This was our first visit to The GlassHouse and we were very impressed. From the second you enter to the time you leave you are treated so well by all of the staff. One of our party is a Coeliac and she said that she had never seen such an extensive gluten free menu ever so thumbs up for that. Also the belly of pork is just sublime! We had a lovely evening in this fab restaurant and will be recommending to all !. Thank you!!

I booked this restaurant on the evening we were going, it was a very nice friendly man that took the booking, We went for the early bird set menu which was great value 3 courses for €25. We were greeted by a very nice Hostess, who served us most of the evening. My Husband had the Prawn Pil Pil and I had the chowder for starters, both were excellent, I had the chicken and my husband had the pork, again both were very good, The crumble was really good, as was the cheesecake. Some of the other reviews say "it not a quick in and out place" but I'm not complaining, as I hate the food almost coming out before I order it. It seems to have a lot of repeat diners. I will eat here the next time I'm in Limerick. We really enjoyed our dining experience here.

We ate here on a Tuesday night. The place was very quiet which was nice and to be expected on a Tuesday.

The waiter and waitress were really friendly and ensured we had everything we needed. The service was excellent.

The food was really well prepared, tasty and fresh. I had the beef burger for the main course and they certainly don't skimp on portion size! €25 for a 3 course meal which was excellent value. I tasted all the deserts and they were delicious.

Visited here on a very busy Saturday night. Lovely setting both inside and in terms of the views. We had a lovely meal very enjoyable with friendly helpful service if a little slow at times. I would recommend both for the food and the atmosphere.

This Restaurant is one of the best I have visited for a long time. Its busy, buzzy, has a full bar downstairs, magnificent views and the food is just delicious.

The service is excellent - I would recommend this to anyone who wants a great night out with great food.

The Glasshouse is a place for good food and a nice atmosphere. We were welcomed warmly and it was quite relaxed and friendly.
We all ate from the Xmas set menu. It was not exactly as advertised on the web site and the back of the toilet door :) For example, it was hake instead of sea bass. Not a major problem though, and they were able to do a vegetarian dish when the option on the set menu didn't suit. However when we asked for no shitake in the wild mushroom risotto, we were told it couldn't be done. Very strange, as surely risotto has to be made fresh for each table? We got over that also however, and the risotto was delicious. Though it came out so quickly that it had to be recooked so it could be eaten at the time that everyone else ate at the table….
We were there during the winter water crisis, and unfortunately there was no water in the sinks. Understandable of course, but there were no disinfectant wipes or anything provided in the toilets, so you basically could not clean your hands… not good.
However in general the service was friendly and welcoming and the food was good, so we got over these small things.

This is a relatively new restaurant in limerick so there is a buzz about it and it did not disappoint. In the middle of a crazy Christmas rush outside it was an ideal time-out haven for a hearty and great value dinner. The prawns I had were divine and while the bangers and mash might sound ordinary, they were gourmet speciality sausages and the lightest and well whipped mash I have ever tasted. The descriptions on the menu belie the true gourmet taste and my partner had a steak which was cooked exactly to his liking.
The staff were friendly, courteous and so welcoming and calm in what must have been a frantic time, it being a couple of days before Christmas.
I can't wait to go back.

I ate here with a few friends here last week for our annual xmas party. I had heard a few bad reviews about the place before we came but still wanted to try the place out for ourselves. The set menu was 30euro for 3 courses. I had the prawns starter followed bt risotto main and finished with the crumble for dessert. All were really delicious and everyone at the table really enjoyed their choices. The place is quite small but had a good atmosphere and service was fine. so although we went in not expecting much we were all pleasantly surprised. i would really recommend this place for dinner and will be back

We arrived as a party of 9 for dinner in the Glasshouse tonight. The staff swiftly delivered us to our table and left us waiting for nothing. The service was excellent with a funky ambiance and eager-to-please staff, you could even note the banter they were having amongst themselves. The food was top class, we even got to order outside of the menu, and everyone cleared their plates. The Duck confit and Fish of the Day with chorizo ratatouille deserve particular attention. The food on offer was the best many had tasted for awhile. When a drink was spilt mid-story, the staff acted quickly with zero fuss, in fact any fuss being made was simply to ensure that we had a good night. Will definitely be recommending the Glasshouse to our friends.

Lamb Cutlets with Garlic, Lemon and Paprika

Why not make up a large quantity of this marinade in advance – it is wonderful with cutlets and would also work well with leg steaks or loin chops. The longer you marinate the meat for, the better the flavour!
