Had dinner here on a Friday night in this fantastic Adare hotel. Really nice old style dining room with excellent and professional service. Meat carved in the middle of the restaurant which is a nice touch as well. Three course dinner for one was €30. Food was excellent, only minor issues portions on the small side and dont agree with compulsory Service charge on all F&B in the hotel but other than that a real gem and well worth the stop!

Ate here as part of deal where dinner was included in price of room so wasn't expecting alot as i find hotel restaurants often disappoint. Pleasantly surprised, tempura whiting to start was fresh, crisp and totally yummy - good size portions too. The cod with aniseed carrot puree as main was faultless and i wanted to chase down the chef and get the recipe. We finished with lemon curd tart with grapefruit sorbe and both cleared our plates. Service was very good, friendly but not intrusive. Lovely hotel, friendly staff and good food, i'd definately recommend it if the opportunity arises. Go on you're worth it!

Had dinner here on 2 evenings (most restaurants in Adare were closed on Sun & Mon in Feb?). The chicken liver pate I had was delicious – creamy, rich & accompanied with a selection of crackers/toast. The potato &leek soup was bland, lacked flavour, tasteless & no body. I make better myself. I have the roast beef (fillet cut) which was carved from the server tray in front of me. Delicious, I would just have liked more. I got 2 small slices & could easily have polished off 2 more. Delicious, real Irish mammy roast beef. The gravy which I normally don;t like was pure juice from the beef so was also delicious. My husband had the lamb which he said was lovely also. I had the cheese board for desert – got a selection of 4 cheeses, lots of crackers & grapes. Really nice. Himself had a lovely pannacotta. Wine selection was good too – as we wanted 2 half bootles, one white & one red, we got nice selection to choice from in half bottles. A small thing but the room could do with freshening up. Shabby chic is good, but shabby is not.

Was staying in the hotel, and got a three course meal included with our room price. I had goats cheese to start, was excellent portion size and delicious. My partner had the crab cake, which was very small! We both had the beef 'from the tray' - was tasty but a lot of fat on it. Seconds were offered which partner enjoyed! Sides of veg and mash were deleicious. Desserts were a bit 'too fancy', the atmosphere of the restaurant is homely and relaxed and the menu seemed a bit fussy. Service was excellent.

Stayed in the Dunraven Arms hotel last week for business and ate in the restaurant and the bar. Bar food: Had simple ham and cheese toastie, but it was well made, quailty ingredients. Restaurant: Service was a little on the slow side, but that may have been because I was eating by myself and more aware of how long it took. Had the wood pigeon salad to start and have to say I didn't rate it. The wood pigeon was undercooked and the salad was too stalky. However it also came with black pudding and a fabulous dressing that redeemed it slightly. For main I had the Goats cheese in filo pastry. Which was fab, a little sickly after a while but beautifully presented and served with a lovely pesto and risotto. For some reason I was also given mash and carrots on the side, obviously thy just give them to everyone but they did not complement the dish whatsoever. Overall it was a nice dinning experience but I wouldn't go out of my way to go back.

Love this place and will return. Simple, straightforward, fresh tasting lunch menu here with not a chicken wing or carvery in sight. Excellent value also. Passing through Adare at lunchtime I called in and the bar and conservatory area had a simple lunch menu comprising two main courses- hake (14 euro) and beef bourginon (12 euro) and a selection of interesting sandwiches @4.50 which were freshly prepared on delicious brown or white bread and nicely garnished and amazing value for such surroundings. Love to see a place which has a short menu and does it well. The service was attentive and speedy and the atmosphere was welcoming, summery and comfortable.

Lovely place. The food was fantastic and so was the service, I cannot really comment on the price as the meal was part of a package but a really enjoyable experience.
