I meet family here as its a half way location for Sunday lunch on a regular basis. They offer excellent deals for mains, desert and coffee and its hard to be beaten, As its buffet style you can get as much or as little as you like. The servers are courteous and helpful and always make you feel special. Management are always on hand keeping an eye on things and ensuring that customers are kept happy.Food is tasty and well presented and the dining area is very pleasant. Nice smoking area and handy parking just outside. Its minutes from the Crescent shopping centre so we pop there afterwards for a spot of retail therapy to work off our fine meal. This is a regular on my list. I also see parties and groups catered for with a lot of special offers.

Lovely pub food. They have an outstanding value menu of 12.95 for two courses and 14.95 for a four course menu. I had the soup for starters and Vol au Vant and chips for main course. I was too full to have a dessert or tea/coffee. The soup was just lovely, really filling. The waiter was lovely. The pub was quietish to we were able to relax and enjoy our food.

it was our first time time to visit the Restaurant at the Unicorn. It's a great place for go for simple honest food - Early bird menu is great - Good value too. Service was superb - Service with a natural smile, - She was very welcoming even though the place was busy when we came in and we hadn't made a reservation. I would highly recommend this Restaurant.

We had never been in Fables Restaurant , but what a pleasant surprise - The waitress was very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. The Restaurant was busy which is always a good sign. Three of us had steaks - cooked exactly the way we wanted them. The menu is very big - almost too many choices for us. I will definitely being going back to Fables.

Went her with friends and it looked good but soon changed, waited at reception for at least 4 mins and there was only one table of two there which does not sound long but it is when your standing there.. at last a lady appears! Got the early bird menu handed to us only which was quite strange, so we eventually got the a la carte 5 mins later. We ordered drinks and were waiting far too long and when they did come of course one missing another 20 mins. Had the chowder for starter was fine but the fish was way over cooked and tasteless. had the plaice for main course and was tasteless, no seasoning or any flavour what so ever, simply just put in the oven I’d say. My friends had steak same thing very tasteless. Service was not very good, she seemed as if she did not want to be there. This place has got great potential, it looks good, good location but I will not be returning unless I hear things have changed.

Nice place for lunch soup was great real homemade taste. Staff were very pleasant and prompt. Good European dish choice along with desserts and wines. Well managed at lunch time rush allowing for a good customer flow with no fuss. Value for money yes was good would like to see a few combo options added in And yes the toilets were very clean and appeared regulary attended to.

Great Value for Sunday lunch.. its only fault is that it can get a little cramped for space. However food is lovely and will go ago.
