Fuchsia House Restaurant and The Gables Bar 5.0 star review: 3 of us visited Fuchsia House after hearing rave reviews about it from friends. It was worth the trip to Ardee. The menu is varied from ethnic curries to steak and fish dishes. 2 of us shared the Friday night curry selection which was amazing - 4 curries with a selection of rice and indian breads - amazing value!
I had the early bird menu which was only 16.90 for 3 courses - the onion bhajis and salmon darne finished off with a deadly chocolate brownie, enough to make you want to come back. We left with a 'Curry Night In' variety of homemade sauces made by the chef himself from his mothers recipies and appropriately called 'Aruna' after her '. Only €10 for the pack which allowed me to repeat the Fuchsia House experience at home for neighbours last night. Definitely one to try out and we will be back.

Fuchsia House Restaurant and The Gables Bar 5.0 star review: We go to Fuchia House all the time. I'm very adventurous but my husband isn't. He loves his Callaghans steak. I love my curries. This is a great all rounder. We've been going there since Tom Doorley reviewed the place about 3 years ago and have never been disappointed. That's a big ask of any restaurant. The staff know us now and everyting is very personalised. Great value too, many mains under €15.

Lamb Cutlets with Garlic, Lemon and Paprika


Why not make up a large quantity of this marinade in advance – it is wonderful with cutlets and would also work well with leg steaks or loin chops. The longer you marinate the meat for, the better the flavour!
