Always love staying in One Pery Square, it's such a lovely friendly, elegant hotel. The dining room is lovely and there's always a great atmosphere. Excellent food and very good value for money! :-)

lovely size restaurant with 1 of the best wine lists i've seen. service was excellent and really an ideal venue to go with a boutique hotel.

I absolutley love this restaurant. there is nothing in Limerick with the same atmosphere. This Georgian hotel is full of suprises, every room has a different feel to it. The drawing room is fabulous and they serve afternoon tea which has a great selection. The classical french style Brasserie is just beautiful and the food is delisious. I am a regular for the Early bird menu which is superb value and than I always treat myself to a cocktail :)

We were staying at the hotel and benefited from the early bird menu which was available on Friday evening. From start to finish the food was superb. I had the beef bourguignon which was mouth watering. My partner had the steak which I tasted and would strongly recommend. A great atmosphere and a superb selection of wines. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

The menu is small so we expected items to be well executed. Not so. Why put a cut of beef (steak) on the menu that cannot be eaten, due to toughness, when cooked any more than medium rare???? The staff were good but overstretched. We were not asked if dishes were satisfactory during any course. This place flatters to deceive.

We went here for brunch and were very impressed. The food was really good however, I would rather the menu had a more breakfast feel to it also. What we had was very good. Even if more sides were available this would be sufficient. The brunch menu was very good value and the decor is really nice. It was very quiet when were were there I would prefer if it was busier as it would add to the atmosphere. I am delighted there is someone finally doing a good brunch in Limerick. Overall very good and definately worth a visit.

Really nice food, unfortunately being a Thursday night, it was very empty - 2 other tables I think. The food is good - I had smoked salmon to start. It was delicious, but the portion was huge - it was a whole salmon fillet, which is too filling for a starter. For mains I had the duck with sweet potato and pickled beetroot. This was delicious, apart from the beetroot - which was hard as a rock. I presume it was meant to be that way, but I found it very strange. Great value at €75 for 2 people and a bottle of wine. Would definitely recommend.

Decor is very elegant, unfortunately the lack of soft furnishings makes for a noisy room and I was disappointed that the only linen was the napkins and the cutlery was placed directly on the wooden table. Initially we were presented with basket of exceptionally good bread, which set my expectation high for the evening ahead. Our first course was Jerusalem artichoke soup, langoustines, mussels & scallop with lemongrass oil, the soup was delicious, the scallop cooked to perfection but the langoustine and mussel were tasteless and no hint of the lemon oil. My husband had Mosaic of foie gras, duck liver & confit duck, chestnut puree, pickled onions, and he was served a silky smooth and delicate pate. For main course I had the Steak frites: Prime Hereford fillet steak with chips, watercress & béarnaise sauce and although I was aware of what I ordered I was disappointed to see chips as the companion to a fillet, particularly one served with such a delicate béarnaise sauce, the steak was good however if a little on the skimpy side. I also ordered a green salad but the dish it was served in made it difficult not to end up with greenery all over the table. My husband had the cod on a bed of tagliatelle with chorizo oil; it turned out to have batons of chorizo in the tagliatelle (not on the menu) which somewhat over powered the cod. Dessert was a selection of chocolate, bitter chocolate tart, chocolate mousse, malted chocolate ice cream & cocoa jelly, all divine. And an apple tatin worthy of any patisserie. Overall I felt it the food was good but extremely expensive for what it is (with a bottle of wine €160) and although I would eat there again I had higher expectations

I went here with my partner and we were really impressed. We were initially seated near the door which we found a little drafty so asked to move which wasn't a problem. The service was friendly and attentive, the waitress recommended a lovely wine based on our preferences and got it just right. The meal started with a beautiful butternut squash amuse bouche with a goats cheese foam, compliments of the chef. For starter we had rabbit rillitte served with piccalilli and a caramelized onion and cashel blue tart, both delicious. For main I had the halibut with toasted almonds which was cooked to perfection. My partner had the surf and turf which comprised of home corned beef and scallops, again beautifully cooked. My partner ended his meal with a cheese plate, wonderfully presented and accompanied by quince jelly and crackers. 3 courses with coffee (irish & calypso) and a bottle of wine, €121 before tip. A little pricey but absolutely worth it. Wonderful food, wonderful atmosphere, perfect for a special evening.

I found Brasserie one a very much hit and miss affair. My starter of steak tartar was delicious and while the main course of poached cod was very well cooked it was a bit bland. I found the whole idea of paying extra for potatoes and veg a bit odd. When the meal is going to come to €65 to €70 having to pay €3.50 for potatoes and another €3.50 for beans a bit much. It felt a bit like being in a Chinese where they tell you that it's 50cent extra for fried rice.... The quantity of veg that comes with the meal is purely decorative. For desert I went for "chocolate". It was extremely rich and was served on a very pretentious black slate. Even though the restaurant was pretty dark you could still tell that black slates aren't the easiest to keep clean and stain and scratch very easily. It's a little off putting. The chocolate was a selection of chocolate in various guises and textures. Very sinful. It must have been sitting under a heat lamp for a few minutes though as the ice-cream and more delicate pieces of chocolate were a bit melted. My partner had the veal for main and to be honest it was a bit stringy and bland piece of meat. The apple tart tatin and duck terrine looked lovely, I didn't taste but they seemed to go down well. The wine (Syrah, Simone Joseph, Cotes du Rhone,) was very good and very reasonably priced, well recommended. The service was very good and polite. A bit of banter with the waitress is always good. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice. It's located upstairs. It's surprisingly far from the bar/reception. The lighting is a bit dark but that’s par for the course these days. the place was full and people seemed to be enjoying it. All in all I found it a bit expensive for what I had. Perhaps I made a bad choice for my main course. I think if they did a set price menu for €55 (with supplements for the steak etc) it might come across a bit better. 3 course Dinner for two with coffee and a bottle of wine €130.

We went here for a birthday celebration and we were not disappointed. We arrived into reception and were directed to the bar for pre dinner drinks. Lovely bar - very comfortable and tranquil. When we were ready we were shown to the restaurant and seated at a table looking at lovely georgian houses. There was a lovely buzz in the restaurant and everybody seemed to be enjoying themselves. I ordered duck to start and my partner ordered a wood pigeon salad - absolutely amazing. We had beef cheek and monkfish for main course. The food just kept getting better and better!! After such good 1st and 2nd courses, we had to overindulge with desserts. The chocolate fondant speaks for itself and the pineapple cake was amazing. Overall, the experience topped our expectations. The food and service were both excellent and we will definitely be back - this time to try out their new menu for €25. Sounds like good value and if this experience is anything to go by it will be very good!

The food, service and restuarant cannot be faulted but the place lacks a huge amount of atmosphere mid-week, also found that the wine by the glass is very much over-priced
