Had family meal at La Pizzeria, had forgotten how good food is here. We all enjoyed our starters of mushrooms and garlic bread shared. Half pizza Isobel and half pasta dishes of carbonara & tortellini, (my son said 'best ever') along with breast of chicken with white wine sauce (non gluten sauce made). The half portions are plenty and allows you enjoy pizza too!! Too full for dessert. Busy buzz , we dined at 6.30 and the place was full. Consistently good, will return soon. Good value.

We nearly despaired of finding a good late-night meal in Drogheda until we found La Pizzeria. The notice on the door said very firmly "Closed" -- but the chef, visible behind the window, waved us in ! We had a lovely pizza, hot and filled with anchovies and lots of cheese, followed by superb home-made tiramisu, and coffee -- and then a sambuca each ! The creamy layer on the tiramisu was especially nice, but a little more liqueur around the base would have made the whole sweet really perfect. Service was excellent, friendly and chatty -- and also very efficient. The price was good too -- less than 40 Euro total for a shared pizza (a 12-inch pizza for each of us would have been too much to eat), half a carafe of wine, dessert, coffee and the sambuca. Definitely to be recommended; and if we find ourselves in Drogheda again, we know where to go for a meal.

Yum Yum Yum....that is the best way to describe La Pizzeria. I went here last night with a group of friends, the food was devine. We had booked our table for 9 o'clock to get the last sitting. We just had to wait a few minutes for our table to come free, there is not much waiting room though and we had to stand beside peoples tables who were eating. The restaurant is quiet small with tables close together but it makes up for this with the quality of food. Tables book out very quick so you usually need to book well in advance. To start I had the garlic bread with cheese which was delicious and for the main course I had Chicken in White Wine & Creamy Mushroom Sauce it was just mouth watering. Prices are very reasonable & I will surely return here in the future.

This is my favourite place to eat outside of Sicily! I've been eating here for at least 20 years and have Never had a bad experience. The Pizzas are divine, handmade at the front of house, the aroma meets you halfway up the street and whets even the poorest of appetites. The steak is huge, tender and very tasty, the chicken Marsala is to die for and the wine list although short is well chosen and excellent value. Make sure you have a booking and only expect to have 2 - 2.30 hours at the table, the food is such good value that demand for tables is huge and you are not paying enough to hold the table all night.

While other, more esteemed, reviewers may exclaim that Enniscorthy has the only REAL Italian restaurant in Ireland I would encourage all to take a look at La Pizzeria. Having lived in Drogheda all my life, and never once crossing the threshold of this Peter Street eatery, I recently took the plunge on a sunny Sunday evening. To my surprise the place was thronged! Happily though the staff squeezed us in and delivered an excellent dining experience. La Pizzeria lives up to its name, with great pizza in a very homely atmosphere. Well worth a visit, though avoid disappointment and book first!

i have been going the pizza ria for ten years now and have never been disappointed, the best pizza in the town by far!Service is very good once you get seated.Beware you may be told to come back later if your table is'nt ready which is my only flaw with the place.Food takes a while to arrive as it is all freshly made up!

One of Drogheda's longest standing restaurants. Huge portions of reliable honest food. Great wines and a famous atmosphere. The decor is basic don't let this put you off. Go there try it you WILL NOT be disappointed.
