Very friendly local staff and nice relaxing decor. If you want local and a walk down the sea front later then this is the place! The menu could be extended by two or three dishes. You are limited however what is served is very good. The food was lovely and hot and the portion sizes were fine. Good value for money. Had a bit of banter with the waiting staff which was refreshing!. Will be back for more, however I could not come back too often as I would not have much to chose from the menu. I could do with two or three more choices which are not fish to chose from and the vegetarian side could do with some imagination from the chef.

Had lunch in here on a few occasions with friends - the staff are always changing so it is hard to get good service. The food is over priced and a little limited in its choice. If you don't like steak or chicken you're pretty limited to what you can order as a main course. There is no real vegetarian options to speak off - however I was offered vegetable soup with a cheese sandwich. Nothing exciting - if you like greasy over priced chips this is the place for you!!

The Port House Ibericos
5/6 Pembroke Cottage, Pembroke District, Ballinteer Rd, Dundrum, Dublin

I visited here with a friend of mine who lived in Cadiz as a child and we both found the food to be average. The potatoes bravas was not up to scratch and the creme brulee was burnt beyond recognition.....nice building and staff were not too obtrusive

Jamie's Italian
Pembroke District, Dundrum Shopping Centre, Dundrum, Dublin

I have to say I really enjoyed my visit....Staff were friendly and could not have served us better.....I ate with my sister and my friend and all three of us loved our food....There is a good mix of long tables for groups or booths which I love or small tables for two....I love that I can see the chefs cooking our food.....A helpful suggestion would be to watch your toilets....I had to tell staff that there was no toilet paper in two cubicles...luckily I always check first ;) Lovely food ....will be back for more :)

Silks Chinese Restaurant
Main Street, Malahide, Dublin

I had seen all the bad reviews about Silks and I have to say I was really surprised with the quality of the meal I had last Saturday. The food was lovely and the service was very good.....My boyfriend brought me so I do not know the price but I have to say I would recommend the fillet beef curry it was lovely....Will definitely be back for more :)

Il Sorriso Restaurant
New Street, Malahide, Dublin

This is a lovely place ....food was excellent and very generous portion size....will definitely be back for more.....Best Italian I have had in ages!

profile_review

Il Baccaro
Meeting House Square, Temple Bar, Dublin

Good Italian in the centre of Temple Bar....house wine is lovely and fairly priced...the fish is excellent....a real Italian restaurant....just a note that the mains come without poatoes or vegtables so you have to pay for sides....does not serve chips which I don't mind...deserts could do with some work ...overall not bad at all hoever a little pricey

Pizzas n Cream
Albert Walk, Bray, Wicklow

Very disappointed to see this place fall into such disrepair and neglect! The food here is lovely...especially the pizza and home made ice cream....avoid the pasta dishes as all you get is pasta the meat is no where to be seen! The toilets and the outside court yard are filthy....there are cigarette buts in the courtyard and the yard seem to be a dumping ground for the mop bucket, old tables etc.....this place would benefit from a complete renovation....

Sandbar
193 Clontarf Road, Clontarf, Dublin

Excellent food, good portion sizes, they will box off any left overs and allow you to bring home the food you don't manage to finish. Warm friendly staff and well priced dishes.....I love this place whether its just for pizza with a friend or a romantic dinner with the boyfriend....The northside could do with more places like this little gem....5 stars :)

The Yacht (Clontarf)
73 Clontarf Road, Clontarf, Dublin

The food is good value for money however the service could be better, saying that it is not surprising that the waitresses look miserable as the manager is not very professional and could do with a course in customer service.....Our order was not given to the kitchen and after 30 minutes of waiting we asked another waitress who brought over her manager who is rude and unable to deal with a complaint professionally.

F.X. BUCKLEY Steakhouse Pembroke Street
1A Lower Pembroke Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Excellent Food & Excellent Service - what more can you ask for? Will be back again and again for more. Only thing they could improve on is the choice of deserts - this is not a criticism but a mere suggestion. Plate licking good food and waiters with a sense of humour :)

profile_review

Mulino's
23 Watermill road, Raheny, Dublin 5, Raheny, Dublin

Nice food and atmosphere - however service can be hit and miss if they are really busy, however the staff are friendly. The deserts are over priced and you have to pay for chips which your steak which is dear enough.

Il Corvo Restaurant
98-100 Upper Drumcondra Road, Drumcondra, Dublin

This restaurant could do a hell of a lot better! The location is perfect - however the decor and food are in need of a make over. The food is average nothing special. The food is over priced for what you get. I had the over priced lasagne which was burnt and stuck to the bottom of the dish. The staff lack the personal touch, a warm welcome goes a long way. This could be a lovely place if they just updated the decor and served simple tasty Italian food.

Odessa
14 Dame Court, City Centre South, Dublin

Very disappointed with this place - ate here twice and both times it has not been great. We were left standing upstairs without being acknowledged by the staff. No one greeted us on entry which was a bad start. Our food order was mixed up and three of us were served our mains when everyone else had finished. This place is over rated and not worth a visit in my opinion

Courtyard Restaurant
Carnegie Court Hotel, North Street, Swords, Swords, Dublin

This place can be hit or miss with the service. Been here a few times and every time you have different levels of service. Food is nice however the desserts could do better I would give them a miss.

Casa Pasta (Clontarf) more than just pasta
55 Clontarf Road, Clontarf, Dublin

Nice place for a quick meal but not somewhere you would linger for long. The tables are a little to close to one another for comfort. Service was good and staff are very friendly. Food is grand would stay and drink lots of wine if the place was not so cramped

Zen
89 Upper Rathmines Road, Rathmines, Dublin

A gem of a restaurant! The decor and relaxed atmosphere is very inviting. Food is very nice and reasonably priced. Service was excellent. This place is nice for a romantic meal or a meal out with friends. A lovely friendly place will definitely be back again and again.

Tante Zoes
1 Crow Street, Temple Bar, Temple Bar, Dublin

Best service in town for a long time - our waiter was so efficent we did not notice him at work. I am not a mad fan of Creole so my rating my be a little on the mean side. The desserts could be better and are well over priced. Excellent location for a nice romantic meal

Brasserie Sixty6
66/67 Great South Georges Street, Georges Street, Dublin

We arrived however our table was not ready - this was not bad as we sat at the bar and had a drink. Staff were very friendly and extremely efficient. I asked for the vegetarian menu which was a little over priced for the portion size given. Food was nice however my friends side of chips was a bit on the burnt side but mine were perfect ;) Would go back again

Brannigans Dundrum
Dundrum Town Centre Dundrum, Dundrum, Dublin

Good American style diner. I have eaten here a few times and I find the service good and the food fine for a diner. The starters are large and can be shared. The manager I find is very pleasant, she allowed me to have the nachos to share as a starter at half price as no one at our table wanted to order them with me. Nice for lunch or before the cinema, but hardly a place you would dine at for a special occasion.

profile_review

Saba
26-28 Clarendon Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Staff were pleasant and the atmosphere was good. Food was fine however portion size a little on the small side. Nice if you like Thai food, not a mad fan of it hence the rating may be a little harsh.

La Caverna Restaurant & Wine Bar
12 Fownes Street, Temple bar, Temple Bar, Dublin

A Gem of a restaurant! The food was delicious and the service was top notch! The staff are so friendly and very professional in serving you. By far one of the best places to eat in Dublin and very reasonably priced. This is a lovely place and is situated right in the heart of Temple Bar if you want to finish the night off with a few drinks! Would highly recommend a visit to La Caverna!

The Steps Of Rome (Chatham Court)

The food is okay nothing special in my opinion. This place is over rated, the tables are cramped and the staff are not very friendly. This place is average.

La Banca Ristorante
Main Street, Lucan Village, Lucan, Dublin

Myself and my friend ate here the other day - it was a week day so we were not expecting the place to be buzzing. There were a few office workers in having dinner, apart from that no locals at all which should have said it all!!!. The service was fine however a little forced to make conversation with us. The food was just ok, not the best Italian I have eaten. The place lacks atmosphere and could be a lot better with a bit of imagination, music and decoration.

Luigi Malones Restaurant
5/6 Cecilia Street, Temple Bar, Dublin

I don't know what the fuss is about this place!!!! I have had better food and service down my local pub!! The food was well over priced and lacked flavour and taste. The main course came without chips or veg - if you wanted them you had to pay extra - what a rip off!!! The tables are too close to one another and you're cramped which means you wo0't linger - not a bad thing if you want to listen to other peoples conversations. Will not be back for more.

Il Fornaio (Raheny)
55 Kilbarrack Road, Raheny, Dublin

Very disappointed with this place - this place seems to be suffering from some type of identity crisis. It is a peculiar cross between a fast food cafe and shop. My advice would be to decide if you’re a restaurant or cafe / shop!!! I ordered the bruschetta for starters - it was ok but cold. For mains I ordered the traditional bolognaise - this dish lacked flavour and MEAT!!!!!!!!!! At first I thought I had gotten the vegetarian option as I could find no meat in the dish. My advice is never to sit at table 6!! If you do the chef stands opposite you and when he is not busy will stare at you which is off putting. The tables are packed together and you’re wedged up behind the table behind - so you have to apologise if you try and move your chair. There is constant movement past your table when you are trying to eat - people brushing passed you as you try and eat is not great. A real let down - will not be back for seconds

El Paso Steakhouse
Upstairs at the Waterside Inn, Opposite the yacht club, Harbour Road, Howth, Dublin

Had dinner with my friend the other day - what a treat!!! The service was excellent from the moment we stepped into the restaurant to the moment we left. The location and the food is excellent and very good value for money. Oddly they have their bad review posted all over the building and the staff are very unhappy with this review. Based on my visit to El Paso I have to disagree that the bad review was not warranted. Excellent Northside Restaurant. Will definitely be back for more!

Beaumont House
1 Shantalla Road Beaumont, Beaumont, Dublin

Had dinner here last night with a friend and was quite surprised given the bad reviews I had read about this place. Was quite surprised with this place - our waitress was very nice and was very helpful. The food was good - I had the lasagne with chips and salad and my friend had the half a chicken - both of us cleared our plates. The food was piping hot and the portion sizes were very healthy. No complaints about the food or service - prices were no different to other pub grub. Will visit again

Captain America's Cookhouse And Bar
44 Grafton Street, City Centre South, Dublin

This place is great during the day for families or late in the evening for a work night out. The food is ok - I had the lasagne for mains - it was ok, but the pasta layers were stuck to the dish which seems to suggest it was a bit over cooked. Our waitress was fine however not the friendliest person I have encountered - we got service without a smile :( . However the Aussie guy on the door made up for her lack lustre approach - top marks to him for making us feel welcome!!! Overall not too bad of a place for a quick bite to eat.

TGI Friday (St Stephens Green )
St Stephens Green, St Stephens Green, Dublin

The staff & service are surprising very good for such a busy city centre restaurant. Was greeted by a warm smile on entering the place and was brought straight to our table. Our waitress was very friendly and good at her job - despite being busy she offered us refils on our drinks without us having to ask. Overall we were served very well by all the staff and they seemed all to be happy when asked for sauce etc Food was fine - no complaints - simple typical American style food. The menu is good and there is something for everyone Overall a good experience

Arc Cafe Bar

The Porterhouse (North )
Cross Guns Bridge, Glasnevin, Dublin

Three of us ate here last night and I have to say I wont be back!! The service was extremely poor and our waitress could not explain in English what was in the house salad - however she could explain in 'her own language'. The garlic bread was ordered as a starter - this was bland and not Garlic Bread as you know it. The starter was served at the same time as one of our main courses at 8.48pm We had to tell our friend to start eating her main course at 8.55pm as being polite she was waiting for our main courses to arrive. At 9.23pm the other two main courses arrived - just in time as we were getting up to leave - I wish I had!! Pizza had no base sauce and the garden salad was a bit of lettuce with loads of cucumber. Very dissappointed with this place - will not be back Chip portions could feed a sparrow!!!! Service staff stand around talking to one another instead of serving their cusomers!!!

Joels Restaurant
Newlands Cross, Naas Road, Clondalkin, Clondalkin, Dublin

Have been to Joels a few times and still unable to finish all my food. Joels menu is pretty varied. There is a great vegetarian option - which is rare for a Dublin retaurant. We ordered the platter for two for starters - I have to say this was very expensive and not worth the money. Our waitress was very friendly and the service was very good - no faults there. The main course of beef lasagne was bland and lacked taste - I left half the lasagne as it was not worth wasting my calories on this stoggy dish. Unfortunately there was not much meat or tomato sauce in the lasagne - as a result the lasagne was dry to taste. Portion sizes are very good - good for families as you could share alot of the main courses. The Joel burger is good value for money and a healthy size Overall the food could be improved - service was very good. Stop putting paprika on all the plates as decoration!!!

Cactus Jacks (Middle Abbey St)
Millennium Walkway, Middle Abbey Street, City Centre North, Dublin

Cactus Jacks - this place was a real let down - not worth a visit in my opinion. The food was bland and over priced. I had better Mexican in fast food in the USA!!! The waiters seemed to be bored to be working - they never asked if everything was alright when they served the food. There would be a better atmosphere on the moon than in this place. Will not be back for seconds!!!

profile_review

The Twelfth Lock
Castleknock Marina, The Royal Canal, Castleknock, Dublin

Staff are a bit slow but helpful. I have lunch here from time to time. The food is ok but the vegetarian options are poor. There seems to be no air conditioning so it can be hot at times. Overall ok but could improve with some thought and innovation.

profile_review

TGI Friday (Blanchardstown)
Blanchardstown Shopping Centre, Blanchardstown, Dublin

Food is over priced and the service can be very slow. The staff cannot seem to remember who ordered which item, so you spend time directing food to the correct recipient. The staff are not very friendly and can struggle to understand requests not on the menu. There is no welcome at the door and there is no gratitude from them if you leave a tip - they seem to think it is their right to receive one! Staff turnover seems high and this could be a factor in the lack of warmth to the place. Over priced and under staffed by good keen staff.

profile_review

Kealys of Cloghran
Old Airport Road, (Off Airport Roundabout), Cloghran, Dublin

Kealys one of the best kept secrets in Dublin. The food is lovely and the portion sizes are big. The staff are very friendly and will get you anything you like once they have it in stock. The only down side is the lack of vegetarian options. Stir fried noodles with oyster sauce is not in my eyes vegetarian as it is made with fish sauce. Anna one of the Dublin waitresses is lovely, very friendly and will great you with a smile and chat to you for a while. I love this place - however upstairs on a Sunday can be a bit busy with families who travel out here with all their children. Would highly recommend if your looking for good honest priced Dublin grub. The family would love if they would add lasagne to their menu. Their soup is lovely and is a healthy portion size.

profile_review

Dobbins @ The Park
South Lotts Road, Ringsend, Dublin

The staff have problems getting your order correct - this could be due to their lack of English. If you order sauce etc they will arrive after your meal after you have requested them 4 or 5 times. There vegetarian options are non existent and you are limited to one choice, which is not good. The children’s menus is over priced. The Northern Irish Manager is very pass remarkable and makes comments if you order extra. The seats are cramped and you’re forced on top of one another. You cannot get out of your seat without hitting the person behind you - there is no room to swing a rat let alone a cat.
