We went here for tapas, the place was deserted. We were the only 2 customers! Tapas menu came to us as an a4 sheet on a clipboard (first impressions = poor). Tapas menu was good, but not great. I had the skewers and skins, my partner the prawns and chicken wings. Chicken Skewers, wings and prawns were nice but the potato skins were withered, seems like they had been there a while and were not hot! We had the dessert, which had a sample of 4 desserts and all were ok. The apple crumble was not hot and the lemon tart did not taste of lemon! Overall, I wouldn't be going back here in a hurry, the tapas menu needs to be more varied, much of the same stuff is repeated across the page (to me it seems to just fill the page!). The lighting was dark and dreary, could barely see the floor when walking in the door. This place should remain as a bar/pub and focus on food bites rather than being spanish about their tapas... because they ain't adding any Spanish to their decor.

Dropped in Sat eve for some lovely tapas. I had the battered cod and a goat's cheese salad - it was very tastey. There was a good crowd and a good buzz in the pub as well.

Dropped in here while shopping in Limerick for dinner. The atmosphere is lovely, very contemporary yet warm feel to the bar and restaurant area. I ordered the carbonara and was very impressed. It was bursting with taste and the portion was huge. My partner ordered the burger with pepper sauce and was very happy also. Staff were friendly and attentive. We left happy and well prepapred for more shopping!

Visited Aubars with a friend for lunch, food was really lovely, good high standard and the staff were lovely! Friendly, chatty and gave us plenty of good suggestions as to what was good to eat! They weren't in any way pushy though! Great place to visit and can't wait to go back!

I'm a big fan of Aubars food, and hate that they no longer do food on Sundays! But what can you do... Anyway, the food is always great here, and the menu seems to change regularly. This can also be a bad thing of course, if you love a particular dish and then they stop doing it :) The food always comes out looking, and tasting, great. The soup is pricey at €5.50, but at least it is always delish. They are now doing a 2 course meal for €15, plus tea or coffee, which can be good value, depending on what you order ;)

Love the fact that they try to be different from the usual fare .Menus tend to be adventurous .And food a good standard .However sometimes the more adventerous dishes can be swamped by the sauces , and prices a bit steap . Wraps & sandwiches good value for money though .

Aubars is a great spot for Lunch. They have sandwiches and delicious cakes. It's just off the main shopping street so very convienient for stopping in. Paninis and Sandwiches come with chips which makes them very good value.

Visited Aubars one Tuesday afternoon for lunch. It was reallly busy inside (always a good sign!) but they found us a table straight away. The food was delicious- I had the burger and fries, my friend had the seafood chowder with brown bread. Amazing food, very good service, a bit pricey but (usually) you get what you pay for. Overall great restaurant.

I have to highly recommend this place. Have been quite a few times and just keep going back. The menu is great - love the eggs benedict - and the atmosphere is very pleasant. It can get a bit busy but staff are efficient and it never feels like we're waiting long. Also child friendly. You have to try it.

Stopped by here for some lunch with my bf on a Sunday. I had the Chicken with homemade chips and salad and my bf had the all day breakfast- we really really enjoyed our meal here, it was very tasty! Unfortuntely it took 40 mins for our main courses to arrive-unusual for a pub and one that did not appear to be busy! We asked the waitress for dessert menus but they never came and didnt want to have to wait again! Funnily enough it was the same waitress who we then paid the bill to and she still didnt realise she had forgotten to bring us the dessert menus! We sat in a cosy corner which was lovely until the manager? asked the barman to pull down the tv screen over our heads so the hurling could be watched!!!! Surely if they know they will be using the tvs then they would seat customers elsewhere!!!! Maybe we just came on a bad day or perhaps im just too picky!!! Good food just let down by poor customer service.

I reguarly eat here, usually in the bar , and have never had a bad meal. The staff are very helpful, and know their menu well..what ingredients are used etc. Home made chips are fab as are the salads and desserts.

Had the pasta with roast vegetables & feta -vegetarian version . it was flavourless and in fact had a rancid after taste. just plain horrible, returned it and was not charged no fuss made ,polite apology offered . my friends club sandwich was perfect. I got the chocolate cake and it was rich and delicious , and presented beautifully with caramel sauce , a real hit for chocolate lovers !service friendly and helpful.the cake is priced at the high end of the range but is quality, the pasta dish is over priced at 10 for a vegetarian diah.

Always reliable, with wonderful staff.whether for a glass of wine at Christmas in one of their cosy corners,or for a casual lunch with friends,Aubars is ideal. The portions are usually generous,so it works out at good value. Not alone are their lunches/dinners fresh and tasy, they have some excellent desserts too, like french chocolate torte, delicious cheesecake and great apple crumble with custard. Even if you're alone, you can find a quiet spot to enjoy an excellent latte and one of their crunchy scones. I've been here at every time of the day and every time of the year and find their chameleon-like ability to suit all occasions very reassuring. My only regret is that they used to serve fabulous sausages as part of their breakfast.they have since been replaced with bog standard sausages. You're better than that,Aubars!

We booked this restaurant based on reviews read here and were'nt disappointed. Four of us shared two delicious starters of chicken wings and some very tasty bread and dips followed by the special T-bone steak x 2, 10oz fillet and a surf and turf 8oz ribeye and two juicy king prawns. The bill came to a surprisingly low €130. The service was excellent and they've a nice and reasonably priced wine list. Worth a try.

Great place for lunch but also for a dinner toward the weekend. Staff are usually excellent and they never dissappoint with the food. Went there about three months ago for dinner one Saturday evening and was very please. Excellent goats cheese starter followed by a perfectly cooked rare steak. Good bottle of Flurie to wash it down. Go there for lunch any day or a meal as you approach the weekend.

I took some friends here last Friday evening for the Early Bird Value Menu and was not disappointed. I had the warm Inagh goats cheese to start with the Rib-Eye steak for mains. The presentation was delightful and more importantly the food tasted delicious. We stayed on for Cocktails in the lively bar afterwards. A great evening had by all.

Very good place for lunch. There are daily specials as well as the set menu. Service is very welcoming and professional. It is a good idea to book as it gets very busy.It is a pity the lunch menu is not displayed but I can recommend both the chicken dish and the salmon.

Lunch menu is delicious - have only went there for lunch but was gorgeous and good value for money also, however there could be more atmosphere there.
