AWARD WINNING RESTAURATEURS OPEN NEW FINE DINING EXPERIENCE IN THE HEART OF SLIGO TOWN

Having just recently opened its doors, Eala Bhán Restaurant, sister restaurant to the award-winning Trá Bán of Strandhill in Co. Sligo, is rapidly establishing itself as a must-stop culinary destination of the North West. This restaurant expansion, which sees proprietors Anthony Gray and Cedric Roussilhe team up once again, is situated along the banks of the Garavogue River in the heart of Sligo town.

Specialising in fresh, local produce, Eala Bhán, offers the best in fine dining in a warm and relaxing environment. Head Chef Seamus Thompson, together with Anthony and Cedric have put together a mouth watering menu comprising meat, seafood and vegetarian options.

Their menu offerings focus on simplicity, seasonal preparations, regionally inspired dishes and all of their local seafood is hand selected and artistically prepared to perfection. Trá Bán’s critically acclaimed ‘Salmon Sushi’ starter is already proving very popular among diners to the restaurant. Eala Bhan’s menu boasts great variety and other seafood options include the ‘Pan Fried Fillet of Monkfish’, or if you’re feeling a little more adventurous you could try their ‘Fresh Mullaghmore Lobster’. Their meatier dishes include the ‘10Oz Fillet Steak’, accompanied by roast garlic mash, with appetising vegetarian options including the ‘Vegetable Pithivier’- a must-try for all goats cheese enthusiasts! In addition to their diverse food menu, Eala Bhán has an extensive wine list, including wines from Italy, Australia, New Zealand and France.

Sligo native, Westlife member and more recently, RTE’s ‘The Voice of Ireland’ star Kian Egan, maintains Eala Bhán is fast becoming his eatery of choice in recent months, “Since Eala Bhán’s opening, I have found it hard to stay away! Their menu offers fantastic choice and is the perfect location for a Sunday lunch with friends or a romantic dinner for two. I really like how they strive to use all local produce and in doing so support local businesses”.

The menu tells that the name Eala Bhan is Irish for White Swan as it is not uncommon to see swans making their way along the river in front of the restaurant. The restaurant boasts impressive interiors and from the moment you open their doors, are greeted by the warm and tranquil ambience. Centrally located in Sligo town, Eala Bhán is a must if visiting the North West this New Year!
