Went with the family for there early bird - 3 course - €14.95 The place is really nice and the food was beautiful, spicey and very tasty. For that price i don't think you will beat it. I have also had takeaway here and it is to really nice. No complaints - all plates were empty in the end! they have also great deal which is dinner for two with bottle of wine only 50 euro. look forward to go again.

Came here last night with a grop of 15. Its my favourite Indian in Ashbourne. Great service and food is very very tasty. My favourite is the Lamb Jalfarezi, so fresh. With such a big group i was worried if the service would be slow but it wasnt at all. the restaurant was busy, so nice to see. Cant wait to come back.

Have been in this place twice before but at least 2 years ago. Never had a complaint. But this visit ;( We were there for the early bird, good value 2 courses @ 15euro. Starter was fair enough BUT unfortunately the two chicken dishes we ordered were all the brown meat of the chicken !!! yuk ... there was plenty of it but did not taste great and in fact some of it was not edible Atmosphere was ok, waiter was attentive but surly, anyone can have an off day i suppose but a smile would have gone a long way though

Myself and my husband ate here after we heard the restaurant had been taken over and was under new management as we had a bad experience in the past. Firstly the food is delicious and portions are more than enough. However the waiter we had was not extremely friendly and this does take away from a good service. We had two chicken shashlick Kebabs for starters which were huge! and delicious then we both had the Chicken Jalfrezzi with Rice and Chips which was hot yet delicious. We had a bottle of the house red and a bottle of still water. Our bill came to just €75 which I felt was a little pricey for what we had but the food was delicious. Although it was very quiet, there is a nice cosy warm atmosphere here and we will return.

Average!! They do a value meal which is good value but the sides and Beer brought the bill from reasonable to expensive. Food was only ok as was the service. Bill came to 95 which felt expensive what we got....then to top off the waiters made it very obvious that we were holding them up...at 10:30 all in all we wont be back!!!

I have had two take aways recently and was delighted with both. The food was really tasty and the sauces really rich. The staff were pleasant and we were offered complimentry drinks while we waited. I will be back. Well done.

I recently got a take-away from this restaurant, absolutely disgusting. Service so slow, 50 mins waiting for a take-away and when I finally got the food home it was cold and absolutely tastless. My partner got tandoori chicken, absolute rubber, he could not eat it. NEVER EVER ever again.

Had a nice meal before christmas & food was good.I have to say owners have tried to give a fresh look to new place with few new dishes and new colrs. As people say "old is gold", so it is one of the best indian bites in meath..

It was the second time we went to eat at Jamuna. The first time around we went with friends, service then was poor and rushed, the food was average nothing special and very pricy. This time we went because of the 'Early Bird', but that turned out to be a selction only and not the full menu. It was also a very poor selection at that. Still we stayed but service again was poor and rushed...despite the fact that there was only one more table occupied. We commented to staff that we where not happy at all but just got stared at...needless to say we will not be going there again.

Got a Takeaway recently with my pal. Food was good and tasty and reasonable aswell. It was spicy as thats the way we both like it. This experience has re-ignited my Indian taste buds in ashbourne.

I visited Jamuna on Friday with friends,The room was empty, the food was awful and totally overpriced.Starters were all deep fried and greasy, mains all tasted the same even though we all ordered different, they were just loaded with curry powder and no natural flavours. In this climate they cannot survive.....

I've been here a few times now and have enjoyed each time. The food is good as is the service. Their special offer meal for two incl. a bottle of house wine is excellent value, although I was given instant coffee on two occasions. The atmosphere, however, can range from dead to a raucous birthday party in the corner. Unfortunately (in my experience), it tends to fall at one of these extremes. It's still definitely worth a try, particularly for their special offer or early bird.

i eat here regularly, both in the restaurant and take out and I can never fault the place. The food is always delicious, good big portions - we normally get 2 starters and 1 main course with nan and rice and it's plenty. the restaurant can be quiet but the food is great, service is fine and the prices are good too!

I've eaten in Jamuna maybe a dozen times and this is what I think. Great food, great service and at the prices it charges it must be the best value in Ashbourne. Whilst its not the flashiest dining room I've eaten in the rest of the package makes it a very enjoyable experience. In almost four years since I first ate here I honestly think every one of the front of house staff still work here, remarkable, not only that but every one of them could give lessons in customer service. Jumbo Prawn Jal Freizi and a couple of ice cold Cobra beers, ahhhh heaven. Give Jamuna a go, its worth the effort.

This place is ok. Never eaten in the restaurant, but have had a few takeaways. I waited almost an hour one day, and generally they're not the fastest. The food was tasty but not amazing, and the garlic naan must've had at least 20 cloves of garlic on it (and I am NOT exaggerating!)
