A big gang of us from a local club booked in here for a celebration. We had a large area booked and some of the girls had never eaten Indian before, so it was nice for them to try something different. The service was top notch, the staff were around really quickly to take orders and had no problem suggesting dishes to those who were first timers! I got the green curry which was just hot enough for my palate! Everyone seemed to really enjoy their meals. They were very accommodating when more people arrived late and found chairs to seat us all, even though they had a pretty full house!

Dined here last Saturday with my husband. Lovely food, Keema Kebab followed by Butter Chicken. Restaurant was packed out, full house. Everyone was enjoying, even the celebrity Mr Richard Corrigan was dining with his family. Heard him talk after with Carmel (owner) advising that he loved the butter chicken. Well done to everyone at copper and spices, what an achievement to have a Michelin Star Chef dine in your restaurant. See you very soon.

I am very dissapointed in this restaurant as i read the reviews and thought it would be perfect for our anniversary, service was very poor, we waited at the door for 5 mins for someone to acknoledge us, we were greeted by a very rude staff member who pointed a table out to us and then we waited a long time for our order to be taken, We found them to be rude almost ignorant, food was average and not very warm, when we complained we were just given the bill, I wont be returning and would not reccommend ,dont know who is posting possitive reviews

We have been back here a few times this year - they have really upped the ante. Special early bird offers, surprises from the chef (nice touch), well thought out menu and lovely food. Service good - they want you back. Keep it up Copper & Spice and you will come through this downturn. Navan has become a graveyard of failed restaurants .. shame.

This restaurant never fails to impress. A lovely atmosphere sitting by the window. Immediately presented with chapatis and gorgeous dips. We enjoyed the 2 course early bird with a lovely Takun Reserve Merlot all for €53. Great value.

I love this restaurant, the food was gorgeous as usual, my partner had the Keema kebab which I would recommend! Very tasty! The staff were friendly and helpful and there was a great buzz about the place! It was my fourth visit and I can't wait to go back!

went to this resturant recently after a friend recommended it, easy to find, very central in the town. I dont eat Indian often so I did ask for some recommendations and our waiter was very helpful about which dishes I might prefer, I loved the stuffed naan bread especially to mop up the sauces, I will go back again.

Eat here fairly regularly cos I cant get enough of the fabulous food, its a very cosy little restaurant right in the heart of navan, there is a great selection on the menu to choose from and if your never too sure of anything, the staff will always help you choose and getting any dish you like made a little more spicy for your liking or sauces on the side etc is no problem, a good few times we have recieved a surprise taster dish, which is always delicious and of course an added bonus, service and atmosphere is always spot on, always recommend and will continue to do so. highly recommend the balti and the butter chicken oh and the generous sized naan breads.

Have been here several times & when we cant get a babysitter we ring for takeaway. Food is fantastic, really tasty & fresh & always cooked to your liking, if you want if spicer or milder this isnt a problem, if you dont want onions or peppers or whatever its not a problem for these to be left out. If you want a new experiance from the menu they are only happy to help you choose knowing what your usual is & what would suit you from the menu. Early bird great value & is child friendly. as I said have been there several times & will be several more!!!!

Positives: We love the Chef Tasters here, My Favourite is Balti & Samosas, but i love it all though. Shame i cant have it all in a go. Host with Most...she s lovely & i like when chef sometimes gives a surprise visit to table with few extras. Never disappointed our friends either. Place is cozy & warm. Negatives: Shame C&S is not in Dublin & Whenever i dine here i am full in stomach but greed s not. One of my favourite restaurants in Ireland. Fantastic presentation is Icing on the cake. Keep up the good work guys, I will spread the word. Today we had a Cinnamony Taster which was Yum, Had a keema kebab which was yum yum & in mains i had Roganjosh, Loved the aftertaste & usual huge naan breads. Thank you C&S

First visit to an Indian restaurant, while visiting from Chicago..had the Chicken Korma and it was delish. While ordering I stated I wasnt big on spicey food, if it could be made alittle "less" spicey..it was perfect... chicken, onion balls(dont know the proper name of them) naan bread..it was a party in my mouth, a whole new food expierence for me. I will definately visit everytime Im in Navan..Now I will have to try Indian food in Chicago Thank you C&S!!!

Booked a table for 4 of us last nite. We arrived on time, and were seated, restaurant looked smaller, but we were quick to realise that they were using one side of the restaurant for their cooking class. Anyway, i odered the keema kebab to start and the Chicken Jalfarezi, they have reduced the price of their Early Bird, a 2 course was E17.00,I really enjoyed my dinner as did my 3 friends. The athmosphere was amazing, they had 6 people cooking in the restaurant, loved it, i did enquire from the staff, and am thinking of doing them, but maybe in the winter. It was a delightfull expierance, and i will be back. Good work to all, and thank you for a lovely evening.

This is a little gem of a restaurant, hidden away on a quiet street in Navan town. A tastefully decorated restaurant helps create a truly oriental atmosphere. The menu is set for all tastes and ages- if you like spicy or mild or if you've got kids then there's something for everyone. I ordered Chicken Phall (hottest dish on the menu) and I was not disappointed, while my wife opted for the much milder chicken korma and she tells me it was delicious. Our 7 year old son had chicken biryani and ate a whole portion to our surprise!! The staff are very friendly, the wine list is varying in price and region and overall I cannot fint a fault with this restaurant. Value for money? Definitely. I'll be back.

Back for a lovely curry last night in Copper and Spices, they are now doing a 2 course for E17.00 and a 3 course for E20.00. for starters i had the duck, lovely portion and presentation was amazing. For my main course i had prawn Jalfarezi and Rice, my partner had Onion Bhaji for starter and Chicken Tikka Masala with naan bread for mains. Food was loads. we shared a bottle of house white. our bill in total was E53.00. amazing value. Restaurant wasnt packed out but it was only Thursday. Phone was rin ging and it seems that they do a really good takeaway trade. This is a great restaurant and staff are very friendly We really enjoyed our night.

Four of us had a meal here recently and my pals were pleasantly surprised. We shared a Thai platter and Chilli Prawns, jasus they were really spicy but beautifully presented. We shared Green Curri, Jalfarezi, Himalayan Curry& Butter Chicken, all different so that we can get all the flavours. Naan bread are huge. It was pretty amazing food, unlike some other boring indian restaurants. Good Going

Visited here last Saturday night. When booking the table was told that I would have to leave the table by 8.45 as it was booked after that, that gave us excess of 2 hours for the meal and was fine. Had the Tempura Prawns for starter and Fish & Clips for Main - Prawns were excellent and the Cod was quite nice. Partner had Duo Crab Claws and the Salmon, both which she enjoyed. Service was excellent and the live Pianist added to the atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

Booked Copper and Spices for a private birthday party recently. It was a huge success with family and friends enjoying a lovely food and wine selection, chosen with excellent advice of the owners. Even people who said they don;t eat indian food, ate the food and really enjoyed it. As usual, excellent friendly service, brilliant value for money. I would highly recommend this restaurant even to those who have not tried Indian and Thai food before.

The food was tasty however this was spoiled by the poor service. We arrived at 7:45 but did not receive our starters till 8:50 and our main till after 10:00. It was only after we complained that they explained they had taken too many take out orders. I would have thought the restauraunt would take priority. For this reason unfortunatily I will not be returning.

This is my third time rating Copper and Spices. I am afraid that they are frequently excellent but they are not always consistently good. The last time I went there with my wife, there was only one other table of people there. It was exceptionally quiet. When we got our hors d'oeuvre, the poppadoms and dips were outstanding and so flavoursome. However, my main course was very poor. I ordered the chicken balti. The consistency was all wrong. There was nothing liquid in it. It had the consistency of mashed potato. It tasted a bit different as well. The time before that when I had eaten here, the balti was a million times better. The serving of chips that I got this time was much smaller as well. I thought the desserts were too small. They need to focus on keeping the food consistently good. When they are good, they are excellent. However, I have had mixed experiences overall

This was my first time visiting this restaurant & I have to say I'm sorry I didn't try it before. We arrived early & went for the earlybird menu which was great value. The food was amazing. There were four of us & not a single complaint. The service was brill too. The only downfall was the atmosphere. We were the only ones in the restaurant so it was very quiet but as I said we were there early. Will definately be back, but maybe a little later in the evening.

Went here with my wife and her mother. Overall, the food was delicious, the atmosphere pleasant and the service fine. The food and service would each have got a half point more were it not for the fact that part of our combo starter (some kind of fried prawns) was replaced by "Fish pakoras", which were overdone deep-fried fish cut-offs. When we complained, the bill was reduced in respect of this. The Bordeaux we had was also really excellent value - one of a very reasonable range of wines on the list. I have since then ordered food for delivery from here. It has taken over as my favourite Indian restaurant in Navan - and Navan has a very decent range of Indian restaurants.

Second time dining in the restaurant. Came with friends, Copper and Spices were doing a 4 course meal and your ticket to the Back Room Laughs gig, and it was for only E25.00. When you see such a good deal you wounder how good it is really? We arrived on time, restaurant was very busy. seated on time unlike my last expierance!!! For starters we all shared Indian and Thai platters, so much food. For mains I had the chefs Special Chicken. It was the nicest dish I have ever tasted. The flavours were so mild but I couldnt stop eating, we got chocolate fudge cake for dessert, hugh portion followed by coffee. All in all, it really was a very enjoyable expierance, service was excellent it was a little slow but they were busy, main thing was food was coming from their kitchen on time, we never had to wait to long for anyting. I cant wait for the next Backroom Laughs gig and book in ere again for dinner.

I ate there last weekend with some friend and everyone was very happy with everything,It was busy but it didn't effect the staff or chef they are so professional. the menu is very well priced,i i've since exhausted the poor delivery guy as i can't stop ordering from the takeaway menu, the best restaurant in navan would highly recommend to all

Ate here last Thurs and was very impressed. A first timer, the food, service and atmosphere all rated very highly. The food is delicious and a nice touch is that the chef brings the food to the table. We shared the thai platter followed by the signature chicken and a prawn balti. The chicken dish was delicious and very well described by the hostess. The menu is extensive but we availed of the all night early bird menu and were accommodated with some "switches".At €19.95 it represents excellent value for money. In all a very pleasant evening, and would highly recommend.

its offical, this is the best asian restaurant. since my first time eating ere bk in september i have become a regular customer, form having dinner in the restaurant to takeaways and even having them cater for me at my home. But they really out did themselves on wednesday nite, restaurant was packed out, dont tink its packed out every wednesday nite but it was on this nite. service was fast, large pint bottles of cobra served with chilled glasses. food was amazing. tryed the chefs special, a south indian curry, spicy and very nice, nearly licked me bowel clean. The owner, who i mite add is irish is doing a very good job ere and runs her little gem very well. She is always there and aways make a point to chat with everyone. All i can say is if you havnt been, you havnt lived, the food is so different, you have to go.

this was the first time i had been to this restaurant and i was totally underwhelmed. i had been excited about visiting from reviews i had seen here but i was bitterly disappointed. me and my husband arrived about ten minutes early for our table and were told we would be seated promptly, however after 30 minutes there was no sign of our table so we enquired again and were told we were next to be seated, eventually after a 50minute wait we were seated. the thai green curry i had was very nice but wasnt anything special which was disappointing. i had planned on having a romantic dinner but unfortunately the noise was deafening and we could not have a decent conversation. the build up to this outing was better than the event, i wont be returning
Response:
This must be one of the cosiest places in meath as it's a small restaurant. I have eaten in this restaurant several times, when its busy and quiet never failed to impress me and my friends. But i think after reading your review does not seem that you are interested in food, and i love this place and would really like to know what special you want in green curry after nice....Rightly said you are an Amateur...

Dined in this restaurant today. We chose onion bajhi's for starter (these were well flavoured and enjoyable). This was not the case with the main courses -I chose the butter chicken dish and my girlfriend had the korma. Both dishes looked appetising on arrival at the table. The taste of these dishes was very disappointing. There was an excessive amount of sugar / sweetner added during cooking and it felt like we were eating dessert instead of a main course. We pointed this out to the waiter who seemed to have little / no experience of dealing with complaints. There was no offer of a reduction in the bill or even a complimentary coffee. He merely asked if we had eaten there before - we said we hadn't but we had eaten the same dishes in other indians and we never had this experience before. Our bill arrived (delivered by someone who might be in charge) they didn't even speak or acknowledge the problem. We paid our bill - € 40.35 and left and we will definetly not dine here again nor recommend to anyone.

im always in this restaurant, and it never fails to impress me. this is by no means your ordinary 'run of the mill' indian cusine. its a really nice little restaurant, very cosy and nicely decorated, not over the top. we were ere as an early valintines, we booked for 6.00 and were asked to give the table bk by 7.30, loads of time. i had a chcik pea starter and my husband had the chicken seekh kebeb. for mains i had 2 side orders, lentals and saag aloo and my husband had a lamb balti. food was great as was the service.i never knew about this website untill i read it on one of the menus and im delighted i registered as theres a alot of nice restaurants that i would like to review. good luck to copper and spices, and i hope they keep the good food and service up.

I sincerely doubt the provenance of so many flattering reviews. The food here is mediocre at best, finished tables left uncleared, food spilled onto floor not cleared up.

We tried a take away from the restaurant and it was amazing. Take away was reataurant quality and very good value. We had the Chicken Balti, Prawn Jalfrezi (fresh prawns not little tiny frozen ones), rice and mushroom bhaji. All were delicious.. Everything tasted freshly cooked, with little oil. Very large portions, enough to do us for lunch the next day. Cant wait until next time!!

dined here with some family new years eve. the restaurant was booked out. staff were friendly. food was great. music started playing at 9.30, it was great. at nidnight we all got champagne and we all gathered together, customers and staff and brought in the new year together. i ahve to comment on the whole night and say that my family dont eat spicy food and the food for them was made very mild and very irish, seabass with champ and veg. it was great.

Attended the christmas party night in the restaurant last night & had a brilliant time. The food was exceptional & service brilliant. Entainment provided & simply cant speak highly enough about the place. The restaurant is well worth visiting & the takeaway doesnt lack in quality like some restaurants do, obviously it cant be as good as sitting in house yet its a very close second. Highly recomended to anyone who likes asian food or to the novices as you wont be disappointed. A must if your in the area

Had fantastic meal here last month. I'm a bit iffy with spicy food so a bit wary of Indian restaurants. The staff were fantastic recommending particular dishes and making them milder for me. Very friendly service in a wonderful warm atmosphere. Friends adored the Balti, and the (extra, extra mild) Butter Chicken was absolutely delicious! Appeared very busy with deliveries and takeaways, and i can see why. Very reasonably priced for a great meal and great service. Going back next week and can't wait!

Fantastic Saturday evening in this restaurant. From start till finish everything was top notch. Dining room had a brilliant atmosphere even though they were not fully packed out, which prompted us for extra drink. To start we shared a Indian platter, what else u wud go for when u wish to try evry starter. I mains we had seabass which was lovely and i had their speciality chicken which was served so delicately and it was impressive. Service in the restaurant was gud as i hate people coming to tables too much.We also had 2 bottles of vino and bill total was just 90euros. Brilliant evening we had.

Copper and spice was the 1st ever Indian that myself and partner tried. We both went with 2 friends whom had a taste for Indian. I found the food fabulous service excellent and the ambience brilliant. It caters for die hard indian fans and "virgin" fans like us. What i really like is the fact it is different. Not your same old boring steak and chips. This is 21st century food at its best. Both owners made it ther business to make our night special. Thanks and see u again !

I love this place, the Restaurant itself is beautifally decorated and has a lovely cosy astmosphere. The staff are extremly friendly and welcoming, I am a very fussy eater but they are always willing to take on a challange when I want to try something different. The food is to die for, the only bad thing is it'll make you want to go back again and again. Overall the service, food and atompshpere is top notch.

We booked a table and were greeted by lovely staff on our night of dining. I had been on a girls night too and everyone had a brilliant night. We tried different starters than we got recommendations from the owner and we were not dissapointed. The food is absolutely gorgeous. We also get takeaways quite frequently from Copper and Spices and I have to say that they never falter on delivering top class food

I have eaten here a few times now and have always found it great. From the atmosphere, nice surroundings and great food ! The staff are always polite and very helpful too. We were well impressed the second time when they greeted us by our names. I have brought my friends and they were also well impressed with it too. Its menu is nice and plenty of selection on it and its very reasonable too !!!

Looking at the reviews,i decided to try it out...arrived to the restaurant around 7 and had to stand there literally for 3-4 minutes before someone could show us the table(couldnt understand cause there was only one more table in there).there was a faint pungent smell coming from where we were sitting so we changed our table ...the food was ordinary and decor very boring...dont know what those reviews are about....

I came to this restaurant with my friends and we all loved it. The fascinating part was so much choice on the menu.Being vegetarian i had Chana masala and dal tadka as mains and they vwere fabulous..Nice and spicy. My friends went for the set menu which was 25euros but they only had 2 course and the hostess informed us that since we had 2 courses only it will be 22.95 euros only which was brilliant. Attention was being paid by the floor staff. We also had 2 bottles of French wine which was very moderately priced. Everything was lovely and enjoyable. The best part was even the restaurant was busy we were not rushed through our courses. Lovely place. Highly recommended
