We went to the Presidents bar for an informal bite to eat ahead of what was not-to-be France v Ireland rugby match. We sat in the 'conservatory' part of the bar which was beautiful with an amazing view overlooking the vast grounds. We were both absolutely starving and with many delicious sounding options we settled on a steak sandwich with wasabi mayo for him and I had the '12 hour slow cooked shoulder of pork on a torpedo roll'. Now when i say this was the nicest thing i've tasted in ages, i really mean it (and we eat out ALOT) it was absolutely gorgeous and came with a lovely fresh salad of baby leaves with a lovely dressing and french fries.. My hubbys steak sambo was nice, but neither of us thought the wasabi mayo was a nice addition, in fact it detracted from it we thought. We finished off with some coffees and were both satisfied that we had a nice bite to eat amoung surprisingly stunning surroundings. Service was very friendly but perhaps a tiny bit slow (possibly to do with a huge table of people and kids that arrived after us) but still, i'd prefer service friendly and accomodating in approach rather than swift and uptight. I get the impression the people working here want to please their guests rather than solely working for tips.. a real Irish welcome!

Went to the Presidents bar @ Mount Juliet for Sunday lunch recently. I had the burger and my friend had the steak both perfectly cooked to order and really tasty. My Burger had pepper sauce on the side. Both dishes were served with a salad, that was not just garnish it was mixed salad dressed in a light cream dressing, and chips. The food was delicious and the deserts to die for, I had the hot fudge brownie a must have for all chocolate lovers and my friend had the apple strudel also fabulous. The service was excellent, the atmosphere very pleasant. I look forward to eating here again soon.

Nice atmosphere. They have combined the bar menu and Kendalls restuarant, the bar menu is steak sandwiches burgers etc. The steak sandwich is ok, mediocre steak although cooked to order. The burger is described as charbroiled and is a cross between a burger and a meatloaf - it even comes with ketchup and gravy. Really not nice. The staff are lovely though and its a lovely place to visit. If you do fancy an excellent steak sandwich have it in the bar on the main Mount Juliet house - absolutely scrumptious!!

Surprisingly reasonably priced. 4 of us ate here 4 starters. 4 main, 4 dessert, 4 tea/coffee, 2 hot cocktails (delicious) 1 hot chocolate, pint of lager, 3 soft drinks €160. Food was delicious, service prompt and efficient. Loved it
