me and friends went for one of our birthdays last wed. they had great offers but we opted for wed ladies night one. 3 course meal and glass wine only €20.50!!! i had duck rolls for starter and it wasnt just a few meisly bits of duck thety were cramed with tasty pieces. i had a warm chicken salad for mains and it was full of flavour, not like most dry salads. i barely fit my baileys cheesecake in!! the whole meal was very tasty and no one said a bad word about it. the staff was great too and fun. we had such a good celebration we have booked to go to their other offers on a weekend nigh so we can see the bands and nightlife in full

Was at a meal in the Ashbourne House Hotel last Saturday and was very disappointed. We were in the function room and when we arrived couldnt believe the smell in the place, it was awful and also the place was freezing. The meal was just OK, soup (quite thick), salmon was OK but the veg were straight out of the freezer, then apple pie and cream, again just average. The only good point was the staff, they were all lovely. Definitely would never go back!!

I visited The Loft Restaurant in the Ashbourne House to celebrate a birthday and will definitely be back. There was a great offer on the night we went, 45eur for 2 ppl - 3 courses plus wine. This offer was on the whole extensive menu, and it has so much choose I struggled to pick! All cuisines are covered in the menu, so really cannot be faulted for choice. I went for the duck spring roll starter which were delicious. Seemed so fresh and plenty of duck in it. I went for the steak, and I must say - best steak i have ever had. It was so thick and cooked to perfection (medium rare). All the extras came with it, unlike some places that charge extra for onions and mushrooms with steak. Only wish i had more room for some more of the delicious garlic potatoes. Nothing on the dessert jumped out to me, it could do with a few additions maybe. Great quality food, and great great value.

U have eaten in the upstairs Loft restaurant a good few times and have never ben disappointed. The surroundings are softly lit and the place has a homey feel. The menu has a good choice and I have always been happy with my choice. The staff are very helpful and friendly. All round, a nice relaxing space for dinner.

Only ever had bar food here, but each time I did I was very impressed. Really good hearty food and excellent friendly service!
