Fab restaurant. Very relaxing and lovely atmosphere. Brilliant menu with a great mixture and the value menu was excellent. Also an extensive cocktail and wine menu. I had the Prawn pil pil which was hot prawns in a lovely sauce with fresh bread as a starter. It was soooooooooo good 10/10. Then had a burger, beautiful and the chips are tasty too. Was completely full. Food so good. Person with me had goats cheese crostini and chicken and would highly recommend the lemon and rhubard dessert. Go here!!

Love this place. Got beef carpaccio to start and venison for main. All ingredients beautiful and fresh. Great wine menu. Staff are on the ball and professional. Been here 3 times and can't wait to go again. My favourite restaurant in Limerick so far.

I really enjoyed the Cornstore in Limerick. I went with my partner for a romantic meal and it certainly was that. The tables were far apart from each other and the lights were low with candles burning. The staff were very attentive & the portions were very large. Would highly recommend.

Dined on June Bank Holiday (Saturday June 4th 2011) "Love Gourmet Weekend" For starters we had the Sauteed Foie Gras & Wild Mushrooms on French Toasted Brioche & White Truffle Oil. This was very good but maybe a little more seasoning would have made it perfect. Our tastes parted ways and for Mains I had Fillet of Beef Rossini with Rosti Potato, Foie Gras and Red Wine Jus. Again very well presented and taste was excellent. For fillet beef though a little tougher than I would have expected. My better half had Pan Seared Wild Turbot with Citrus Mash, Summer Greens and Heirloom Tomato Salsa. This was truly delicious. For dessert I had the cheese plate (three Irish cheeses, grapes and sliced apple) and my wife had Local Raspberry Crem Brulee with Amaretto Biscuit. Service was excellent and the appearance and atmosphere were really good.

Visited this restaurant in Feb 2011, loved the decor and the atmosphere and the place had a really cosy feel. We had the early bird which consisted of 3 courses for 25 euro. There was four of us having dinner and all four of us thoroughly enjoyed all 3 courses. The sticky toffee pudding was a definite favourite at our table! Service was excellent despite the fact that the restaurant was really busy. I really felt we got value for money and would highly recommend this place. Will definitely be going back on my next trip to Limerick.

I booked online, very easy to do and was sent a reminder. When myself and my partner arrived, they had a table reserved in a lovely part of the restaurant, food and service was excellent once again. This is my favourite restaurant.

I went here for lunch on a Sunday and found it excellent. The food was great, and so was the service from the waitresses and manager. We ordered from the set lunch menu of 2 courses for €14.95. The choice was great and it was such good value. I had the goat's cheese crostini and the baked salmon with mangetout and hollandaise sauce. It was amazing. My sister had the prawn piri piri and the lamb special. She said it was the best lamb dish she ever had! Both the salmon and the lamb were melt in the mouth. The service was attentive but not intrusive. The staff were also happy to chat if we asked them anything. The only fault was that the jug of water wasn't chilled. There was no hassle getting ice from them though. The only real complaint I would have is that the kid's menu is €9. There's a great choice for the kids, and it does come with a drink and dessert. But as most kids don't eat all that much, €9 was a bit much. Especially when it was €15 for the adults. They do a baby bowl for free, for under 2s, which does soften the blow. I'll definitely be back for more!

Was at home at the weekend and decided that I wanted a decent lunch for once & had heard great things about this place. I wasn't disapopinted. Had 3 lite bites between two of us and it was perfect. My sister had the goats cheese crostini and I had the feta & pommegranate salad - both were excellent and we shared the chicken wings. I'm particularly picky when it comes to wings I don't want them covered in barbeque sauce accompanied with garlic mayo - I want proper chicken wing sauce and blue cheese dressing to dip them in. And these chicken wings were fantastic. A lovely piquant sauce the right side of spicey and the best blue cheese dressing I've had in ages. Add to that the fact they were decently sized and there was a very generous portion of them. Not forgetting the charming, informative and attentive service. I hope I can go back for dinner next time.

Myself and 2 friends were visiting Limerick for the night and the Cornstore was recommended to us. We went early and were able to get the early bird menu for €25 for 3 courses. The restaurant was pretty busy at this time and there was a good buzz there. There was a lot of choices on the menu andI went for the crab cakes and pork belly. Both tasted great as did the other food ordered. Desert of Lemon Posset was very nice too. We also sampled some of the cocktails on the menu, which were great too. The service was very friendly and efficient. Only pity was that there wasn't any space at the bar for us to have another cocktail before leaving. I would go back again next time I'm in Limerick.

My family went here for New Year's Day and it was absolutely fantastic. The menu choice the value and the service was top class. 3 Course meal for €25 and kids menu for €9. So much to choose from but I had the goats cheese to start and it was exceptional. The steak was cooked to perfection and the vegetables and chips were beautiful. The kids menu was brilliant lots to choose from and portions were great. I cant wait for my next visit!

One of my all time favourite restaurants in Limerick. My boyfriend had their spicy chicken wings which were amazing but a word of advice these should be shared as the portion is just too big for one person. This is the same with their Garlic bread loaf which is an actual loaf of bread. Still really good though but it's good to know the portion sizes. Their starter of Prawn Pil pil is fab too and not too big a portion. I had the monk fish and on a different occasion I had their special of Turbet which were both really good. I did however have food envy with my boyfriends fillet steak. One of the best steaks I've ever tasted. Can't wait to go back

Went here for a work night out and the food and wine was amazing. I asked for bread for a starter and was amazed when they brought be out a whole loaf which was so fresh and still warm!! Was so full after the meal i couldn't finish the desert! The service was great. However they were a bit slow bringing out the main course!

Ate here as part of Dine in Limerick Week, prommegranite& feta salad starter...5 tiny tiny pieces of feta. Thai Green Curry with Prawns...Rice undercooked by about 3mins, and sauce very thin, bordering on watery... Eton mess..very tasty but why serve it in a plastic bowl... The whole point of Dine in Limerick is to entice new customers..based on this visit I wont be rushing back. Also didnt appreciate the pushy bar man at the front asking us 4times what we were having to drink.

Walking in the door & got a smashing reception. Just off the train & after a quick smile from the maitre'd & (no; a pet hate of mine - "Have you a reservation"?) "Welcome, can I take your bag?". Scene set, cocktail at the bar which was quick, well built & tasted great; off to our table. (Being a bank holiday weekend - they were still full & were happy to let us have a cocktail at the bar before dinner). Olives, prawn pil pil to share (for us three) followed by chateaubriand for the two ladies & a lemon sole for me. Too full to eat any more despite a tempting offer of a shared cheese plate. Great service. Super atmosphere. Cannot wait to go back.

I have eaten in the Cornstore several times over the past few months and every time it has been excellent. The steak is to die for and the Thai curry is fantastic. I love the decor and atmosphere in there and the cocktails are fab. It is great for a celebration or just a dinner for two. Having tried most of the menu I suppose I would like to see a revamped menu at this stage.

This is a great restaurant to recommend to friends/visitors to Limerick. I and three friends ate her last Thursday evening and all four of us were delighted with the quality of the food and the ambience of the place. The service was a bit slow but the waitress was very pleasant and was under pressure - the place was buzzing. A great spot!

I took my boyfriend here last night for his birthday as he had not been there before. I had made our booking through menupages. The gentleman working front of house who met us on arrival & showed us to our seats upstairs was friendy and very professional. He advised the person who would come to take our order would inform us of the nights specials. We were seated in by a wall. The atmosphere upstairs was loud and buzzing. A waitress arrived to take our order. Her English was poor. I went for the salad for starters & Thai green chicken curry and side order of chips for mains. My boyfriend choose Mussels for starters and asked what the specials for the night were. The waitress did not know so went away to find out and returned with little sheets with them written down. He could not understand what she was saying so choose the sole for mains. A different waitress arrived out with our two mains. I advised that we had not had our starters yet. She apologised and returned them to the kitchen. 30 seconds later a head waitress/manager came to our table with the girl behind her and apologised re starters. She advised that we could have our starters after our mains for else have our mains and she would bring us out complimentary sides. We choose to have our mains. She brought us out complimantry chips and friend onions/mushrooms mix. Both our mains were lovely. I was very impressed with my chicken curry. After our dinner no one came back to check on us. It was like we were forgotten about. At least 15/20mins passed before a waitor came and cleared our table. He did not ask us if we would like to see the dessert menu etc. We waited as i was finishing off my glass of wine. Finally a lovely girl came over and asked if we would like our bill. We told her we would like to see dessert menu. The stickey toffee pudding was lovely. Food fab, overall service disappointing

Went here with my partner for Valentines night. We were seated upstairs. The pplace is lovely very clean and service was superb. However, the menu was not very big with quite a small range of dishes. I got the wings for starter they were a slight letdown. The service and the dessert however salvaged the night. All in all good but not exceptional.

Went here last Friday Night "Our first time"...We firstly had to wait 40 minutes at the bar before being taken to our seats,Our seats were next to the smoking area which was very frustrating as a draft blew in on us everytime someone went out to smoke.. The starters were small and way overpriced as were the mains which we waited 50 minutes for...We complained to a manager who was very rude and unconcerned..

We ate here for our Christmas night out as I had been to the Cornstore in Cork and was really impressed by the food, atmosphere and the staff. However we were very disappointed with the entire night. We were seated in the upstairs area and there was such a draft that we had to put our coats back for most of the evening. The service was very slow as there was not enough staff, I think 2 staff taking orders on a busy night and a very long wait in between courses. Altogether a very disappointing night.

We held our office Christmas party here this year. It took over half an hour to seat us and as there was an extremely crowded waiting area this was really not acceptable. It was very uncomfortable. Most people enjoyed their mains however, mine was quite bland. Although the waiting staff were good there was simply not enough of them. Good atmosphere and nice bar area.

The ambience here is perfect for a quiet meal with friends or a couple. Nice decor and lighting - it really sets a lovely tone. the staff were equally attentive and accomodating. The food, while innovative could I feel have been more desirable. The blue cheese salad to start was creative on the menu but not as exciting on the plate. The sea bass while beautifully cooked would have been well served with a side of potato and veg. The cous cous and mango coulis with it were again creative but lacking. Over all I would rate this restaurant excellent in terms of staff attentiveness and ambience but requiring development on the food. Definately worth a visit though.

It's been a while since I ate out in Limerick. There was never much of a choice in the mid-range bracket. Cornstone is a little gem. Friendly service, a nice range of simple but well presented food. We shared a starter of chicken wings. Normally, it's a no-brainer and bland. These were fantastic. Nice sweet glazing with a decent dip. Well done. I had the vegetable curry. Lovely, not too spicey for the more conservative pallets. My colleague had the homemade burger which was a hit. Would I recommend it? Yes!

Ask for a quiet table if you're looking for a romantic meal. We were put beside the bar which was busy with people on a night out getting their cocktails. Not what we were looking for that night. Decor is lovely, food is nice too.

Was part of a group of eight for a Friday night earlybird. Excellent value for money, 3 Courses & wine worked out at about €30 per head. The food was really tasty, the portions were just right and the waiters were attentive but not obtrusive. And they were more than happy to obligue when asked to embarrass someone on their birthday with candles and singing!

A great spot for a great meal! Went here recently and really enjoyed it, great menu, lots of choices and yummy food! I went for the mussels starter, which were some of the best I've had in ages. Its a busy spot, so not ideal for a romantic meal for two... but brilliant for a gang, or family. WILL BE BACK!

was here with a group of 7. as others have said a very busy place looks like its non-stop. obviously a lot of money setting up what is definitely a *business*. expensive decor, well-trained staff who are skilled at getting you to buy that extra bottle of wine - but in the nicest possible way. Its the sort of place where everything has a code on the computer - so of course we were charged extra for an extra portion of bread. Food was fine though it is actually hard to remember what I ate - the site reminded me that it was a pumpkin gnocchi which was fine if nothing to write home about. side dishes are extra but good. cheeseboard was particularly good quality (but not cheap!) wine was from the Wine Buff which was a good sign. I'm not from Limerick but I can see this place doing really well in a city that has very few decent restaurants given its size

Recommended by TripAdvisor.com. Am a bit of a "foodie", former chef, now college professor, and enjoy, when traveling abroad, sampling distinctive local restaurants. Cornstore Limerick gets top marks in almost all aspects, most especially in the food & service departments. Service was swift, friendly but unobtrusive, polite, and expert. On the night, I had a salmon, brandied carrot, and "black-pudding" (certainly far more delectable than any "black-pudding" *I've* ever had before!) entree, while my companion, a vegetarian, enjoyed superb gnocchi, butternut squash, and salad. Wine list was good, and gave excellent value; a glass of the Les Jamelles PN complemented the fish nicely. Food was top notch: well-selected and fresh ingredients, thoughtful seasoning, carefully and expertly cooked, imaginative and artful but not ostentatious presentation. My congratulations to Cornstore Limerick for providing thoughtful, respectful, and friendly food-service of very high quality.

Ate here for a family occasion and was very impressed with the place and the service. Each waiter that came to our table was so friendly and polite and when each course arrived that manager came to see if everything was ok. We ate from a set menu which had ample choice and was great value at 27E for 3 courses. I had the burger which was a little underdone for my liking but the other dishes that the table had were all lovely, would recommend this place for sure.

Visited here as a treat for an evening out recently and was really disappointed. On arrival we were told the table wasn't ready,no problem. However after 20 minutes of being ignored we were still waiting. Anyone arriving in the meantime was seated! On our third request for our table we were finally led to one.On the way he noticed another empty table which had clearly been set and ready for a while but they'd missed it! So they'd left us waiting needlessly! They just seemed too busy and weren't able to cope with it. The waiting staff were under pressure rushing around and so dropping things on occasion. It wasn't a nice dining atmosphere at all. The meal itself was nice. The wine however wasn't good value. I ordered a glass and didn't even get half a glass! I would be reluctant to go back as there was no enjoyment in dining here.

Decided to try the Cornstore based on the great reviews it has received on menupages. The decor was lovely and while the food was nice it was nothing overly special and it was overpriced. I definitely think you can get better value for money elsewhere in Limerick. A pity because I was really looking forward to this.

Went for an early bird with my husband, got a nice table. Atmosphere was really good, for 7pm, the place was packed. Food was good value, portions really big. Was stuffed when I left. We will go back again

Sat night dinner for a group of 7, loved the cocktails and the cheese board. Mains were perfectly portioned, desserts a little large if that is a complaint! Service tended to be slow at times, but apart from that a great spot.

Myself and a few friends ate here on Saturday night, first visit. The decor is fab although a little dark. Service was consistently excellent throughout the night. Our waitress was friendly, knowledgeable and chirpy, she really made our evening. Food was good all round and the atmosphere was buzzing! I would highly recommend the Cornstore.

Lovely place- decor is great. Depending on where you are sat it can be extremely dark! I was offered a torch to read the menu- bit dissapointing as i do like to see what i'm eating- they say you eat with your eyes first!!! Saying this i have always left with a smile on my face and felt very satisfied. Its a great addition to Limerick and the food will not dissapoint.

I went here Saturday night with friends, there were 6 of us and the table they sat us at was a bit small, there were 2 benches each needing to sit 3 of us, however they would have probably been more suited to two on each side. Three of us had goats cheese to begin which was delicious. I had chicken to follow which was slightly cold and looked pretty thrown together, it also did not fully meet the menu description. The resturant was very busy and everything felt a bit rushed. Overall I was expecting much better.

Visited The Cornstore on Thursday with three friends. Was advised to book and happy we did as was very busy when we arrived. The decor is fantastic and the atmosphere lively. We had two starters to share Crab Claws and the Mussels, all of which we loved. For mains two Rib- eyes, Cod and Pork Belly. My friends all enjoyed theirs and I had the Pork Belly which was excellent. Shared the creme brule and crumble for dessert. I had heard good reports and can see why. The Cornstore is a most welcome addition to the Limerick dining scene. it had atmosphere in abundance, food was tasty, service friendly and efficient. Will def visit again soon and recommend.

I was treated to dinner at the Cornstore just before Christmas for my birthday and thoroughly enjoyed it. The waitress who served us is excellent at her job. She's very interested and knowledgable about the food/menu in general and is also very chirpy. I enquired about the slowroasted pork belly and it's claim that it was in the oven for 12 hours and she assured me that was the case and highly recommended it. So i opted for that as the main and it was really lovely and nice to see it on the menu. For starters i went for crab claws and they were really excellent and a lovely portion too with plenty of crab claws on the plate. The Argentinian red which was recommended to us at €29 was perfect and to finish we shared a lovely cheese board and i had a port also. Had a great meal and the prices weren't too crazy and were pretty much in or around what you pay in other similar locations around town. One cautionary note - the excellent beer list is very expensive. Bottles of beer range from the cheapest at €5.50 to around €8 which is nuts in the current climate. So surprisingly i didn't opt to try any beer which i would have done if they weren't such a crazy price. Apart from that most other things on the menu are competitively priced but only the beer is a mad price. But dont let that stop you from trying this place.

very dark restaurant, was offered a torch so i could read my menu. I had the pork belly which was very dry but the veg with it was nice. Found it hard to get a waiters attention. My partner had the steak which was nice. Bit pricey but big portions.
