wine selection and attentive service.
South William Street, South William Street, Dublin
I like Dakota, maybe becasue of the comfy sofas:-) anyway went there for dinner with a friend. My friend had fish and chips and I had pasta with tomato which was blant. The chunky chips however were tasty. We also tried their coctails. These were good too and reasonable priced at 5 Euro!! Will be bakc for the cocktails, not sure about the food.
Charlemont Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Went for Sunday roast and it was fine. I had the beef, my boyfriend had the turkey. Both came served with a selection of vegetables and potatoes. It was OK, average rather, the food proably spent a couple oof hours on the on the hot plate.
Milano (Dawson Street)
38 Dawson Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin
Went there with a group of friends. First of all we were not able to book a table in advance, we were told that they only do bookings for a group of 7 or more. So we actually had to wait for a table about 40 minutes. The food was very dissapointing. Chicken pesto wasn't great - they do not even use fresh pesto as I would expect. Pizza's werent great either: hard and dry! Desserts not bad, but had never seen a fresh cream poured over a piece of cake so the actual cake was floating in the cream ( not whipped cream). Would not go back there.
7 Ballsbridge Terrace, Dublin, Ballsbridge, Dublin
Went there a few times. The food was always great. Good selection of bread, lovely salads and there is always plenty of veg to accompany a main course. However the service is not really professional and it feels like they rush you to eat quickly and go, they also need a bit of TLC. Once we were told that our table was booked again for a later time so we had to leave it and go to the bar. Overall will be definitely returning there.
Canal Bank Cafe
146 Upper Leeson Street, Dublin 4, Ballsbridge, Dublin
I went there with a friend to try their famous chicken wings with blue cheese dip. There were absolutely delicious. Huge portions and very tasty. Great fish on the menu as well and the salad are very good. Would definitely go back.
Luigi Malones Restaurant
5/6 Cecilia Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin
Went there on a friday night. The rastaurant was very busy but manged to get a table. The service was efficient but we had to wait at least 25 minutes for the starter The food was really delicious, espacially the stakes. Generous portions as well. It is not a place for a quiet romantic meal as it gets noisy especially when you sit downstairs. Overall I will be definitely going back there.
7 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin
I have been there two times. THe potato skin starter is absolutely delicious. We also had a mixed platter starter and this was good too. I had the chcken enchicaladas- there were lovely and so was th chicken burito. Nice margherita. When I went there for the first time the waitress that was serving us was not nice at all. THe second time were served by a guy and he was a bit better but they need to improve they service and put a smile on their staff's faces. Bustling place and noisy. Better to sit upstairs on the balcony. Overall just ok.
15 Stephen Lane, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
I've to Dobbins two times ans every time it was excellent: food, service & atmosphere. The food is excellent. The bacon, avocado and asparagus salad was delicious as so was the prawn starter -this one was to die for. I had the monkfish and my partner had the steak and both of them were cooked to perfection and nicely served. Great wine selection. I will be definitely going back there.
15 Capel Street, City Centre North, Dublin
I went there last night. I'm Polish and I was looking for a nice, traditional Polish dish. I must admit that I didn't see on the menu "golabki" - stuffed cabbage leaves. Also dumplings with different fillings are served as starters even though that's rather heavy dish! Overall there is a great variety of food to choose from. I went for pork chop - kotelt shcaboey and it was very good. It came with delicious grillet new potatos. I had to order a side salad as there was no vegetables with the dish. What I didn't like was - slow service. WE had to wait and wait for the waitress to come to our table when we wanted to order some drinks and then it took ages for the drinks to arrive. We had wait nearly at least 45 minutes for the meal to arrive and we were absolutely starving at this point. What's more the food was served on cold plates!!! I will be looking for another Polish restaurant to go to in future.
