A top class chinese restaurant. Went here of dinner and would also use their take away service often. The chili garlic prawns on the start menu are delicious, their thai curry is lovely and the service and setting is excellent.

I have visited this restaurant on at least 30 occasions and cannot fault the food, it is always consistently excellent quality and presentation. The staff are fantastic. They have great value dinner menu every night of the week and will always make sure you are happy with what you have ordered. Portion size is excellent. I had to write this review in response to the review on this web site.

Very busy when we arrived, waited 25 mins for a table no-one exlpained all you can eat menu was not explained to us. ordered 2 courses - waited 2 hours!! no staff member asked it everyt hing was ok. Portions so small, 8 small pieces of chicken in our main course. Did not say anything as we had already waited so long. We felt like we were in the way, as we had our 2 year old with us. Not impressed at all, and so over priced or what we got. Could not wait to leave

In this restaurant their cheat clients. They advertised that they have spcial offer -EAT ALL YOU WISH fo 17.50 - for them that means selct 1 starter, 1 soup, 1 main course, and tea or coffee!!! That is not EAT ALL YOU WISH!!!! portion are small, service poor, waitress rude. If you thinking about going there -do not do it - better drive to Drogheda and enjoy good food with nice service in any of chinese restaurant there.

Worst restaurant experience ever, and have been eating in this place since it opened. Hadn't been in about three months but went last nite, two of us with 2 kids. Ordered at half seven and at half 9 still had not been served mains. Disgraceful, poor attitude of staff, no manager on duty and no communication. Awful stuff. I actually thought i saw the manager sneak out of the kitchen at one stage, he must have been cooking and hence the slowness, It was awful stuff and we left before the final mains came out, two came out, then ten mins later another and then the fourth ten mins after still no sign. Asked for manager three times and was ignored, asked for Bill and they tried to charge us full amount, absolute cheek. I agreed a little over half, absolutely disgusting attitude of some of their staff. Will never go again and told them this, didn't bother them. Staff also had the attitude that because we were complaining their English got a little worse. Alot of people were experiencing same, and others complaining too, everyone should have just walked out. A shame, used to be a classy joint.

I've been here a number of times, most recently the night before St Patricks Day at about 6.50pm (a Wednesday) with our 4 year old. No booking, and there was a mad palavar to take armchairs out, put ordinary chairs in, move tables around - the staff seemed to have to move nearly every stick of furniture to accommodate us - there's only 3 of us! This all seemed to be so they wouldn't have to put us in the other room, down the back of the restaurant (nearer the kichen). Couldn't see why - there were a few people in it by the time we left. Anyway, after about 15 minutes of rearranging, we were seated. It was, unfortunately, another hour before we saw a starter i.e. 8pm - and we had enquired in the meantime. Even then, it was just mine that arrived - which I gave to the 4 year old who was starving and seriously bored by then. Another 10 minutes passed before more of the starter arrived. They were finished before we were able to enquire after the final starter - the staff member looked blank and went off to get it. All in all, it took us 2.5 hours to have a meal - and it wasn't that we wanted to linger (nobody with a 4 year old does that). Our 4 year old had started trying to curl up in a foetal position on the chair to go to sleep between the starter (i.e. mine, that she had) and her dinner arriving. Food was lovely, but the service was horrendously slow and there were others complaining also - mainly the people arriving for take-outs - and from what we could see, they were getting served a lot quicker than us!! I couldn't go back, unless I heard in the meantime that service had improved. The 4 year old used to enquire as to when we could visit, each time we drove past. She hasn't mentioned it once since our last visit. It's a shame, but easily fixable, hopefully.

Chans is definitely one of my favourite Chinese restaurants. We eat here at least 1-2 times per month and the food and service are always great. The new All You Can Eat menu is outstanding value - €17.50 and you can pretty much keep ordering! It's not a buffet which is what I originally pictured, you simply order off the menu...and order...and order! I'm getting hungry just thinking of it!

Can't fault anything in this place. Always consistent with good food. Service is excellent, the waiters know us by now and know our bottle of wine and where we like to sit. Food is excellent, staff very friendly but not in your face. I eat here every two weeks. Only one thing that can't be helped, sometimes (only sometimes) you can get a family beside you with a screaming kid. Though the waiters are good a sitting families and couples apart to avoid this. Defo reccomened

Visited this restaurant several times. need to comment on its consistancy. Regardless if its a week night or a busy weekend lunch/evening meal the service is always impecable. staff can't do enough for you. Food is always warm, fresh and very tasty. Have eaten here with a crowd and also romantic meal for 2. Would highly recommend Chans for any occasion.

Have eaten in chans on many occassions and a real pleasure each time. The staff can't do enough for you. The minute your water is empty someone appears straight away filling it agan. The food is top quality and I'd reccomend the duck with crab sauce or the crispy shredded beef in chilli. The mixed plater starter is nice to share and give you a little taste of things. The only thing that isn't the best is the desserts apart from the lovely sorbet. The take away is lovely too

I'm afraid I haven't eaten in the restaurant yet, but having eaten from the takeaway on several occasions I do intend to dine in. The staff are very friendly, the restaurant decor is good and the food is delicious, I particularly like the Beef Curry. Good value for money too as i've noticed their prices are slightly lower than most Chinese takeaway prices. I look forward to eating in the restaurant.
